I can't entirely get on board with the brown rice thing yet. I'm okay with brown rice when mixed with other stuff that has a lot of sauce (like curry), but for anything else, I prefer white. I also put butter and salt in my rice when I cook it at home. My mother would kill me.

(She might even have gained weight 'despite' the rice than 'because of' the rice, or simply because you were so focused on being sure she was eating a lot.) In any case, since you are saying she doesn't need it any longer, do take her off it and see if things clear up. All the best!

Processed rice from a box. No thanks. Fiber is perfect for us who have pcos, eating more fiber...atleast 20-30 grams a day will help you stay fuller longer...therefore not eating as much. Lots of fresh (or canned or frozen) veggies as well as fresh fruit (or frozen or canned). Keep plenty of water with you at all times.
