Avatar f tn ok I have had the stress test for abnormal EKG, I passed this test with flying colors but have not yet heard the results. Would this be a good thing?
Avatar m tn Congrats, very glad to hear it!
Avatar f tn 55 into the test when I passed out. In that 4:55, I had frequent pvc's; 2 PVC couplets and 1 PVC triplet and my QRS segment of PVC's narrowed substantially with exercise, widening again in recovery (180 ms to 80 ms) which I was told was a problem.
212161 tn?1599427282 Hi, we'll I had my stress test done, just the exercise one with no dye or pictures, I ran it about 7 mins got my heart to 104 percent, could of keep going if I needed to, had no chest pains, or sob. They said you passed sent me on my way. Good news My question is , without pics how much can they tell about the heart, if I had a blockage would it had shown up? Should I feel good about my heart? Thank you so much for all your time.
Avatar m tn m not a needle guy and I actually passed out and hit my head on the wall when they were putting the IV in - prior to the stress test. I freaked the nurses out. I insisted on getting the stress test done after that and the cardiologist agreed that it would be a good "worst case" scenario. So I still got up and ran on the treadmill for them. I want to say that I ran for 15 minutes. But they're monitoring you BP/HR etc so don't worry. They're not going to kill you!
Avatar n tn They want to do a chemical stress test using lexiscan drug. I am terrified, should I be? I read so many bad experiences with this type of test.. I heard the drug stops your heart...
Avatar m tn Ejection refraction, determined by left ventricle is really good . The rest of your test looks great . No blockages ,no stents required good news. I'm not a Dr but from my experience your stress test is good. . I have ischemic heart disease and my EF is 49. My pulse hardly breaks 50 and if it does its because I'm working out to keep the heart strong. The left ventricle is weaken by the disease with was caused by Agent Orange from Vietnam. I'm old , 68, and still here .
212161 tn?1599427282 Overall, a nuclear stress test is about 85 - 90% accurate.Your chance of a cardiac event after a normal nuclear stress test is about 1.62% per year for the next 10 years, better than a sampling of the general public. Normally, a blockage will show up once it hits approx 70% occluded. I know you read about people that have a stress test that is normal and drop dead the next day, don't get too worked up about that.
1491262 tn?1288413065 my husband just had a nuclear stress test he has to go back to the dr. Avatar f tn Ok so since 31+4 weeks I have to see my ob/gyn once a week and have a non stress test done each time im 32+4 weeks now it is very stressful to me because I have my 4 year old and it has taken l&d like 5 hours both times to get it done, and I have to do this every week till baby gets here.. The reason I have to have it done is bc I lost my last baby at 34 weeks... does anyone else have to do this test and it take so long?

Avatar m tn Stress has a way of initially motivating and encouraging anxiety and depression. More stress makes it worse and eventually it will cause physical problems. Sorry, for the discouraging news. Just the way it seems to me now.
976897 tn?1379167602 My brother took the treadmill stress test and he is a conditioned athlete but said the same thing "the most uncomfortable experience ever". He had bad chest pains (the presenting reason for the test) but the test was completely normal. His turned out to be due to a muscle problem in his chest. I have to get one in a month and I am scared witless, even the feeling of tachycardia is enough to give me a panic attack. Good luck.
Avatar n tn Yesterday I went to the doctor that I am 12 weeks and 2 days it showed a Netflix they had to do a CVS test which is similar to amniocentesis I have to wait until tomorrow to get the results it showed pockets of fluid behind his neck I'm really worried and I've never heard of this has anyone else and please help me talk to God about this. Doctor tells me not to worry til we know what to worry about. Help me.
Avatar f tn Yes you are correct that many people feel differently during a stress test induced chemically. Even people with healthy hearts can feel a tightening in the chest and someone with disease may feel nothing at all. Maybe a key is how calm you stay during the inducing of the stress. I can imagine some people may let anxiety really kick in. I'm glad you now know the problem, and I agree, stress tests are excellent for finding problems.
Avatar n tn Had anyone had a bad non stress test. I got news today that my baby girl is not moving like she should. Her heart rate us low and the Dr said I need to keep and eye on her movements. Said if they don't pick up I have to call them and see what they want to do. I'm scared for my baby girl now I want her to be happy and healthy.
Avatar m tn ve had three over the last 6 years, and one a few years before that when the test was called a thallium stress test...it is nuclear too, but it seems thallium is no longer used. I have no known side-effects and I have gotten two false positives. The latest one that gave this was about 2 years ago, and so I underwent a catheter study and there were no blocks. I think the bottom line is, if the nuclear stress test says you do not have blockage, you most likely don't.
Avatar m tn im worried about pancreatic cancer being a culprit but i haved heard a peep from my gp.......is no news good news.....im going to call monday........surely they would ve called had there been anything obvious on my ct scan, abdomen ultrasound and exray..........

Avatar f tn Lynn- When we get honest, a lot of stress just goes away! Tell the doctor you took an opiate for 5 days...it's the best thing to do. Opiates stay in the baby's system much longer than in an adult. It has to do with fetal circulation, which is different than our circulation. Cord blood is tested at birth. So, to be prudent, the doctor needs to know from you what you've taken. I'm sure it will be just fine.
378273 tn?1262097621 Awwww, what good news for you:) I'm so happy you were able to get this news heading into the holidays...Now you can have a rested mind and enjoy yourself! There is truth to what the Dr mentioned about the possibility of more frequent Afib episodes. Electrically the AFIB attacks tend to become longer and more frequent: “AFIB begets AFIB.” I wouldn't worry about this right now...
Avatar m tn re so right -- I was really happy to have received the news that my stress test results were completely normal!
Avatar f tn It was " suggested " that I have a stress test. It's not mandatory so I'm wondering if I should have one done at all. Has anyone had a stress test? If so what did the results reveal?
Avatar f tn I have an apt today to do a stress test since am over due. I want to go in there informed, does anyone know what it is or whats going to happen?
Avatar f tn In a low risk pregnancy a non stress test or stress test would only be warranted if their was a concern. However diabetics (both gestational and non) have a higher rate of stillborn babies (still rare, but better to be safe) so its common practice to keep a closer eye as the pregnancy nears the end.
