ovarian-cysts

Avatar n tn t feel it is related in any way to my prior cysts. Most of the time, those who have cysts do NOT get ovarian cancer. That is just my experience. Good luck with your MRI. This test will definitely give you more information about your cyst.
Avatar f tn Recently I had an ultrasound in which the tech found ovarian cysts. My question is could these cysts be the cause of my problems? Is it possible for cysts to move into the Intra-Abdominal area? Thank you for any answers.
Avatar f tn thank you.regards....
Avatar f tn Its got frustrating here and there especially when my diagnosis went from ovarian cysts to possible hydrosalpinx now complex sc/pelvic mass. Doctors can get you so confused when all you want to here is what the botton line is and what to do next to get back on board to feeling like your old self again. My doctor was a bit on the fence with me at the beginning but I now understand his approach better than I did last Sept.
Avatar f tn 98% of ovarian cysts are non cancerous. It is rare to have cancerous cysts on both ovaries. If you do not have the BRCA mutation you have a 1.4% of ovarian cancer in a lifetime. You doctor is who you need to talk to. Write down questions to ask.
Avatar n tn t know what the large blood vessels means. When do you hear from your doctor on the results? Your symptoms are very indicative of ovarian cysts. There is some good information on the health pages (top right). Please keep us posted.
497511 tn?1213318623 //www.medhelp.org/posts/show/510968. Im not really sure what stranding looks like on a CT but I thought I had seen something that looked like that. If you could help I'd appreciate it.
Avatar n tn If you scoll down to the right side of this page you will see Related Communities (underneath Community Members) and the Ovarian Cyst link is there. Those women are very experienced with ovarian cysts and I am sure they will be able to answer your questions.
Avatar m tn Hi Nancy, Did an OB/GYN give you these results (not the ultra sound tech or nurse)? They should have given you some sort instructions in terms of follow-up. I would be worried too if they just gave me information and didn't explain it to me. Assuming you are dealing with an OB/GYN could you call them and ask the questions you have? I know it's scary sometimes, but you deserve to have all of your questions answered. In the mean time: Mayoclinic.
483733 tn?1326798446 We know you must be worried at the thought of having an Ovarian Cyst. Ovarian cysts can be pretty scary along with the pain and other symptoms that can often accompany them. This forum is answered by women who also have had cysts. We are not Doctors, so the advice given is based only on what we have experienced. Now that you have been welcomed, and if you're ready to post your question, please start a new thread to ensure your question won't be missed!
Avatar n tn Does birth control help with the pain from ovarian cysts? Does using birth control help ressolve the existing cysts? How long does it take for birth control to show progress in pain and resolution of ovarian cysts? I started using the nuva ring almost two weeks ago. I thought the pain was gone (as it had disappeared for over a week) then all of a sudden this weekend the pain returned with the same intensity. Does this mean the cysts are growing? I am growing extremely frustrated with the pain.
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts can be benign or malignant but the majority (over 90%) are benign. A lot depends on your age and what type of cyst it is - functional, dermoid, etc. Your doctor hopefully will let you know if there is anything to be concerned about. You can google "ovarian cysts" to get more information so you know what questions to ask at your appointment. Please let us know how it goes.
483733 tn?1326798446 m seeing a lot of new forum members posting the same questions on both the Ovarian Cancer and Ovarian Cysts forums. There is no need to do this. Just post on the Ovarian Cyst forum as you are going through your testing and diagnosis, etc. and then on the Ovarian Cancer forum only if, God forbid, you not one of the 95% benign club. Many of the members on this forum and many on the Ovarian Canacer forum visit both and will ensure your questions will be addressed.
Avatar f tn Hi , this is the ovarian cancer forum for women diagnosed or fighting ovarian cancer, Im afraid none of us on here can answer what type of treatment she will have as we are not medical professionals . If you have any questions relating to ovarian cysts there is a very good forum where you will find a lot of information and some very nice ladies with experience of cysts who will try to help you .
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts can be very painful - however with everything else going on have they suggested any treatment for you? I would recommend making an appt with your doctor or even a second opinion to see what all is going on. In the meantime, one thing you can do is start keeping a journal of al of your symptoms. Be as specific as possible about what cycle day you are on, pain level, what the pain feels like, how long it lasts and what you do/take for it, and where the pain is.

Avatar f tn I have posted here before in greater detail of my problem, but to make a long story somewhat short... This past year, I had three ovarian cysts rupture (2 were diagnosed -through u/s for the second rupture, and through ct scan for the third rupture). I also had the exact episode happen in February, but did not know what it was as I did not seek medical attention. I had been having these episodes happen numerous times over the years, but never knew what it was until now.
409451 tn?1206896632 Can someone explain exactly what bilateral ovarian cysts are and what kind of cyst they would most likely be, if any in particular?
Avatar m tn My concern is that she recently had a very sharp pain in her lower abdomen which lasted over an hour, and when she was examined by her OBGYN a couple of days later, she requested Tracie to have an ultrasound because she felt some cysts. The ultrasound showed 2 regular fluid filled cysts and 1 solid(complex as she called it) cyst that had ruptured that was full of blood.
456874 tn?1218139741 Interesting. I have ovarian cysts and thyroid issues, now with two nodular thyroid cysts. My thyroid went from 39.9 not a year and-a-half later, to 7.5, which is still not normal - better though on Armour thyroid (pig), instead of the previous Synthroid. I hope you get answers to your questions and I will look for them.
