Avatar f tn Hi, With a small budget you need to go for in-season produce, which tends to be more cost effective than anything that's travelled far. Make sure you are getting the best possible nutrition for your money. Don't buy sugary processed foods / or anything that's heavily processed. Keep you eyes peeled for specials. Often some shops will have markdown on certain foods on some days of the week.
Avatar f tn I use to have a poodle that did this on a regular basis. That was until I started giving him a bedtime snack. I felt like he had to go too long from dinner to his morning meal, and ended up with a empty stomach also, vomiting yellow bile in the mornings. You might do a check on Purina Beneful. I just looked up the ingredients and didn't see anything of nutritional value listed. Well, maybe the peas and carrots?

Avatar f tn That's a starvation diet that has no nutritional value whatsoever. It makes no sense and I'd never condone it.
Avatar f tn d like to start doing more work outs to make me fitter but never find the energy for them. Can anyone help with how to balance my nutrition? I have looked online but everything is about supplements or suggests I eat all the things I already eat. Thanks for any help you can give!
Avatar m tn I am planning to go and visit nutrition doctor tomorrow. I want to make sure that I have good vitamins, minerals in my body to make sure that I am boosting immunity power. I don't know what all the tests they recommend, I will post you guys tomorrow. As I had Vit d3 level very low, I don't wonder if other vitamins/mineral levela are low. I will take supplements depending on the result. What you guys say? Is it better step or it's of no use for HBV?
1544053 tn?1328691992 My dog likes apples. I give her about a 1/4 apple, cut into tiny pieces as treats. At apple time, she often picks her own from the low branches of the trees in the orchard! So I make sure she doesn't get any apple seeds too because they are toxic. Grapes are definitely toxic for dogs. NO grapes! Raisins are the same, ditto sultanas, currants, etc. I've heard of dogs who like bananas, but mine doesn't. Corn....

2000931 tn?1401563007 Seriously just go back to a simpler time, in grandmas time food was actually nutritional, now a days cardboard has more nutritional value than half the stuff on the supermarket shelves. Hands up who thinks cheese is orange and stretchy enough to make a hammock out of, lol its simply not cheese if you can flapp it about for half an hour, cheese crumbles, breaks and does not have the colour of a mandarine lol who came up with cheese in a can??
649848 tn?1534633700 Med Help has just launched a new Nutrition Application, which will help make it easier to find the nutritional value/calories of the foods you are eating - this should make it easier to keep up with the food tracker; it looks like you can link right to your food diary and exercise/weight trackers. There's an area where you can "ask an expert", as well as a lot of other valuable information.
Avatar n tn d be getting his nutrition. Another thing you could do to ease your mind about nutrition is to give him a multivitamin. I give both my 13 mo old and 25 month old half of a flinstone vitamin every morning. My 2 yr old can chew it on her own, but I crush up the one for my 13 mo old and put it in his food. Of course, that would be difficult for you if your son isn't eating at all. Sorry for the long post. I can just sympathize with you.
Avatar f tn Try to stay away from junk food with low nutritional value BC you need the nutrition.
Avatar f tn I hate to stop giving it because I feel that he isnt getting complete nutrition from his diet. Of course, I am trying to add variety to his diet but you guys know how hard that can be when it comes to a 2 year old. Does anyone know what I can do about this?
Avatar f tn This is easy -- anything that doesn't include gluten. Gluten is found in certain grains (and hidden in many processed foods), so any meal without those grains and you have lunch. This means all meat, all beans, all vegetables, all dairy, eggs, everything you've always eaten minus the gluten containing grain. If you want pasta, use brown rice pasta, for example. If you want bread, any grain not containing gluten.
