Avatar n tn I don't feel stressed and why does it come on when I exercise or do heavy work? Isn't exercise supposed to relieve stress? I don't know if I am making it worse by plowing through or if that is the best thing to do.
98010 tn?1305903335 It seems like everytime I add exercise to my healthy eating I tend to gain weight instead of lose. After several weeks of trying to be patient and give the exercise program (mostly aerobic walking) a chance, I tend to get frustrated and give up exercising because my goal is to lose weight not gain it. Does this happen to anyone else? Am I not giving exercise enough time to see the benefits? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn We are trying to get pregnant, and today I am at least five to six days late for my period. I did a pregnancy test this morning that came up negative. How reliable is that result since I usually have such a normal cycle? I don't have any other symptoms besides frequent urination and butterflies in my stomach that could just be from the excitement of the whole situation.

61536 tn?1340701763 They come, they go. One month exercise causes them, the next month exercise is the only time they don't pester me. For months I could predict ovulation to the DAY just by the palpitation pattern. Now, there's no discernable pattern at all. I'm a person who needs to know how things tick. It's more curiosity than anxiety. It's a drive, a need to know. I took apart all my toys as a kid because I wasn't just content to play with something, I had to know the mechanics of it.
Avatar n tn It's also important to note that depression itself can have negative effects on a pregnancy; not only because the mother may not care for herself as well as she would otherwise, but also because of the increased stress hormones that are produced during a depressive episode. In fact, studies have shown that an untreated depressive episode can be detrimental to a fetus. This puts the mother-to-be in quite a bind.
Avatar n tn I have alot of chest pains, and heaviness in my chest. I have extreme fatigue. I know it's not due to exercise , because I have exercise intolorance, so I walk and due very light exercise. I think my heart has went back into vtach. So I have just wasted my money on this product. With some it may do okay. But not for me. I did not loose any weight. I have a diet plan and can't have caffeine. So good luck to everyone else. Avatar m tn Yes. Matter of fact, she just stated last night "your putting a little weight on..." Having read all of these highly negative reports acros dozens of web sites, I replied "statistics from 10,000+ Lexapro users say it is due to the Lexapro, NOT because I sit on the couch in front of the T.V too much!
230262 tn?1316649534 Hey... this is not an easy thing to fix... BUT!!! The good news is, is that IS VERY FIXABLE!!! I am on day 7, you are NOT alone here. I dont know how much youve been taking and if you went cold turkey or what, but, I am proof that even 7 days later, its tough. But, I will not let some stupid substance ruin what I do have in life. Look at everything you have and do not I repeat do not focus on the things you dont have!!! And if you believe I would ask you to consider praying... it works!!!
Avatar n tn Learn about relaxation techniques where you tighten and loosen your muscles, as people tend to be very tense. Exercise as much as possible - swimming and running is good. Eat good food & cut out sugar. Do not take anti depressants or any drugs. Try to cut down on alcohol. Get a job and lifestyle that causes you the least stress - you have to know your limitations. Get a massage as much as possible - especially the shoulders and neck where most tension builds up.
445263 tn?1208805016 He said it is very common for Doctors to prescribe it at that dose 50-100 and that if I get benefits from the 25mg I absolutely shouldn't need to double my dose and my doctor agreed. I do still have a little anxiety but it is much, much better. I'm ok with a little discomfort, I don't want to keep drugging myself until I feel nothing, I'm sure you know what I mean. Just like you if I get feeling bad I will take a 1/2 Klonopin or Xanax though it's pretty rare.
Avatar n tn -- The breathing needs patience - do it everyday and you will notice benefits slowly. It works very gently and naturally and so the benefits start to be noticed after a few weeks. Some of you have tried and benefited and commented and it is nice to know.Only by doing you benefit. After you feel better, keep up the breathing exercises once a day to keep the symptoms away.
