Even my eye hurt a little. The whole right side of my face basically. Consequently I also woke up with a several cold sores in the corner which hurt worse than any I've had. Yesterday it felt the same but around my cheek and jaw it started feeling warm to touch. This morning it feels more centered on just my temple and cheek and jaw. Painful to touch hot and maybe slightly swollen. And no I wasn't hit with anything.
On Monday felt a little pain and discomfort which gradually increased through Tuesday and still experience pain and discomfort on wednesday. When mouth is closed there is no pain. When moving jaw from side to side, no pain. I experience tthe pain and discomfort when opening my mouth. II also noticed my face get a little puffy on that side on Tuesday.
Do think my jaw is broken, dislocated, or just bruised?
I have recently been going through all the same sort of symptoms as you have listed, including the jaw pain. I think it is hormone related as I have heard of other people going through it too. I am currently getting tested and may be referred to an endocrinologist shortly to find out if my symptoms are due to early menopause. So if I find out anymore about it, I will let you know.
I had four cavities filled two weeks ago two molars on top and two molars on the bottom. Two days after they were filled I had several pain in my right jaw and gum. I went back and had the bite fixed. But by the weekend, I was in pain again. The dentist called in Tylenol with Codine. By Tuesday I went back to the dentist and they took an xray. They claimed my teeth look fine but since I was in pain in the one back molar they removed that filling and redrilled and filled it.
While wearing the temporary, I noticed pain, both in the tooth and jaw. Sometimes, the jaw pain was worse than the tooth pain.
Three weeks later, I got the permanent put on. While fitting it, my remaining tooth was very sensitive to the many attempts. He said "that's good, it means it's alive".
After the permanent was put on, I had bite issues for a week or so, he adjusted, feels better now.
I am left with severe pain...most sensitive under my left cheek bone.
I have noticed the pain go to as far as my jaw. I though it maybe something to do with my jaw because my jaw is set far back anyway (i have problems with my teeth) but I am getting no pain in my jaw.
I have no vision problems. I was tested 2 months ago because doctor noticed I had large optic disks but the eye doctor said I was fine and it was physiologic disk cupping, meaning i was born with it and its not harmful.
But two weeks ago I started experiencing severe pain in my left jaw, that is only abated by pain killers. Without any sort of pain killers, my whole left jaw feels like it's on fire. Last Monday I went to the dentist. They didn't take any new xrays, and only referred to the ones from October, and told me they didn't know what my problem was. The thought my filling might be a little high, so filed it down, then told me that I may be grinding my teeth.
That helped for a short time. There are days that I still wake up with pain radiating from my right jaw all the way up the side of my head. It can last for days. I take naprosen for pain. That usually helps a little but I would like to find a more permanent treatment. I was punched in the face in the jaw area several years ago, this has contributed to the pain.
But I also have pain in my jaw at random times that is true TMJ pain. I also have a sinus infection, which makes my jaw hurt too!
3. The tooth doesn't hurt spontaneously, but it's so close to my jaw, I'm paranoid that I'm mistaking a dying nerve for TMJ. Would a dying nerve react positively to heat or ice on the outside of the face? I use a heat pack or ice pack on my jaw and that takes the pain away.

i am 27 years old and have developed sinus over the years, with the change of seasons i sometimes experience discomfort in my face like the nose area and eye area when the wind blows my eyes get teary and i seem to cough, and about a few months ago i went to a doctor and he explained that there is swelling in my jaw appearently i have some sort of an overbite which is causing some skewness in my mouth, he gave my muscle relaxers to ease the pain, but the sinus pain aswell as the jaw
There is a definite involvment with my neck, in that i used to be able to crack my neck (very powerful crack) and the headache that was about to start would not! the pain is along my temples down my cheek bone, over my jaw and behind my eye. It used to be strictly on my left side then one day i had an attack on my right side. Now i can have attacks on moth my left or right. Sometimes the pain goes back and forth.
I had a temporary crown placed a week ago in upper R jaw, and was fine except for minor pain at crown site which I expected, but within two days I developed extreme pain with cold, and attempts to touch area with toothbrush brought excrutiating pain over entire R side of face extending into ear and lower jaw and causing headache. I was in a collision with another person in april 2010 i had a concussion and bruised jaw and have been going to the chiropractor ever since. my concern is that i still have jaw pain that extends from my temple through my ears and into my jaw. i get headaches occasionally and sometimes have pain when i open my mouth too far...what to do?
My main concern is jaw pain. After short periods of running I am experiencing pain, specifically around my joints. After doing some light background research I saw this this could be linked to heart disease. Before anyone responds a few points should be made.
-I was tested extensively for heart issues when I was 4 due to a benign heart murmur.
- I have scoliosis which causes one of my legs to be approx .25 inches shorter than the other. I require the use of a lift in one shoe.
ve also had a constant pain in my jaw. It hurts a lot and increases when I eat. It also hurts behind my ear on the right side as well. I have back and neck issues such as my neck is completely straight and angled forward, my lower back arches forward a great deal, and my tail bone is laid flat and up and angles not at all in the right place. I wear contacts and I had all of my wisdom teeth pulled within the last year. Is this tmj or something else? It's driving me nuts! Please help!
The pain that I am experiencing from them is hard to describe. My lower jaw, ear, lower left cheek, and teeth all hurt. My dentist filed down the temps so that my bite was better, but the pain is not getting any better. I have to take 800 mg of Ibuprofen every 4-6 hours. If I wait until I feel pain again to take the ibuprofen it takes almost 2 hours for the pain to go away. The pain wakes me up at night and I am geting worried.
