Avatar f tn Are you workingout or engaging in sexual activity when it happens? If so it's either from tilting your head back or holding your breath. Follow the link below and stretch your scalenes, I fixed myself in a week or two. This all assumes it not something more serious such as an aneurism which is lower likelihood but always possible http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf3TPLt5mkY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwwCaVNQJ3s&sns=em http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Avatar n tn I don't think I'm going to be able to say everything in one post, but here's my history. -recurring collapsed lung due to bleb in 2000. Had surgery. -became obsessed with health and started having panic attacks -on and off paxil, lexapro since 2001 -lower left impacted wisdom tooth removed in 2003 (dr. said nerve should be OK) I'll start from most recent symptoms and move towards the more general chronic symptoms.
Avatar m tn I have had chronic head pain that does not let up for the past four years. I have seen several doctors, tried chriopractor, Dentist. I cannot get a diagnosis for tghis pain. It feels like the pain you would have with a severe sinus infection along with all of my upper teeth constantly hurting, and the feeling of a deep ear ache. I am looking for anybody that has these same symtons and would like to know what you do for controlling the pain. I have tried several medications and none seem to help.
Avatar m tn Can someone just explain why i would feel pain in my head when i tap my jaw with my hand. Anywere on my jaw if i hit it with my hand i feel a jolt of pain in my head?? But i can move my jaw around perfectly so i know its not a jaw problem its almost like something is vibrating into my skull when i hit my jaw.
Avatar f tn I thought your teeth comment was interesting. My jaw has been aching lately - I have a right rear wisdom tooth that, while its not impacted, just keeps growing and growing. It is interesting that this is on the same side as the ear with issues. I will add this to my list of things to get checked! Thank you for your reply!
Avatar f tn I've notice this a little over a week ago when I was unconciously tilting my head in the shower a black spot in the center vision appear, it's very opaque and I can't see right through it and it only appears whenever I tilt my head. Not all the time but only when I make a sudden head movement or I tilt my head suddenly and sometimes it grew large in shape. What could possibly be the cause of this? I'm worried. I haven't been to my GP since feb because I have money issues.
Avatar m tn I forgot to add that in addition to tilting when a person is interested in what others say, that a person's head will tilt when they themselves ask a question. I might also add that when a person asks a question, they are subconsciously signaling a lowering of their confidence levels in order to allow someone else to take over and give an answer... and this is why your head tilting COULD be a psychological confidence thing in general if you are NOT asking questions.
Avatar m tn Update on this problem - it's still there! Still have pain when tilting my head back. A couple of weeks ago I 'slept funny' and woke up and couldn't turn my head to the left at all and was in extreme pain. I know this happens sometimes and don't think it's related to the original problem. Anyway after a week it was gone and I could move my neck again but it brought back some twinges along the ulnar nerve in my arms for the duration of the week.
Avatar m tn TMJ disorders — a type of temporomandibular disorder or TMD — can cause pain in your jaw joint and in the muscles that control jaw movement and this can radiate to parts of your head. If it continues, then maybe a trip to your dentist might be of some help.
670954 tn?1225745204 It feels as if I constantly need to crack my neck, shoulders and wrists, which results in me tilting my head back and forth excessively and stretching my arms and wrists out. About 8 years ago I went to my family doctor for an opinion. The blood work came back normal and I was told that it may just be a habit. Today the neck pain is accompanied with sporadic quick sharp pains in my temples and severe headaches after naps that rather quickly subside.
Avatar m tn Press under the corner of your jaw (by your ear) to feel if it is unusually tender. When these muscles spasm it can cause strong ear pain just as you describe Try this next time it starts to hurt: use a massage vibrator from behind the ear, to down under the jaw, working your way to where the clavicle meets the base of the neck next to the esophagus.
Avatar f tn When I am trying to read anything ( specially digital text ) I perceived the text as not been straight. What is it ? Could I possible tilting my head ? Eyes not aligned ? Tilting the screen 10-20 degrees seems to solve the problem .
1891806 tn?1391119037 My head feels very heavy, my left ear aches so bad and when I tilt my head back, the back of my neck really hurts. I have never felt pain on my skin at the slightest touch. My eyes hurt a little when I blink and I am frustrated with all of this. Even though I have been fighting symptoms for 2 years, these are new to me. I'm stuggling at this very moment to keep a positive outlook. Anyone have these symptoms or could I have a new ailment?
Avatar m tn Help I feel like my ear will never unclog? I have tried everything Elevated pillows warm clth on my ear, wiggling my jaw, yawning, swallowing tilting my head to the side that my ear is clogged & standing on one foot & jumping up & down, antibiotics, nasal sprays, ENTs Medical Doctors, Sudafed. it unclogs for a few days then it clogs up again! ( will it go away after my cold goes away?
Avatar n tn The headaches, head squishy sound, crackling, hydraulic like tension when turning or tilting my head. I settles down when not moving but really drives me nuts especially when exercising my neck. Feels like thick fluid squishing back and forth causing a resistance opposing the motion. I also get this singing in my head, not my ears, I describe it as power wires covered with ice on a real cold morning. This comes on stronger the more I fight back against the resistance to neck motion.
Avatar m tn , I can see it now on my monitor everytime just by moving my head, if I move my head forward or backward it spins. I read people usually watch it by tilting the head, in my case is moving it closer to the monitor but I also see it by tilting, it seems by brain is not filtering it that much anymore.
Avatar m tn My daughter has been experiencing head pain around her ear, above and behind and the pain radiats to her lower jaw ... she noticed this 2 days ago and the only thing she recalls that can have an effect on her was that she wore ear phones in music class and wears earrings..but I don't know if this contributes to the pain or caused it.. I gave her tylenol yesterday and it didn't help so today I tried Excedrin....What can be causing this pain?
1653057 tn?1302368323 The x-rays were of her legs, spine, and neck. I don't think they took any of her head because she wasn't unbalanced or tilting her head at that time. Either she wasn't exhibiting those symptoms at that time or we just hadn't noticed them.
Avatar n tn I have noticed the pain go to as far as my jaw. I though it maybe something to do with my jaw because my jaw is set far back anyway (i have problems with my teeth) but I am getting no pain in my jaw. I have no vision problems. I was tested 2 months ago because doctor noticed I had large optic disks but the eye doctor said I was fine and it was physiologic disk cupping, meaning i was born with it and its not harmful.
Avatar m tn i have the same symtomps assiosiated with neck pain shoulder pain & dizziness. the more i talk, the dizziness & back of head are so tight & pain. have you got any solutions?
Avatar f tn Hi Selma, a question, I have had the vision go in my left eye 3 times over a few months, only when I put my head back reaching with my left hand to turn out the light. Do you know if others who have had their vision affected like this ? Only in my one eye, & for under a min.
Avatar m tn spinning room when tilting my head to one side and resulting nausea. This subsided completely in a few days but I was left with intermittent dizziness which has become more permanent in recent months. Have also had ongoing (mild) tinnitus, blurred/double vision (better now) mild numbness in hand/ foot / face and now I have stiff / crunchy neck (fingers often stiff too), a throat clunking (catching of something) when I swallow, and in the past 2 weeks building ear pain .. in my right ear only.
