how much seroquel, xanax, and alcohol causes an overdose. im qworried about my sister, she ha been prescribed xanax for 8 years now at 2mg a day, so her tolerance is well established. she is also an alcoholic. thankfully, she knows not to combine xanax while drinking, but what about the addition of seroquel? could she OD from the pill combination alone? would then the addition of alcohol just pretty much seal her fate?

was on klonpin 11 yrs prior to xanax.. but just methadone and xanax since 04...i know about the mix or my combo vey well on very low doses of each..the xanax 0.5 5aday..methadone 10 mgs aday..was at 1 time 160 mgs i detoxed at home 2 yrs ago..got away from it 45 days then back at the dose im at..now the questshion?? my shrink has added lamictail to my combo,,i asked him if it would had any further respatory depression..he just kinda nodded his head..wating oin his nest 8 min patient..

i dont think im bp and the seroquel they put me on made me in a weird dream like state and a zombie. since the 3 months i have been on zoloft i have been great, few anxiety episodes and im driving again!! i was wondering if anyone has had that kind of reaction or experience.

The knowledge that I have is that xanax and Seroquel do not have an impact on your liver. Also 50 mgs of Seroqeul is very low dose. I am on 600. However it looks like you have hepatitis c and you probably know you shouldn't drink because of that. There are likely a lot of medications that effect your liver. The only ones I know of are Tylenol and pain medicines that contain acetaminophen, but I am sure there are likely a lot more.

I started taking 50mg of Seroquel in December for sleep. Shortly after I began to feel as if I couldn't breathe. I went to the ER and they checked me out and told me it was anxiety. So I saw My nurse practitioner and she prescribed Vistaril 50 mg 3x a day. I room it for a week. Still had the same symptoms. I figured out It was The seroquel. I tried to call the nurse but they are never available so I did not do my homework on this med and quit it cold Turkey.

before this insodent with taking the seroquel i would normally only take the xanax at night and somtimes in the am if i felt i needed it. Dr. is aware but percribes it for 3 x day because sometimes i would get panic attic in the day. But for a while i didnt take the xanax for about 2 years. I know its not withdrawal from the xanax because i already have stopped taking it before after taking it 3 xday for 2 years and never felt like this just alittle tried.

Thanks for replying. I thought he was giving me the seroquel to help stablize my moods and help with sleep. A replacement for the xanax and ambien. Didn't think the seroquel would react in such a violent way. Took last 2 xanax Moday-a little jittery and sluggish but ok...just scared after reading so much about DONT go cold turkey. Obviously im on too much medication, but theres a long story behind that. anyways, I have been on 30mg adderalXR 3 times a day and 50 mg seroquel at night and 2mg xanax(as needed) for the past 9 months. I have never ever been the type of person whos weight fluctuates. About 3 months ago I started taking 20mg lexapro at night with the 50mg seroquel. Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. My GI doctor has me on Nexium 40mg. and my PCP wants me to take Zantac 75mg. at night before I go to bed. Is it safe, and can I take it with Xanax 1mg. I have GERDS and Barrett's Esophagus. And they both think it mjght be causing these little pinpoint pimples in my mouth, tongue, and throat.

Seroquel is an extremely strong anti psychotic and anti depressant drug as you probably know. I used it years ago for Borderline Personality Disorder and Depression. It is way, way stronger than Xanax which is also very strong, so I would not be taking anything if you are on Serequel. It's a sedative and tranquilizer. Clonidine is not addictive and fantastic for withdrawing but you have to check with your doctor if you can take together.

I had anxiety before going to bed so I took ativan. I also took my seroquel and trazodone. Will I be ok?

I was put on Zoloft at first and then switched a few years ago to 40mg of Paxil along with 25mg of Xanax daily. I still feel anxiety and depression, however, and am afraid these drugs no longer work or that I have become immune to their effects. Should I be expecting the dosages of these medications to change over time? Is it normal to prescribe these drugs together? I am also on toprol for my blood pressure. I started taking Xanax four months ago for sleep, I developed health anxiety and couldn't sleep. I started out at .5mg then soon was at 1mg before bed. I currently have myself tapered down to .125 mg in the morning and .25mg at night. My problem is I am no longer sleeping. I take clonindine and aetnlol they were helpful with sleep during the beginning of my taper, now not so much. I have seroquel 50mg, my question is has anyone tried this? Did it work?

Have you seen a psychologist first? Paxil can be a tough drug for side effects and for withdrawal, and seroquel doesn't seem like an appropriate drug of first resort for you. Since your symptoms don't seem to be super severe, why not try therapy for awhile? Use meds as a last resort, not a first. They all have their own problems, so if you can get some help through therapy, maybe meditation as well, all the better.

I was just diagnosed with an autoammune disease and don't want to take plaquenil just yet. Doctor said to take celebrex and a muscle relaxer. I have been taking 1 mg of xanax for 3 weeks and before that it was about twice a week as needed. I was having such anxiety and sleep issues rhemy said to take it every day. Now 3 weeks later she wants to try the new coctail of celebrex and muscle relaxer.

I admitted him to the hospital because he was abusing cold medicine. they put him in the psych ward and gave him that med along with others. But the seroquel he was given a script for when leaving the hospital and he kept having signs of drug induced schizophrenia.

I was put on Seroquel XR and could not tolerate it... I couldn't get up in the morning, driving was iffy and I was constantly tired throughout the day.. I'm back on a regular dose of 200mg/night (I take this drug specifically because it helps me sleep, otherwise I can't sleep). The suggestion of breaking out the dose throughout the day seems like it may be worth a try.....

The seroquel with probaly just make her super drowsy and she will need to sleep it off. I would skip the xanax. Just watch her for strange behavior and notify 911 if she gets any kind of chest pains. Wishing you the best of luck!

Now comes the turn of the risperidone (took 7 years non-stop) and seroquel (2 years and used to stop my mixed states). However if I were cyclothemic then it's only the AD which made me so, and the dose is minimal and by the way each time i consult another stupid ugly pdoc he would tell me you don't take meds rather these doses help you only to sleep. So tonight i won't take them and we will see. Do you know what will happen if i live till tomorrow ?

I'm not sure if I'm diagonosed correctly with bi-polar disorder. Between March and now I've tried several different medications. One of my main issues is sleeping and I was prescribed Seroquel. I took 200mg for several months and finally told the pdoc that I wasn't happy with it because of the weight gain and skin (terrible breakouts) issues. He switched me on October 14th to Geodon. I took 40mg a day for two days and then was bumped up to 80mg.

You can take Xanax too and Xanax being a sedative, hypnotic, anti-convulsive, anxiolytic medication will make you even more tired and dizzy since you are already on Seroquel which is very sedative in its anti-psychotic kind of med. You get the extended release which should cause less sedation but still when mixed with a benzodiazepine such as Xanax it will add up and make you feel like you mentioned above.

I have BP type 2, severe depression, anxiety and social phobia - according to THOSE who know best.I'm a a bulimic self harmer, ex-meth addict, former anorexic, current alcoholic. Gotta love the labels lol - and I'm a qualified social worker. Feel kind of silly now, don't know what I really want to say, but my GUILT is eating me up inside.
