The other day, I went to a Christmas party and left the gabapentin at home, so I missed a dose. I got a horrible stomach ache that night and was miserable. The next day, I took the medicine, and the stomach aches are gone. i also have gotten weird vision problems when I accidentally miss a dose. The little packet that came with my medicine said there can be vision changes and GI problems if you stop taking the medicine completely without medical advice.

I am a bit worried about taking Gabapentin.....if it starts to work, and I think it might be.....(which is awesome for the day to day life), but when you're not in pain, you can forget that something is wrong! Im worried that I won't push for an answer as hard and/or something will get missed! I don't want to take this band-aid treatment for the rests of my life.....I want to get better!

There are dangers with allergies to this drug, and also shouldn't be used if you have kidney, liver or heart disease. And I'm on suboxone, ambien, phyrostigme/mestinon,clonazepam. Lately I been getting heart palpitations, sleepiness and numbness in the hands, and also in the feet. Some lightheaded and also dizziness. I have 3 kids n really trying to see if anyone knows what it could be also my hand feels real hot the last couple days when it's cold? So for me, I'm on Vitamin E, Mogadon, and Predmisolome to help my Gabapentin withdrawal symptoms and I think it's helping so far but I'll only be sure of that once I get a good night's worth of rest which I haven't gotten in about 2 months. Good luck to who ever is reading this. You are not alone. These brain zaps almsot drove me to suicide and I am hoping that getting off the Gabapentin and taking these withdrawal meds will help. My eyes hurt as well as my head. I went to the doctor today to rule out Rhematoid arthritis, lupus, and Lyme disease. I had these symptons about 4 years ago and they just vanishes mysteriously. Any ideas? Fibromylagia maybe? Thanks in advance!

HI AHHH a man after my own heart I grew indoors for yrs....neurontin is a funny drug and reacts differently in everybody....I was given it for chronic pain and it not only dident work but the side effects where awful ....

i take methotrexate and placquinal,and prednisone and zanaflex and oxys for pain and nothing is working .i am still in horrible pain.. i already took a long hot bath and now i am goung to bed.. anyone have any suggestions for this flare that i am having to try to calm it down that doesnt include going to the ER or calling my doc. he will only up my prednisone and i am trying to come down off of it.. thanks for any replys ahead of time.. hugs ..
