391561 tn?1227047215 I may take a look on a computer-help forum to see if there is any information out on your warning. I (all should) try to avoid opening any email coming from a source I don't trust, and I in fact usually don't open email for addresses I know unless the email also contains a personal introduction about the attached, i.e., say something that lets me know the sender is the sender, not some evil person's effort.
Avatar n tn I was told the result of my stress test revealed a sizable fixed region of diminished perfusion involving inferior wall of the ventricle extending to the apex, also a less smaller less conspicuous focus of diminished perfusion involving the anterior wall of the left ventricle, what does all this mean?
Avatar n tn She gets sweating wlile walking app 200m distence for last 5-6 years. so her stress test was done. baseline ECG is normal. On Bruce protocol she could walk for upto 2 min on treadmill. There were no ECG changes during test, but during recovery phase she developed ST depression with T inversion in II, III, AVF , I, aVL and V2 to V6 for 10 min. She was not having chest pain at that time. She is undergoing Cor angio shortly. What is the probability that she can have Triple vessel disease?
Avatar f tn s an underlying problem somewhere and a knowledgeable computer technician can locate the source of the problem. It would be a shame not to have YOU around here...and I surely hope you'll consider this instead of just not accessing MedHelp. We love you and don't want you to quit posting...OK?
Avatar n tn I had a gated stress test and the report states: myoview stress test: stress and resting spec views of heart were obtained in vertical long axis, horizontal long axis and in short axis projection. There is uniform distribution of isotope throughout the myocardium following stress. Resting scan reveals similar findings. No reversible changes are noted. Ejection fraction measures 69%. All of that sounds ok then primary diagnostic code is minor abnormality! What is abnormal?
Avatar n tn Yesterday I had a nuclear stress test and within a couple hours I felt a hot itchy spot about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide from my shoulder down. The place where the Adenesine was injected did not get red. About 4 hours later I called my drs service and one of them returned my call and we discussed whether I needed to go to the ER. I chose to take a couple benedryl instead. Today the red long blotch is still there. I went to my cardio dr.
Avatar f tn There can be a false positive but modern nuclear stress tests include computer programs that correct for some of this blurring and muffling.
Avatar m tn Having this as my main source of anxiety I can often relate to many of the various situations out in this community. There is often a common thread in these messages relating to a source of one's nervousness...the internet. Remember, the internet is a great resource to reference information, but be VERY careful and consider the source.
1491262 tn?1288413065 my husband just had a nuclear stress test he has to go back to the dr. Wednesday , they said he had some blockage and they saw a place on his heart they want to check out he has had triple bypass and had a heart attack last year . they want to do some kind of dye test now what could this mean ? and what might the dr. do im trying to understand all of this .
Avatar m tn Hi Gregory..agree with CalGal. The cipro is an antibiotic and may "mask" the stool sample results. The other is an anti diahrrea med, and will...well make it tougher to provide said sample..lol. May wanna also check out probiotics during your antibiotic round - there are a few brands that will "survive" the cipro and help replenish your gut (Florastor is one). Is your hospital's "main lab" open 24 hours?
Avatar m tn I sit at my computer at work with a window with blinds party open about 12 feet behind the screen. Sometimes my eyes catch the light from the outside and the "cloud" appears. My work computer at home has the window to the right and when my vision moves from the screen to something on my desk (or occasionally just when looking at the screen) the "cloud" will appear at the corner where the light is. This seems to happen when there's a medium (or more) amount of contrast.
Avatar f tn My mom went to see a Heart Specialist and he recommended the Adenosine Stress Test. She is not having any chest pains, but this he said would make sure there are no blockages. I would like more information about this procedure and is it dangerous? Another doctor had recommended a stress test that involved putting something in her veins and it would make her heart speed up. This Heart Specialist said no, and that this Adenosine Stress Test is not the same thing.
