Common Questions and Answers about Menstrual periods video

Avatar n tn Over the past year I had noticed the same, extremely foul smelling (even fecal smelling) odor present in my menstrual blood. Between my periods of menstruation, there is absolutely ZERO odor. This is how I KNEW it was something more internal and not simply a forgotten tampon or infection. Any such cause would have an odor that is continuously present. After months of searching for an answer, I found it…at my DENTIST'S office.
Avatar m tn I haven't been eating as much, I've been a little nauseous, I almost passed out in a class because of an open heart surgery video (I never usually get sick from that). Then starting about a week ago, I've noticed an excess amount of stringy clear discharge, sharp pains in my right and left side. On my back and where my ovaries are. And starting yesterday, I've noticed an excess amount of bleeding in my underwear. It looks, smells, and feels (gross, I know.

Avatar f tn Three days AFTER my woman's exam, I started my period. **Back Tracking-- I started my menstrual cycle at 13 and had irregular periods. Sometimes I'd have them lasting 1 day, sometimes 3 days, sometimes 3 weeks. And sometimes I would have two periods a month. (Example: Have one that last two days, and 1 week later I'd start again.) So it's never been a 'normal' lifestyle for me.** **Fast forward 4 years after the exam. and LOTS and LOTS of cramps and mood swings later.
Avatar m tn My breasts have been sore for weeks, and I am not talking slightly sore like before a menstrual cycle but extremely sore. I have to continuously wear a sports bra and when I am in the shower I have to prop them up and the water hitting them is painful. There is in NO WAY that I am pregnant, seeing that I don't have sex with men. I am 23. I don't have a regular menstrual cycle because I have a slightly higher testosterone level than what is considered normal.
Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with Complex Partial seizures after a stroke like event, abnormal EEG, and history of strange numbness and periods of extreme confusion. AED's have improved the numbness somewhat, but I have had terrible side affects, worse then the numbness. I have never had a gran-mal seizure that I know of however, I have passed out and fallen many times at concerts, carnivals and clubs with lots of lights. When that happens, are those generalized seizures?

2153260 tn?1338912998 It feels like I am just having a normal menstrual cycle only the bleeding isn't heavy and my periods never lasted more than 3days. I have also had moments where the bleeding actually stops completely especially overnight then it just starts back up in the middle of the next day. What is going on with my body? I am so confused. I haven't passed any huge clots, but I have had a few little small pieces of what looks like may have been clots. They are just all separated.

Avatar n tn My symptoms or complaints included lots of fatigue, menstrual irregularities (long, heavy periods, cycle getting longer and longer, bad mood swings during menses). I was also losing a lot of hair (head, no particular pattern) and suffered from hirsutism (that appeared suddenly around the age of 23, I am now 28). I also had very sensitive nerves in my arms and legs, which hurt if you put a small amount of pressure on it.
371498 tn?1198948640 This period just seems weird to me because every single one of my other periods have always lasted like 3 to 7 days, with the one being 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 the only exception. I hope I am not either...for some reason, my ex and I are really physically attracted to each other, I really don't know why. He said we're not compatible, but he only gave it a month and I think if he gave it a chance, we would have worked out somewhat, maybe, but he listens to his friends too much =(...
Avatar f tn Hello, I am 21 years old and for as long as I can remember I have never had a regular (in terms of timing) menstrual cycle. This never appeared a reason for worry as I was told that periods are irregular within the first few years. However, Three years ago I began experiencing additional symptoms and complications. In 2007, I began experiencing slight discomfort in my lower right abdomen. Upon having an ultrasound done, I was found to have a cyst.
Avatar f tn I used to be able to go to movies, now the screen is too wide for my vision, and all the special effects would probably start one of my Vertigo type spells... but I'm glad you got to see it.. I might watch it when it's on video..

560501 tn?1383616340 This week we will hopefully hear back from the neuro about a couple of things--one was something on the brain MRI that concerned him. We also will try to figure out how we are going to video Nick sleeping for 5 nights in a row. I don't know what we can record on for that length of time. We will go in for a cortisol test, but I am dreading that b/c it is soooo hard on NIck to get up early and he has to have it done right at 8 am. I don't know why-I"m sure you all do.
Avatar f tn I had been previously diagnosed with PCOS to explain my menstrual symptoms, but I've never had raised androgens or cysts, so they took away the diagnosis last year. I was told it was obesity and everything would clear with weight loss - I've lost 100lbs to be 240lbs now and have only had increased symptoms with no resolution. A few weeks ago I found the blood test results and to me, some of the results seemed worrisome? I did some research and I found Cushing's as a possibility.
Avatar f tn I would love some experienced advice! I am 46 and have battled fibroid problems most of my life, with history of previous laparoscopy and hysteroscopy about 9 years ago to clean out some of the fibroids and endometriosis. Now that I am perimenopausal, my fibroids are out of control, growing fast & multiplying in number. I've had flooding periods for 22 days duration with huge clots, severe cramps, anemia, fatigue, etc.

Avatar n tn I have suffered with awful periods since I was 17. We never did anything about the painful heavy periods except birth control because I wanted to have children. Now I have three and had my tubes tied three years ago. They continued (the periods) to get worse. It was awful, I would bleed for 6 months straight, either spotting or crime sence bleeding, as I like to call it. The pain was so severe I would call in to work and suffer with narcotic pain meds and a heating pad.
Avatar n tn 12) seemed to be more vulnerable to feeling panicky when driving though the Prozac was SUPPOSED to ameliorate the panicky feelings, 13) stopped having any visible signs of menstrual periods - these are coming back very slowly off Prozac though my experience of PMS is not making a dramatic resurgence 14) I get so angry and sad when I discuss this I'm going to stop now.

Avatar n tn Normal periods, some months bad cramps--other months no cramps. I go back in the end of August for another paragard. When I left the dr.s office a couple of days ago, I left with alot of information on other forms of BC. I was seriously thinking about going the Essure route. I've decided against it because: you have to wait 3 months to make sure it "took", requires surgery for removal, only 3 years of data available.
Avatar f tn Antidepressants and School Shootings, Suicide, Addiction. Doc tried to push me on some type of drug (found out it was an anti depressant) for my burning feet (that is one of my many thyroid symptoms that only go away when i'm very hyperthyroid). I declined.
