Avatar n tn Largely, eat them in their natural form, not loaded with sugars and butters and the life cooked out of them. Some veggies give better nutrition value when cooked but others are better eaten raw. This means, eat a lot of salads, eat fruit instead of candy for snacks, and like that. On top of that, eat some protein source, like eggs, milk, cheese, and lean meat. Dr.
Avatar f tn Hi, With a small budget you need to go for in-season produce, which tends to be more cost effective than anything that's travelled far. Make sure you are getting the best possible nutrition for your money. Don't buy sugary processed foods / or anything that's heavily processed. Keep you eyes peeled for specials. Often some shops will have markdown on certain foods on some days of the week.
Avatar f tn I use to have a poodle that did this on a regular basis. That was until I started giving him a bedtime snack. I felt like he had to go too long from dinner to his morning meal, and ended up with a empty stomach also, vomiting yellow bile in the mornings. You might do a check on Purina Beneful. I just looked up the ingredients and didn't see anything of nutritional value listed. Well, maybe the peas and carrots?

Avatar f tn That's a starvation diet that has no nutritional value whatsoever. It makes no sense and I'd never condone it.
Avatar f tn Many doctors are now advising against infant cereals entirely as they do not offer much actual nutrition, just bulk carbs - fruits and veggies are a better choice for babies new to solids. My son started solids at about 6.5 months - we did use some cereals but quickly switched to foods like avocado, peas, carrots, and parsnips - they're easy to steam and puree while keeping nutrients in to help baby grow.
Avatar f tn d like to start doing more work outs to make me fitter but never find the energy for them. Can anyone help with how to balance my nutrition? I have looked online but everything is about supplements or suggests I eat all the things I already eat. Thanks for any help you can give!
Avatar m tn I am planning to go and visit nutrition doctor tomorrow. I want to make sure that I have good vitamins, minerals in my body to make sure that I am boosting immunity power. I don't know what all the tests they recommend, I will post you guys tomorrow. As I had Vit d3 level very low, I don't wonder if other vitamins/mineral levela are low. I will take supplements depending on the result. What you guys say? Is it better step or it's of no use for HBV?
Avatar f tn there is tremendous nutritional value to breast milk at any age. i think it's just that after 12 months, they do get nutrition from foods as well, so it doesn't have to be the primary source of nutrition anymore. if she is getting breast milk there really is no need for whole milk. plus, the immune benefits of breast milk are still there. as for the sleeping thing...
1544053 tn?1328691992 My dog likes apples. I give her about a 1/4 apple, cut into tiny pieces as treats. At apple time, she often picks her own from the low branches of the trees in the orchard! So I make sure she doesn't get any apple seeds too because they are toxic. Grapes are definitely toxic for dogs. NO grapes! Raisins are the same, ditto sultanas, currants, etc. I've heard of dogs who like bananas, but mine doesn't. Corn....
Avatar m tn It has no nutrition value and they taste like mud.
2000931 tn?1401563007 Seriously just go back to a simpler time, in grandmas time food was actually nutritional, now a days cardboard has more nutritional value than half the stuff on the supermarket shelves. Hands up who thinks cheese is orange and stretchy enough to make a hammock out of, lol its simply not cheese if you can flapp it about for half an hour, cheese crumbles, breaks and does not have the colour of a mandarine lol who came up with cheese in a can??
649848 tn?1534633700 Med Help has just launched a new Nutrition Application, which will help make it easier to find the nutritional value/calories of the foods you are eating - this should make it easier to keep up with the food tracker; it looks like you can link right to your food diary and exercise/weight trackers. There's an area where you can "ask an expert", as well as a lot of other valuable information.
642393 tn?1227032656 Good choices would be mashed bananas, applesauce, rice cereal (then move on to the other cereals), pears, carrots, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes. I can't think of any more off the top of my head. Just go down the baby food aisle. You'll get lots of ideas there. If you want to make homemade, it's pretty easy. Just make sure you blend everything up real smooth. I think she's a little young yet to try meat.