Avatar m tn I recently took a treadmill stress test and nuclear stress test. Basically, the conclusions are that I have: 1) moderate size inferior ischemia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) ECG is positive for ischemia at a good workload. No chest pains, no arrhythmia. I've research the Internet and have reached a tentative first impression, but would appreciate any professional feedback on the above three conclusions. I am being scheduled for a heart catheterization. Thank you.
Avatar n tn My thallium stress test results were: moderate pefusion abnormality of mild to moderate intensity in the inferoseptal and apical regions slight soft tissue attenuation inferior lt consistant with gut artifact hypokensis of the septum suggestion of a small degree of inferoseptal ischemia. Have been referred to a cardiologist but would like to understand what this means. Thanks This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn What does it mean when, during a exercise stress test (treadmill), they tell you to stop early? Is it most likely a good thing or a bad one? Details: Given a stress test for heart rate irregularities. Resting rate was around 80, and bp around 110/70. Between 3-6 min on the treadmill my bp was 170/80 and heartrate was over 140. At 7-8 minutes they told me I could stop because "they had all the information they needed." They said I would have the results in a couple of days.
Avatar f tn test with myocardial perfusion imaging revealed mild to moderate ischemia involving the basal anterior septum and mid anterior septal walls. He is status post recent (4/7/08) four-vessel bypass graft with a LIMA to the LAD. My husband has been labeled a walking piece of plaque by his cardiologist. With his open-heart surgery being so recent, with him being diabetic, and he has never had any symptoms of his illness - should this recent test be looked into further by your opinion?
Avatar f tn I have been having on and off headaches all day that last seconds when looking at light. When I was born my doctor said I had big pupils and would be sensitive to light, but it's so bad the headaches aren't horrible I did have a headache as soon as I got home I sat at my computer monitor and it was horrible is this stress? I have anxiety and it's pretty severe. Should I worry? I'm 14 and never had head promblem etc.
Avatar m tn When there are malware in the CPU, the optimum performance of your computer is hampered. Also, when your ROM is high on capacity, you will see that your computer begins to malfunction / functions compromisingly. Similarly, when a human being is high on anxiety, it results in to paranoia and the brain does every thing to the body, please undestand the brain isvery powerful and it certainly can do a lot of things to your body with out even you realizing it.
Avatar m tn My cousin masturbated using my computer for a porn source, I then typed on my key board as I was picking a few big scabs on my hand the scabs were bleeding. I am not sure if there was fluid on the keys, mouse or on my hands/fingers but was not looking for it at that time. Do I have a Risk? He came on the floor but was not sure if it got on his hand and then on the keys and then I touched it.
Avatar m tn they have called it angina. but I have No blockages found. Chemical Stress test is fine. But on the treadmill have thobbing back pain between shoulder blades, caused by activity, exciting. nitro doesn't not have any effect .Blood pressure soars when attacks starts. what could it be. Have saw 3 cardio doctors Had the pain for 20 years. 70 years old. triple bypass done in 1998.
Avatar f tn My husband is 66 and recently had a SPECT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging Study (stress test). It was essentially normal, with the exception of the following: "there is a moderate sized reversible defect of the inferior and apical walls". The left ventricle was normal in size and the ejection fractions were 57% at rest and 63% post stress. The internet resources suggest that such a defect could be indicative of a prior silent heart attack. Is this true?
Avatar f tn I had a sick headache, nausea and dizziness which just got worse during the day. My blood pressure 2 hrs after the stress test was something over 96...the test showed no problems with my heart, but my pressure jumped to about 200 over 100 during the test. I did not feel better until they told me I was dehydrated, even though I had been drinking water and juice all day, and I drank many electrolyte drinks. What was this? They had no answer.
Avatar n tn If I could suggest one thing, if you are going in for a stress test, perhaps you should ask for a nuclear stress test. You will get all the advantages of a normal stress test but also get a look at the blood flow in your heart. My Doctor let me go straight to a nuclear stress test, and it's a piece of cake as well. In addition, it has a much higher accuracy rate than a normal exercise stress test. Just a thought, good luck!
