jaw pain during my common cold

It started near my ear and has progressed over the last few days. Now the pain is in upper and lower jaw to the mid line. VERY uncomfortable, and I'm not sure what is causing it.

For a couple of weeks I have had a horrible aching pain in what feels like my lower jaw bone. The pain is so severe that I will wake up in the middle of the night and can do nothing to ease the pain. My teeth have also been very sensitive, even to drink a cold drink or hot tea. I have recently had a couple of cavities filled but this did not start untill a couple of weeks after so Im not sure if they are connected or not.

I still get frequent pain, not only with cold, but sometimes out of the clear blue sky when I am sitting at my desk. I had absolutely zero pain during the 2 weeks that I wore the temporary. This is really frustrating and stresses me out. I like my Dentist and feel that he is competent but I think maybe I should just get a root canal and be done with it all. But wow! the extra expense! The permanent crown would have to be be cut off, right? Then the root canal charge, then the new crown charge!

I've had jaw pain for months and have seen my PCP many times, 3 dentists, an ENT and a neurologist. The neurologist ordered an MRI shows shows my TM joint is bilaterally subluxed/dislocated, which happens when my jaw is closed, and reduces when it's open. The neurologist said this is the opposite of what it should be, but at any rate, I need to see an oral surgeon. I can't get an appointment for weeks. The pain is god-awful and gettting worse daily.

not at all hunny, i just got over my cold and my baby is just fine, coughing kinda acts the same way throwing up does with your ribs and muscles, and A LOT of pregnant women throw up and nothing happens lol. Now thats not to say it cant happen, i mean i suppose if there is something else wrong with the pregnancy, or if the cold progressed to something more serious, but a simple cold, chances are a giant fat no on the miscarriage.

My main concern is jaw pain. After short periods of running I am experiencing pain, specifically around my joints. After doing some light background research I saw this this could be linked to heart disease. Before anyone responds a few points should be made. -I was tested extensively for heart issues when I was 4 due to a benign heart murmur. - I have scoliosis which causes one of my legs to be approx .25 inches shorter than the other. I require the use of a lift in one shoe.

Does anyone suffer from lower jaw pain? I have intermittent pain on both sides of my lower jaw but chewing doesn't make the pain worse.

Mouth guards worn during sleep can eliminate the pain. Being aware of the habit and correcting it during the day soon becomes a habit itself.

I dont know if this has anything to do with it or not but i have been having problems on my left side of my ribcage. in my back side and front i would get pains ,sometimes they felt as though i had stitches inside and others like a dull ache or sharp stabbing pain. i also noticed i do have a lump of some sort on my ribcage at the bottom i told my doc about it and he said its possabley cartilage build up. and wasnt really concerned about it .

A few months ago my upper last molar broke. I can barely open my mouth. The pain is in the gum around the tooth all the way into my jaw. I have been taking clindamycin four days now. I cannot feel an absess. Could this just be a tooth infection?

Does anyone experience jaw pain? I am beginning to hurt all over. The pain starte in my arms and legs but now I ache all over. The pain comes and goes. It seems to get worse when I get cold. My NS said there was nothing else he could do surgically. He referred me back to the pain management doctor.

What would cause my bite to shift to the right and pain at the joint of my jaw on the right? Could this change account for my having a constant eadache?

Feels like a nerve thing as main area of pain is lower front of jaw and at hinge of jaw when temp is in upper right jaw. Any suggestions or thoughts??

The inside of my mouth will feel like Novocaine is wearing off, there is pain along my jaw and below my ear, stabbing pain in my cheek, and the side of my nose will feel numb. My recent brain MRI report and that my peranasal sinuses are clear, and I have one lesion. I mentioned the sinuses because all that is connected in there and I have heard that sinuses can cause tooth pain. I hope you find out what is causing your pain and get relief for it.

But yes just my hayfever drives me insane. My eyes are always watering, im forever blowing my nose, and i cant stop sneezing!

It opens and closes just fine, but if I open it widely (As far as most people do during a yawn), then it causes a pain in the back of my head. This is a common symptom of tension headaches, I'm told. The sore spot is the one that has me wondering most, to be honest.

My wisdom teeth have been removed. There is also a tightness in my jaw when pain is present. Sometimes it throbs at night and sometimes there is no pain. It comes and goes during the day. kind of sensitive to the touch, but there was no bruising no swelling so temperature change and it went from above my right eyebrow across to my temple and down under my jaw line. Okay, has anyone else had jaw pain during pregnancy. I am having it on the right side and it hurts worse when I talk or when I eat. Just started today. However, jaw pain can also be a major symptom of a heart attack in women. What is your opinions. Anyone else?

No jaw pain but now you mention it I've got slightly sensitive teeth. Hope your jaw ache passes quickly.

Okay thanx symptoms is sore throat maybe more than a weak pain in 1 ear feeling if there is fluids in my ears jaw hurts excessive silava in my mouth and throat feeling whant to clear my throut whole time with white sometimes yelow phlegm and bitting whole time on my teath

s, never had a headache with it and my inner ears were always fine though the pain runs from under the earlobe along my lower jaw line. Cold air or wind now seems to be my main triggers, use to be talking too much but I'm not the talk-a-holic i once was lol so all i can think of now is when the weather gets cooler and air blows on my face, not a sure thing though, sometimes i haven't a clue what's set it off.

Regarding the jaw pain; clenching jaw muscles can affect your neck and jaw, it is actually a common symptom for many people who suffer from anxiety. If it is extreme, you can ask your dentist for a mouth guard, which can help reduce the pain and also save your teeth from any future damage ( use it at night while you sleep, or if you nap anytime)...

My doc prescribed omoxicillin

When I was pregnant with my son the same thing happened to me. My Dr suggested the following and surprisingly it did help. Cut a red onion in half and bring to a boil. While boiling inhale the steam for nasal congestion relief for 5 to 10 minutes. Stain water into a cup with lemon and honey and drink. It's not pleasant but it really breaks everything up and the antioxidants in the onion and honey really boost your immune system.

Of course I have the jaw pain and ear pain associated with the biting down on my jaw. But I have never had muscle twitches in my neck. Anyone have any answers?
