Common Questions and Answers about Exercise videos using ball

Avatar f tn I'm not like other people who can do hard core exercises with intense Cardio (mostly because I have a heart condition) but I like to do more low paced activities that I can do in my living room at my own pace, I enjoy a workout with an exercise ball, stretching, and activities like planking which use lots of muscle without having to hike up my heart rate unecessarily. However, I also have to do Cardio regularly and I enjoy using a bike or elliptical.
649848 tn?1534637300 My son's stuff is being stored in our spare room and he will soon be moving into our renovated basement - hopefully in another week. I will then have my eliptical back and will pull out my exercise ball and mat, start using my Yamuna ball rolling, have a small TV in there and will be able to do videos (want to try Tai Chi) and attach my WII Fit to it. Can't wait! I, too, need to get out of this fitness slump. I am too quick to use my creative excuses.
1285110 tn?1420150978 Theres not to my knowledge one exercise for just the hips, because they are pretty immobile, but if you target the areas around the hips it will work just fine. For example doing butt exercises. There needs to be more butt ones invented. Since you already do squats you can try the one when you are on all fours, raising each leg one by one as high as you can while its bent into the sky, keep your foot parallel to the ground not pointed. You can also do it with your legs straight.
Avatar f tn Mary Shomon has recommended the T Tap videos. Anyone else try it? I was thinking of getting it to add to my wellness routine. I have a strong recommendation if you have the budget. The Wii Fit has helped my Hashi leg pain. I do the strength training, aerobics, balance games and Yoga. Every game seems tailored to help this restless leg thing I've got. If I go a day without the Wii Fit, I can feel it in my legs.
Avatar f tn Any excersize suggestions that don't involve equipment (I have yoga mat and one of those huge Pilate ball things - I can't remember what they're called) so those would be fine, and they can't be super loud like a lot of jumping because I'm in a upper unit in apartment. Thanks!

Avatar n tn The whole workout will take 40 to 50 minutes with the warm-up. This workout includes exercises you do with dumbbells and a fitness ball. Repeat each exercise for 45 seconds or do 20 to 30 repetitions. Pick the weights for each exercise accordingly; you do not want weights that are too heavy or too light. Some exercises involve two moves at the same time, such as lunges and bicep curls.
4522800 tn?1470329434 I have been taking every natural thing I can think of to help build my fried brain back..I have everything from a Treadmill, weights, bike, videos even a palate chair if I spelled it right..lots of movie stars use it..I have all the CDs that goes with it.. I even have the Mindful Meditation Tapes..I am very, very confused on how down I feel sometimes..I do believe it will get better.
Avatar m tn I asked for a treadmill for Christmas and I have a few work out videos that I am thinking of using but I have no willpower or motivation whatsoever. I work at a job where I am required to sit at least 8 hours a day and the only exercise I get is to and from the car and going to lunch. I am around 5'5 3/4 and weigh around 230-235. I feel very unhealthy and very ugly and I really need some suggestions on the best and fastest way to lose weight.
Avatar m tn The most effective abdominal exercises include the bicycle crunch, reverse crunches and crunches on an exercise ball. Do abdominal exercises at least two days a week, performing one to two sets of 10 to 20 repetitions of each exercise. The Peak 8 routine it will quickly raise your heart rate 8 times for very short bursts, with a cooling down period in between. Ideally you’ll be sprinting or cycling full throttle for 30 seconds with a 90 second cool down in between each outburst.
362249 tn?1441318618 I really get bored quickly so use it, do some floor exercises, use my exercise ball, and we have an eliptical trainer which I get on. You can even run up and down your stairs. I am actually worried about when I change jobs and am working outside the home that it will be harder. Good luck!

