Lexapro cost without insurance

Common Questions and Answers about Lexapro cost without insurance

lexapro

Avatar n tn No I take Lexapro only, but my insurance won't pay, so without consulting me, my doctor switched the med to Celexa. Which I am not taking.
Avatar n tn explain your past history and the medication you were on. Obviously, you will also need to discuss cost being an issue without insurance. I can tell you from first hand experience that Lexapro is a very pricey medication...and there ARE other options out there that would be more cost effective for you. But, you need to be evaluated first. You said you "got" 30 pills of Lexapro....unless I'm reading it incorrectly....
Avatar f tn Help I have to pay cash for Lexapro it's getting too expensive $114 for 30 5 mg. it works well but can't afford any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I do not have insurance anymore and found out that my Lexapro(10mg) will cost me $109 a month, I can't afford that. I am in school and only collect unemployment. So, this past monday was my last day taking it. Last month I would take it every other day or sometimes every three days. I just feel kind of weird/strange. I have been on it for about a year and a half. I also feel a little light headed if I move my eyes to fast. I called my dr.
Avatar f tn Lexapro (Escitalopram) is an SSRI. Your insurance may want the Dr, to go with a cheaper SSRI or have a justification on why he is prescribing Lexapro. Typical cost control measure.
Avatar f tn The total out-of-pocket wihout insurance would be $2400 a year. With insurance it would be $1900 a year. So now the total cost of medical care with United catastrophic insurance is $6300 and uninsured out-of-pocket cost is $3600. The costs of outpatient procedures and other things are generally comparable to that and I'm not going to bother doing the math on them as I'm not familiar with the costs there.
Avatar f tn Hey guys....my birthday is on the 10th of this month and I will be 21. So next year I will be 22 and I'm still in college and of course I'm diabetic. My parents insurance over cover me until I'm 22. What's a good insurance for diabetics and how much will it cost because I can't go not being uninsured. I can barely keep up with what my insulin and strips cost now WITH insurance.
Avatar f tn The Lexapro is so darn expensive, even with insurance $70/month!! Paxil has a generic so it should be cheaper but is it just as good? Anybody tried both and can compare? Side effects of the Paxil similar to Lex?
Avatar f tn I am pregnant with my first child and I had the same question about how much it would cost. I have insurance but mines was able to give me an estimate of how much a vaginal birth and c - section would cost out of pocket. Vaginal birth was about $5,000-$6,000 and C - section was about $8,000-$9,000. I am assuming this varies depending on labor. Hope this helps some.
Avatar n tn umm in the usa without insurance, n im chronic.
Avatar n tn Like any health treatment, it can be quite costly without insurance. If you are in the states, I would recommend going to Planned Parenthood. They will charge you on a sliding scale fee or for free and make things very affordable.
Avatar f tn can someone walk me through the process of getting health insurance? I don't currently have any, and I'm already seeing how expensive this pregnancy will be without it. I had my first visit yesterday and it's cost $240 out of pocket. I'm 18 on August 28th, any advice?
Avatar f tn Heck yes there is a big difference! The generic imipramine is garbage. Luckily my insurance will pay for most of the cost for brand name tofranil. Otherwise it is around $600 for 30 pills. It is very much still available and the manufacture is Mallinckrodt. They have great cust service and if you can get assistance with the cost if you qualify.
Avatar f tn I am just wondering if that how much you really gotta pay with or without insurance just for a freaking check up. I mean they just ask MW how I'm doing check my blood pressure check my baby's heartbeat and that's it. Oh they check if I still have the bacterial vaginosis and if I still have any other infections by peeing and a swab. Seriously? Just for all that. I mean I ain't paying anything but its still my insurance. Or their a rip off?!?!
629668 tn?1222914854 My insurance only covers the office visits and the meds but does not cover the IVF cost. It cost us about 8000 for the procedure.
Avatar f tn In Canada without insurance it costed me $25, however I'm not sure how much is covered by the public health care or if it falls under prescriptions and private insurance. In pets the cost is $500-1500 depending on the length of testing so I would assume it should be somewhere around that.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. I am looking for suggestions as to how to make my case with the insurance carrier that this is not a one time event but a chronic condition that if not treated would result in a loss of vision.
748907 tn?1233163781 If you don't have health insurance you can look into one of the government trials going on. They pay for the tests and the meds. If you are denied by insurance you can call one of the two numbers above for Commitment to Care of Pegasys but then you'd have to still pay for all the tests.
Avatar m tn can anyone give me an idea of what interferon costs im just looking for a round about figure so i can start planning to try and afford it i know what my insurance will cover im looking for either the cost beofre or without insurance as well as with insurance or just what you paid for it and if you live in georgia and have coventry as your insurance provider i would really like to chat with you about the costs
1218873 tn?1300091216 There is no rhyme or reason to the US Medical system. Everyone gets charged differently for the same MRI at the same facilitiy. The same with Pharamceuticals. The Government sets the rates for Medicare reimbursement which is too low for service. The insurance companies one by one negotiate with the facilities and Drug plans every year or so, which is based loosely on Medicare.
1036535 tn?1278502599 Looking at the EOB from insurance they repeatedly charged me for something that cost $89.72. The only thing I got more several times was Pepsi, and I know an 8 oz. can doesn't cost that much ;) I can't believe the stupid insurance company paid this right away, but haven't paid other, more legitimate things without a fight!
Avatar f tn When I go to the pharmacy to pick it up, the give me celexa and tell me that with my insurance company, lexapro has to have a pre-authorization, and that they wouldn't authorize the med until i tried to celexa 1st! So they called my doc and she said it was ok to give me the celexa. I asked the pharmacy how much would it be if I paid for it without the help of my insurance and they said $112 for a 30 day supply!!
497950 tn?1255863927 I am bipolar I with mixed episodes. (Also with rapid cycling :) fun stuff...) Has anyone tried any medicines that didn't cause weight gain and didn't cost a fortune. I am on Abilify right now but I am very quickly going to have to change because my insurance isn't that great and it cost me $100. I am on Neurontin and Celexa right now which is great but I can still feel myself going up and down all the time.
Avatar f tn no matter how much the hospital bill comes to be id go to the er like asap! red blood isnt good!! i dnt think yu have to pay anything up front anyways...
Avatar n tn The difference between the full cost of a treatment (which the uninsured often are charged), and the amount the insurance company tells them they will pay is often quite a bit. If you have cash and offer to pay up front (for a discount) you may get charged less than what they can get out of the insurance company, because it's less hassle and instant money for them. Just a thought, even if you had to borrow the money. Will your Endo accept results from another facility?
Avatar f tn However, Vertex is offering patience assistance for those without insurance. I do not know how that works in the Bangladesh area.
