233622 tn?1279338505 I am working my way back off of Neurontin but the joint pain is still there. I think I have joint pain and nerve pain. Or maybe the pain is stiffness. I just don't know where it is coming from but I know it is PAIN!

Avatar m tn Hello, I had joint pain in knees, ankles, elbows, and wrists, and felt a bit fatigued, they all hurt at the same time. Could this be related to ARS? no other symptoms, it only lasted one day.
Avatar m tn It has been 4 months since finishing tx and I have been experiencing a lot of joint pain. I went back to the gym (very slowly) thinking it would help but so far no. My dr said this is a side of tx that I might have forever. Its mostly in my fingers, wrists, shoulders and knees. I am pretty pathetic getting out of bed in the morning. After a while it gets a little better. Is anyone else feeling this? Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn Hello, I would like to gain insight to causes, treatments and remedies of joint pain and swelling (currently wrists, elbows and shoulder). I understand it may appear similar to what arthritis suffers experience, however, long term degeneration of joints and collagen from diabetes may be responsible for the pain and swelling. Can the pain and swelling be reversed / averted? Can flexibility and mobility lost from swelling be regained? Can swelling be eliminated? - How?

Avatar n tn First I noticed a shooting pain in my rectal canal- that lasted about three days. Then I started having pain in my hip, knee, elbow and the joints in my fingers. Could this be caused by ovulation?
Avatar n tn I have developed horrible muscle and bone pain, to the point that I can't go up.down stairs. I have to take narcotic level pain meds to control the pain, and I am concerned about addiction. My doctors don't feel that it is coming from the meds, but I am weaning the Effexor to see if that makes any difference. I am still feeling like my body wants to have a period (PMS/menstrual cramps) so I am concerned that stopping the Tamoxifen would not be a good idea.

Avatar m tn Hi, I have chronic Sacroiliac joint pain. I was mis-diagnosed for years, and finally after 5 years, I found a doctor who correctly figured out where my pain lived. I have had injections, nerve burns, pain meds , PT...everything. Nothing works. My next step is to have the ifuse SI joint fusion surgery. I am scheduled to have this on Oct 1st, 2012. I am wondering if anyone had any feedback on the pros and cons of having this surgery.
659496 tn?1288889452 She said joint pain is normal and due to swelling. Also said there's not much to be done about it. But I've read watching your sodium intake helps. She also said it will be worse with warmer weather, so soon as the temperatures drop, swelling will go down. Just be sure to take your rings off before they get stuck on ;). Magda: I did read where excessive swelling is an issue and should be brought to dr's attention. Oh and the soles of my feet hurt everyday! And have been for weeks now.
Avatar m tn About two weeks after my low risk exposure from the stripper and about 6 weeks after another low risk exposure (kiss on the razor burned cheek from a stripper who kissed about 6 other men right before me) I began to have moderate to severe joint pain especially in my hands and feet but mostly in my feet. It was the most severe when I tried to hold things-even light things-for an extended period of time.
659126 tn?1224717194 Hyperthyroidism is another important cause of joint pain and stiffness.Did you get your thyroid evaluation recently? Joint pain and stiffness may also be found in arthritis. There are many types of arthritis, including rheumatoid and other types of inflammatory arthritis, osteoarthritis, infectious arthritis, and arthritis due to gout or pseudogout. But as you are having joint pains esp in wrist, elbow and knee joints so it is giving rheumatoid arthritis an edge.
Avatar f tn I would suggest you ask your doctor for a complete blood workup including CBC, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, and an ANA and whatever other tests they run for AutoImmune/Inflammatory diseases. Google "Symptoms of Vitamin B12 deficiency" and Symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency." Both cause severe joint pain.
Avatar m tn In addition I have pain in the epiditimis (right side only) and joint pain (right side only) mostly in the hip and knee but also the hand back and ankle and this has been getting worse progressively. Most recent tests have also shown slightly raised ESR levels, CRP and white blood cell count normal.
Avatar f tn I've had random, debilitating joint pain for about 6 months. I'm fine during the day (usually) but come evening it settles in. It may be a thumb, a knee, the inside of an ankle, etc... Some nights I can barely walk thru my house! Come morning I'm usually fine, too. I've been tested for arthritis, came back negative. I have spinal stenosis and high cholesterol (I'm only 31!) Any suggestions so I can point my DR in a direction when I can finally afford to go again would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Help! I have been having traveling joint pain for about two months now. I think this all started when I got a really bad strep throat infection. About two weeks after the infection pasted I started getting bad burning pains in my wrists when I move them (especially flexing them up or down) It was so bad I couldn't get dressed by myself in the morning) I started wrapping my wrist and that seemed to help.
Avatar m tn My last session of chemo was 12/1/10. Radiation ended 1/7/11. Up until that time I did not have any joint pain. About 45 days after the last chemo I started to have joint pain in all my joints. I have been reading on this web site how this seems to be very common. However, all the questions when answered state that this outcome is not due to the Chemo or any other treatments for the Cancer. I am now on Tomoxiphin, but this started to occur prior to the start of the drug.
535089 tn?1400677119 Hello, My name is Mollyrae and I was infected with Hep C sometime back in the early 80's. I have undergone treatment 2'c and am considered a non-responder. The last treatment landed me in the Hospital for a week with MRSA being that my immune system was so low. I was sick all the time, not to mention the sides from the tx. My question is, has anyone experienced severe muscle & joint pain as the viral load increased? It has been a yr.
Avatar n tn I have been off the drug for a few months and have noticed an increase in my joint pain. I'm 32 and noticed a little joint pain before my treatment, but it has increased exponentially since stopping treatment. Curiously, while on treatment I had little to no pain, and I noticed no similar symptoms during the break between treatments. I thought I had read in some of the drug’s literature that it had some type of anti-inflammatory characteristics.
Avatar n tn Joint pain is a symptom of Hashi's. Synthroid treatment may alleviate the joint pain after a period of time. Although it is associated with thyroid disease, it could also mean other things, too, such as arthritis. I would have her get a bone density test or bone scan to make sure it is not something else.
Avatar f tn Alot of us have had muscle and joint pain from the HCV or the Tx for HCV. Some of us also develop peripheral neuropathy which is nerve damage mostly in the extremeties (legs and feet, arms and hands). A few (5%) of people with chronic Hep C develop a problem called Cryoglobulinemia which is a significant cause of joint pain and neuropathy in heppers. The cryo can be detected through a test called the Cryocrit. Most people with cryo get better once the hcv clears in tx, but not all.
571256 tn?1217109874 For over a year now I have been suffering from periodic episodes of joint pain (mostly in my hands, feet and knees), chills (I get freezing cold), and extreme fatigue (people have alot of difficulty awakening me and even then I can't stay awake for long). As the episode progresses I also have nausea and eventually night sweats. It's been getting worse. This past episode lasted almost 2 weeks, the pain in my hands was so severe I couldn't button my daughter's pants or open a pepsi cap.