Avatar n tn With every medication, you have to weigh out the benefits/risks. The computer is a great resource, but if I believed everything I read, and that it would happen to me, I could have myself dying by the end of the day!! Stay informed, but when it concerns your health, get info from your personal Doc. My opinion...
748543 tn?1463449675 Ever wonder why your chiropractic adjustments don't hold for long? Of course we can exercise and be mindful of our posture. However long-term we see that this conflict will have its say. In my experience, examining both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients of my practice, I have found most often that even in asymptomatic patients the area of conflict lies within the spine; namely the cervical area. So the price for accommodation to the poor bite is most often paid for by our neck.
Avatar n tn Another way to describe it is like when your walking on a boat dock, and as you step, the floor is wobbly. I don't feel dizzy like the room is spinning, and it happens suddenly, then is gone after a second. It's quite frightening, it almost also feels like my body just stopped working for a split second, and almost like I'm going to faint. It happened this morning when I got out of bed a couple of times, and a few more times as I made my way to work.
Avatar f tn I have tried putting lotion w/ no purfume or anything in it before I exercise, but it's not working. I have also had my dh spray my legs with water to cool them off, but that isn't working either. I don't want to give this up, but I can't take this itching anymore. I walk and/or my tredmill everyday, sometimes several times a day, so I don't think just getting used to it is the problem. Does anybody have any idea how to make this stop? I will try anything!
Avatar n tn I can see there are more opinions on this than I had expected! I've been reading, surfing, googling and my head is spinning with all the information. I have an appt for an EMB for hyperplasia (not atypical) coming up in early August and will discuss the ovary problem at length with my Gyn Doc. I've been taking provera for the hyperplasia, hope that is all cleared up.
Avatar n tn I have seen numerous neurologists and had tried all the generic with basically the same negative results...a hangover and experiencing a sureal feeling...even to the point of falling resulting in a head injury along with hip and knee injuries...all attributable to the generic. As it has been explained to me by the neurologists is that the filler is the key.
Avatar m tn He'd obviously caused a lot of irritation to the ulnar nerve where it originates in the neck. I've just had 4 weeks off all exercise and am feeling better, although the pain in my neck is still there and is a bit worse than before thanks to the physio (but again only when tilting my head back). I went to another physio and he just said that my nervous system was extremely irritable (thanks to what the other guy had done) and it should calm down after a couple of weeks.
Avatar f tn Recent research on professional athletes shows that supplementing with vitamin D2 does increase muscle soreness and recovery time after bouts of intense exercise. *The time cholecalciferol stays in that form is around 24 hrs as most of it will be converted to the storage form Calcidiol.
Avatar m tn At age 25 (just guessing) - if you promise to take care of you heart otherwise (eat well, don't smoke, exercise, watch your weight, etc...) yeah it's worth it. Good luck. Do you know what the max out of pocket is for your insurance plan? If not, call and find out... that's how much cash you need on hand.
Avatar n tn I've had tinnitus in my left ear for three years and I've been having non-spinning vertigo since Sept 07, - my vertigo feels like I'm tilting / tipping, dipping / lifting and is constant and everyday - I do not have nausea, however, thank goodness! I also have tremendous head pressure from the base of my skull, my ears feel full and there's pressure behind my eyes to the top of my head (not a headache). I've been tested for Meniere's disease but hearing tests show I have no hearing loss.
147426 tn?1317269232 All of my labs have come back negative, (lyme, vitamins, cbc) EMG Negative, ENT doc said wasn't my ears. My mri (no contrast) came back negative. so I have been told it can't be MS. ( I saw a nurse practisioner with Neuro)Really, what is it! 293157 tn?1285877039 I am on 1800 mg a day and am suffering spinning sensations (vertigo). It's my own fault because I thought it was making me gain weight so I lowered my own dose (slowly) to see if it made a difference and when it didn't I started upping back to my normal dose to get the burning sensations back under control. Now I too have to suffer some side effects. Hang in there it will get better and you are not alone.