148588 tn?1465782409 Okay, we go to a practice of one of our kids and we grab a soccer ball or football or even just a bouncy ball for our kids that aren't in the practice but have to be there with us to entertain themselves. But when you look around, what do you see? Most of the kids are holding their parents' phones playing games or watching videos. I think there is some benefit in some apps on occasion but the electronic babysitter now extends to our phones. Ugh. I'm guilty of it sometimes too . . .
Avatar f tn your baby still has time if he/she hasn't actually wedged its bones into the birth canal. Have you tryed crawling and using a yoga ball to swirl on. I read in an old midwifery book that both of those things daily can prompt your baby to flip right. Best of luck to you.
Avatar f tn Some exercises include leg raises, jacknifes, Swiss ball side crunches, side bends, Swiss ball crunches and hanging leg raises. Using the Swiss ball will recruit more ab muscles. Do each one of the exercises consecutively for 15 to 20 reps with no rest in between. Then take a 60-second break and do them all again. Repeat the whole circuit four to six times. Again you need to do cardio. training.
1894940 tn?1321300511 on the treadmill, and the rest varies from weight training, ball exercises, scrunches, etc.. I even go back in the afternoon to work out. I am very frustrated because I cannot loose the weight. The only time I lost is when they gave me Adipex and I lost 20 lbs. I am no longer on it and have gained about 5 of those pounds back. I eat healthier now than I ever did. I go through periods where I have strange cravings like hot sauce where I can just about drink it.
1222076 tn?1423031349 The problem is theirs not much healthy stuff I do like to eat but I guess thats one of the things you have to sacrafice on dieting. I also have an exercise ball I used and i went swimming yesterday. My legs have been sore from the exercise ball so I know its a good workout. I also did some yoga from youtube I will be checking out zumba soon as well.
Avatar f tn Mj will help calm him - its called self medicating - and might be better then booze. If he could get into exercise - strenuous exercise - he would also find that very helpful. What will help you the most is to understand what AD/HD is and how it effects people. Actually, that will help him a lot too. I suggest that you check out the following site. Its for adults and I think that both of you will find it very helpful. He does not have to be a slave to AD/ HD.

Avatar n tn Dieting Community. I'm new to this particular forum and am beginning the Nutritarian Diet. and exercise program for myself:) Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. When did you find out you had Graves disease.? WHOA , i read that Treatment with antithyroid medications must be given for six months to two years to be effective. Are you being treated for this condition?
10623623 tn?1414295689 But since being arrested, I am nothing but a walking, talking ball of anxiety. I am anxious from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed. It is quite debilitating, actually. I never knew what it felt like to have a panic attack or not want to get out of bed in the morning because the fear is so overwhelming. Obviously, this is circumstantial due to my arrest and pending legal issues. I have an appointment today with my therapist. I plan on asking him what to do about this issue.
Avatar n tn EDATE They are also recruiting now or will be soon for the Vertex trials using nonresponders, I don't have the info for that but maybe someone else on the board does, hopefully they will post it. Those are two I can think of that will be using nonresponders if you are going to try a trial. I would look at clinicaloptions.com and read their info and watch their videos on nonresponsive patients. You have to sign up for it but it is WELL worth the effort.
Avatar f tn She likely needs a whole lot more exercise than she's currently getting that includes both physical and mental work. Can you give us an idea of what a typical day is like for her?
Avatar f tn Her nose will tell her far more about her new environment than human contact. The exercise will help keep her calm and help her begin to look to you as a leader. It's not at all unusual for a dog to eat nothing or very little when in a completely new environment. How much of an appetite would you have if you were uprooted from everything familiar, no matter how bad it was? SHE doesn't know her last home was good, bad or indifferent. It simply "was.
Avatar n tn As for exercise, I would look into purchasing a piece of exercise equipment. While you can't get out to a gym with 3 boys, you can get them interested in a movie, and slip away to exercise for 20 minutes. Or have hubby give them a bath, and do it then. With heel spurs, I would reccommend an elliptical or a recumbent bike. Justify it to yourself this way - It is about the same $ as a membership fee and 6 months of dues, and you own it.
Avatar f tn SHe talks about how to only think the thoughts that will help you. You can watch some videos on youtube. This is not spam, I am not making any money referring you to listen and be happier.
Avatar m tn taking action changes that and puts the ball back in your court. start with making two columns on a piece of paper. label one side Evidence For Ruining My Life with HIV and the other side Evidence Against. write down as much evidence as you can for ruining your life or not and your risk factors from the exposure and i guarantee at the end, you will find that it is your Irrational thinking that is getting you upset, depressed, angry, guilty, fearful, anxious, etc.
Avatar f tn I have been coming on this forum for over 2 years and of the 473 posts I have contributed to I have only directed my friends to a handful of other sites, none of which wanted money from them. They were either humorous videos or studies on OvCa conducted by respected institutions. You have been coming on this forum for only a short while, yet you have so helpfully directed the forum members to numerous sites, all of which would like to extract money from them.
1374564 tn?1295063120 I am trying other ways to get through all of the stress, exercise is definitely one of those ways. I am fairly certain I am not addicted to the xanax at this time and I have watched a few videos of people w/d too and OMG it was horrifying. I am going to seek a new NA meeting here in town and also begin talking to a therapist as soon as I get all the new insurance details. I am not that stupid as to think I can handle the enormous amount of stress I am under alone.
4334575 tn?1403832612 The FIRST thing you need to do is to go ahead and make that initial appointment with a mental health provider, I would personally recommend a psychiatrist, mainly because with the amount of time you've been dealing with this, you're kind of in crisis mode, which probably will mean the possibility of using a medication for symptom management. I KNOW it's frustrating to have to wait for an appointment, but unfortunately, with specialists, that's just the way it is.
