Avatar n tn I was beginning to believe the doctors when they told me nothing was wrong...until now... Last weekend I woke up in the middle of the night with excruciating pain on my left side along with bloating and a lot of tenderness. I called the dr. on Tuesday and had an ultrasound done on Wednesday (this is the first time I've has the US done this close to pain and exactly midcycle). The results of the ultrasound showed a small fibroid (found previously...

Have u used heat b4 doing the exercises?....it helps loosen the muscles first.....relaxes them. 773646 tn?1239229259 Anyway, in my book, Lyrica is a wonder drug when it comes to eliminating pain and buzzing. I wish you the best in your journey to for pain relief. Anyone who says MS is not painful has never met MS.
Avatar m tn You need to get a second opinion to see what can be done for you and if nothing can be done but treat then pain then you do need sufficient pain control and it does not sound like your getting it. I would be outraged if my Doctor accused me of being an addict just for trying to control the pain as would any one of us CP sufferers. Please do not give up, there is hope and once you do get some pain control to level out your pain you will be feeling much better. You have an awesome business/job!
Avatar f tn * If you have advanced liver disease - you should not take any NSAID pain relieves. Such as Advil, Aleve or Aspirin. The recommend pain killer is Tylenol/acetaminophen only for people with advanced liver disease. No more than 2,000 mg a day. Loritab is is an analgesic (painkiller) combination containing acetaminophen and hydrocodone used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Hydrocodone is a narcotic and is habit forming.
1729448 tn?1342098337 I usually don't get cramps but today my period is starting and I'm having back pain. I've had the pain a couple days but I spaced it on my period i forgot it might be that causing it. Like I said, it's unusual for me. I have a heating pad on my back and I'm laying down and i took 2 prescription strength ibuprofen (my mom was taking them and then stopped when she had hip replacement surgery). Any other advice? It just snowed so I had to shovel today...

1307298 tn?1305950451 I see my MS neuro on Tuesday for my regular check up. Does anyone have suggestions for pain relief? I can barely concentrate on anything -- which is making my work suffer and I'm getting behind. My doc suggested a heating pad, and a nurse friend of mine suggested warm compresses. Does anyone have other tips? I'll do anything. Seriously.
Avatar f tn Yes, by law we are allowed access to our records just like we are entitled to adequate pain relief. The rub comes in when an agency, this case State Compensation Insurance Fund, decides they do not have to follow the law. About 6 years or so ago (my injury was in 1995), CA changed the laws for work injuries substantially--in the process they removed any financial penalties for the Comp people not responding or doing their jobs, i.e.
Avatar f tn I never needed it but for the first two days of my period. Advil is not a pain reliever or pain medicine, it is a muscle relaxer, basically. In other words, it blocks the prostaglandin that cause muscles to cramp, so they don't cramp. That's why it is so good for menstrual cramps. I don't recommend pain pills or opiates for period pain, but Advil can be just the thing.
Avatar f tn It depends on what pain remedies you are able to tolerate safely. I've heard some use heating pads for pain relief. If I knew about it back then I might have tried it, but since I haven't, I don't know how well it works. Don't strain for a bowel movement. Constipation was my worst symptom from having a cyst. I chewed Fiber Choice tablets (one the morning, one at bedtime) which are made from fruit fiber and taste like candy. It made bathroom visits much easier.
Avatar n tn My brother, age 85, is flatulent. He complains of pain because he can't release the gas. He says he is constipated and has a feeling that "he has to go". I wonder if his problem is more the feeling than gas or constipation. He has complained of this for a period of time and has visited the emergency room numerous times, early in the day. They don't do much for him; perhaps because they can't; perhaps because of an element of hypochondria.
Avatar n tn you will find that you can pull farther each night and it reliefs some of the rls pain. good luck, let me know how the requip works for you.
Avatar f tn As a current migraine suffer I sympathize. I am curious do also have pelvic pain (cramps) with your period? If so THAT IS NOT NORMAL. I recommend that you find an endo specialist to see if you have something like endometriosis or poly cystic ovarian syndrome. I know that my endometriosis is one of the reasons I have migraines.

Avatar n tn Fentanyl patches are designed to release medication over a period of time and hopefully provide better pain relief than increased amounts of oral medication. Nausea is not an unusual side effect, but you need to determine whether this nausea you are experiencing is more than a usual adjustment to taking a significant medication.
Avatar n tn Oxycotin is supposed to be used in cases where the patient needs to take it for long term use, it is not recommended for post-op pain relief, despite this many doctors still do perscribe it for pos-op pain relief. If your brother tells the doctor that the percocet is not lasting the full four hours maybe he will either switch him over or tell him to take the percocet every 3 hours instead, after my first surgery i was taking percocet 2 tabs every 3 hours for months.

Avatar f tn they was always normal and lasted 4-5 days around September last year I started having problems, it started by not having a period for around 3 months, it made me think i was pregnant but i tested my self 3 time and i wasn't so i told my sister about it and she took me to the doctors, all they did was do a urine sample to see if i was pregnant, and i wasn't so they just left it, few weeks after that i started to bleed it was a relief but then i started to get worried due to the fact it lasted a
6669309 tn?1462651742 Go see the Doctor tomorrow at ten, thank God. My legs are the thing that has been bothering me the most! And my back when I am laying down. I will be so glad, maybe then I will feel like getting out and doing my Christmas shopping. I have to feel pretty good to brave the mall, maybe I will stick with Ross. They always have nice gift sets that don't break the bank. I know I have a degenerating spine, my question is how fast does it do that. I know it is worst this year than it was last year.
