Avatar n tn Hello, Multiple menstrual periods in a month are due to polymenorrhea. Polymenorrhea or bleeding from vagina more than once a month could be due to several causes such fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, uterine polyps, hormonal imbalance, thyroid problems and bleeding disorders. It could also be due to an IUD implant if you have one or due to oral contraceptive pills. It can also be a part of severe pelvic inflammatory disorder. STDs like Chlamydia and gonorrhea too can cause this.
Avatar f tn Are you saying your menstrual month (from day 1 of one period to day 1 of the next), is now 2 weeks longer than it used to be but otherwise still regular? Or are you saying that it's adding an additional two weeks each time, such as one month it was 4 weeks and the next it was 6 weeks and then the next it was 8 weeks?
1539436 tn?1292869871 As you get older your body will change. I use to be regular, and now I I'm anywhere from 27-33 days apart. As far as discomfort, some times you will have it, and sometimes you won't. Like this month, I had NO cramps. Last month I did. Birth control can regulate your periods. When I'm on it it usually comes like clock work. So YES it's normal.
Avatar n tn Will i be getting my periods every month even after one of my fallopian tube is removed?
Avatar f tn My periods when I was younger was every other month and I took birth control for over 10 years and it was regular during that time. I recently got married and got off of it to try to have a baby. I got one period and have not had one since (it has been 6 months now). I have lots of blood tests done and my testosterone is really high and I was diagnosised with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). I would get checked for that. Here are some of the symptoms. The symptoms of PCOS include: 1.
Avatar f tn Females often times have irregular periods. With 6 HPTs negative I would doubt that you are pregnant, but the only sure way to be positive is with an HCG test at the doctors office. To regulate periods better, many young women are put on birth control pills, which isn't a bad idea at your young age to thwart off pregnancy anyways, unless you're a smoker which could then lead to chances of clot formations.

Dr issued provera I think its called three times a month on the same days every month.. Menstrual cycles may not be associated with ovulation (anovulatory cycles) and may result in heavy bleeding. Symptoms related to elevated androgen levels include acne, excess hair growth on the body (hirsutism), and male-pattern hair loss.
Avatar n tn I know a lot of women have 2 periods in one month, but most of the cases I've heard about have been instances where the periods are at least a week apart. I just had my regular period and it ended two days ago. Then suddenly, i started heavy bleeding again today. Could this mean that I'm pregnant?
Avatar f tn I had sex in July , since then I have regular periods, but I missed my periods last month I.e may 2014 , my last period was on 29 April 2014 n today's 4 June 2014 n I am having headache n gas problems..
Avatar f tn As I mentioned in my previous message,fibroadenomas/cysts tend to enlarge before your menstrual cycle and subside when your periods is over.Fibroadenomas sometimes shrink or disappear on their own.Try to cut down your caffeine intake (chocolate, coffee, colas) because it could play a role in premenstrual breast swelling and discomfort. I am glad that you feel relieved ,but don't forget to always do your SBE (self breast exam) every month after your periods have ended to check for any changes..
Avatar f tn I started taking Dian-35. I took it for 3 months and went on a diet. On my fourth month my menstrual cycle was on time but I still gained weight. My TVS showed that my cysts persist and they remain the same size, no improvement at all, my doc said it's very likely that I won't be able to lose weight and that I should have a child ASAP. But neither I nor my husband plan on having a baby so soon, not before another year and a half or so.
