Dec 16 was my last dose (tapered down to .5-.25mg for a couple weeks). I still feel horrible. Today is more worse than any other. All the symptoms are present. Congrats on Day 8! I'm a former hydro user and also a former gabapentin person. Gabapentin is not addictive. I was on 300 mg/3x a day, too. At some point in my recovery, I decided to get off every single Rx I was on and see what I would be like w/o an antidepressant, pain med, muscle relaxer or gaba for my nerve damage. I weaned off the gabap and stopped after a week at 1 300 mg/day. It chose to take it at night to assist with my sleep. If it has helped you, that's really great!

Hello, I have heard that " Crawley" Skin has something to do with " Nerve damage. Then. I hear it's something to do with my diabetes. All I know my docter gave me, " Gabapentin. But this medication is to strong for me. But it works even though it's generic. So"? Does this Crawley sensation, cause your " Fybroids to act up"?

I had some gastro pain a couple of weeks after vic was introduced (week 10), this resolved after a couple of weeks. HGB, Platelets, WBCs and ANC were all normal prior to tx and became quite low. Rescue drugs were necessary to keep going. I was in a trial and completed a 43 week tx 6 months ago. It was tough but ok as I pretty much expected. Good luck with your treatment, what week are you in?

Hi Mike, another Gabapentin user here, I've been on it about 2 months now (came off Pregabalin due to side effects to try this one), take it same way as most of the others - 400 morning, afternoon and night and I'm still trying find the right dose to stop the jellylegs 300 x 3 per day worked for about 4 wks ( had to build up slowly) but have needed to increase lately side effects have been minimal except I've started snoring - waking myself up as well as my husband!

Hello, I am new to this group. I have had more than 85 blood tests since I was diagnosed with Lyme in July of 2014. All have been negative. I have been on may drugs for pain and currently on Gabapentin for vocal cord/coughing issues and leg pain (knee, calf, left side back). I don't think it is helping much. Is anyone else on Gabapentin?

Because I seem to be responding better to this latter drug, I am now slowly weaning off the gabapentin. I guess if the pain increases as I go off the gabapentin, this will tell me it was helping more than I realized. I have no side effects from the gabapentin, even at such a high dose. I do find the 50mg amitriptyline makes me very drowsy, and may need to scale it back to 40mg if this side effect continues.

Has anyone expierence swelling of the face with gabapentin? I know it can be a side effect. My question is; Is this an allergic reaction or is the dosage too much? Actually my face feels stiff at times and cheeks get sore. If it is the gabapentin, what would be the alternative? Thank you med help family........
