jaw pain during cold

Does anyone experience jaw pain? I am beginning to hurt all over. The pain starte in my arms and legs but now I ache all over. The pain comes and goes. It seems to get worse when I get cold. My NS said there was nothing else he could do surgically. He referred me back to the pain management doctor.

Have the symptoms change since you first noticed them? Are there more cold sore spots now? Is the pain on the outside of the face or inside the mouth?

For a couple of weeks I have had a horrible aching pain in what feels like my lower jaw bone. The pain is so severe that I will wake up in the middle of the night and can do nothing to ease the pain. My teeth have also been very sensitive, even to drink a cold drink or hot tea. I have recently had a couple of cavities filled but this did not start untill a couple of weeks after so Im not sure if they are connected or not.

Okay, has anyone else had jaw pain during pregnancy. I am having it on the right side and it hurts worse when I talk or when I eat. Just started today. However, jaw pain can also be a major symptom of a heart attack in women. What is your opinions. Anyone else?

Good Morning! Just wondering if any of you have ever experienced jaw pain with CM? It started near my ear and has progressed over the last few days. Now the pain is in upper and lower jaw to the mid line. VERY uncomfortable, and I'm not sure what is causing it.

Im having jaw pain, drs cant seem to figure out why?? I cant sleep its driving me nuts. Anyone else have this during pregnancy?

The procedure took about 45 mins and during the drilling phase, I started to get a build up of pain in my lower jaw, which I initailly attributed to the cold water that is used during the drilling process. 5 days after the filling was done, I was still getting a lot of pain from both the tooth and my lower jaw. The tooth that was filled is extremely sensitive to the cold air test and the dentist suspects that there may be an infection in the tooth and has put me on a course of amoxycilin.

I have recently been going through all the same sort of symptoms as you have listed, including the jaw pain. I think it is hormone related as I have heard of other people going through it too. I am currently getting tested and may be referred to an endocrinologist shortly to find out if my symptoms are due to early menopause. So if I find out anymore about it, I will let you know.

I had four cavities filled two weeks ago two molars on top and two molars on the bottom. Two days after they were filled I had several pain in my right jaw and gum. I went back and had the bite fixed. But by the weekend, I was in pain again. The dentist called in Tylenol with Codine. By Tuesday I went back to the dentist and they took an xray. They claimed my teeth look fine but since I was in pain in the one back molar they removed that filling and redrilled and filled it.

On Monday felt a little pain and discomfort which gradually increased through Tuesday and still experience pain and discomfort on wednesday. When mouth is closed there is no pain. When moving jaw from side to side, no pain. I experience tthe pain and discomfort when opening my mouth. II also noticed my face get a little puffy on that side on Tuesday. Do think my jaw is broken, dislocated, or just bruised?

It is very annoying and and forces me to take off from office. Can someone suggest the reason for the continous hiccup during cold. I do not get such hiccups on normal days, except when a eat any extreme spicy food. But hiccups due to spicy food last only for a minute or so and is goes away when i drink sufficient water. Please let me know whether i should be concerned about this and go for any specilized check up.

Took 2nd shot this past Wednesday. Have actually had jaw pain off and on but really thought it was a dental problem but am thinking more along the lines of Sx now because it is in both jaws. I emailed my doctor earlier today. Has anyone else had jaw pain. Both jaws have been effected and right now it is throbbing a bit. I emailed to ask my doctor if I should go and see a dentist anyway even though it may be due to the drugs.

I have noticed the pain go to as far as my jaw. I though it maybe something to do with my jaw because my jaw is set far back anyway (i have problems with my teeth) but I am getting no pain in my jaw. I have no vision problems. I was tested 2 months ago because doctor noticed I had large optic disks but the eye doctor said I was fine and it was physiologic disk cupping, meaning i was born with it and its not harmful.

Sometimes I can even chew on that side without it hurting. Cold makes it really bad. Even just the cold air from the air conditioner in the car can trigger it. When it hurts the whole left side of my face from the jaw to above my eye hurts. It's an awful pain. But then it passes and doesn't seem to come back. I've been taking 3 otc ibuprofen once a day (with onset of pain..usually in the evening). That helps. I don't know if I should see a dentist or my PCP.

But two weeks ago I started experiencing severe pain in my left jaw, that is only abated by pain killers. Without any sort of pain killers, my whole left jaw feels like it's on fire. Last Monday I went to the dentist. They didn't take any new xrays, and only referred to the ones from October, and told me they didn't know what my problem was. The thought my filling might be a little high, so filed it down, then told me that I may be grinding my teeth.

Lymph soreness is basically it feels something is there and get pressed by my jaw bone but when i touch nothing is there no pain .... its not there 24/7 only sometimes when i move my head n my jaw bone moves sometimes i get this soreness otherwise no soreness.... this lymph soreness is sometimes behind the ear, under the jaw bone and sometimes its in the neck beside adams apple. This pain goes to my left ear. No other symptoms, no fever, no cough, no flu/cold, no chest pain, nothing at all.

But I also have pain in my jaw at random times that is true TMJ pain. I also have a sinus infection, which makes my jaw hurt too! 3. The tooth doesn't hurt spontaneously, but it's so close to my jaw, I'm paranoid that I'm mistaking a dying nerve for TMJ. Would a dying nerve react positively to heat or ice on the outside of the face? I use a heat pack or ice pack on my jaw and that takes the pain away.

I have been doing it for about 3 weeks, and all this did not help. I still get frequent pain, not only with cold, but sometimes out of the clear blue sky when I am sitting at my desk. I had absolutely zero pain during the 2 weeks that I wore the temporary. This is really frustrating and stresses me out. I like my Dentist and feel that he is competent but I think maybe I should just get a root canal and be done with it all. But wow! the extra expense!

I still have cold knees while bending them or sitting down and when i feel my knees with my palms they are very cold compared to the rest of the body.

If I went out into cold air, the pain would move right across the lower jaw and it felt as though all my teeth had infections.

You say you have good teeth, then does your jaw click when you bite or chew? You may have TMJ, which can cause nasty jaw pain. I have it. Muscle relaxers are usually the best treatment and massage of the jaw muscles outside of the jaw under your ears. Also, place your tongue at the bottom of your mouth flat. Try to pin the tip of your tongue to your bottom teeth. Then try to open your mouth straight without your jaw popping out of place.

That helped for a short time. There are days that I still wake up with pain radiating from my right jaw all the way up the side of my head. It can last for days. I take naprosen for pain. That usually helps a little but I would like to find a more permanent treatment. I was punched in the face in the jaw area several years ago, this has contributed to the pain.

Hello. One week ago, I had two small cavities filled in my lower jaw on the right-hand side. I felt no pain during the procedure, and that night I felt only the pain that's typical after this kind of procedure. I had the procedure done Tuesday afternoon, and then Thursday afternoon I began to feel a pain that spread out over the area where the anesthesia was. good day i am 27 years old and have developed sinus over the years, with the change of seasons i sometimes experience discomfort in my face like the nose area and eye area when the wind blows my eyes get teary and i seem to cough, and about a few months ago i went to a doctor and he explained that there is swelling in my jaw appearently i have some sort of an overbite which is causing some skewness in my mouth, he gave my muscle relaxers to ease the pain, but the sinus pain aswell as the jaw
