will gabapentin help with percocet withdrawals. I have been taking perks for about 2 months and I ran out of them and don't want to buy them off the street. I want to detox from them but I can't stand the withdrawals and was told that gabapentin will help with the withdrawals. how true is this?

I do take two naproxen 220 mg along with one one 10 mg oxycodone IR tablet and two 300 mg gabapentin capsules in the the AM when I wake up. Oxycodone is a little bit stronger than Vicodin. But I agree with the first poster that you need to contact your pharmacist to make sure the combo is OK for you to take as everyone is different and you may have underlying medical conditions that would make it an unsafe. choice for you.

I am type 2 and have been diagnosed with PDR in both eyes. I've been getting Lucentis injections and they have improved my vision. The retina specialist said there is a new drug about to get FDA approval and he thinks it will work better for me than Lucentis. Can anybody tell me anything about this drug? And what will it cost?

Your story is very common almost normal for treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy PDR . First of all your FA, OCT and eye exam will not be normal. You have diabetic retinopathy almost assuredly background DR and your PDR is inactive. Laser doesn't "cure" you it can just for a time stop progression. Laser works by killing tissue and creating scars so you have laser marks and scars inside your eye.

t know too much about international pharmaceuticals... but india has something called tranax. Is there any way to ID this pill? Perhaps an india PDR or something?

Hello, I am new to this group. I have had more than 85 blood tests since I was diagnosed with Lyme in July of 2014. All have been negative. I have been on may drugs for pain and currently on Gabapentin for vocal cord/coughing issues and leg pain (knee, calf, left side back). I don't think it is helping much. Is anyone else on Gabapentin?

Because I seem to be responding better to this latter drug, I am now slowly weaning off the gabapentin. I guess if the pain increases as I go off the gabapentin, this will tell me it was helping more than I realized. I have no side effects from the gabapentin, even at such a high dose. I do find the 50mg amitriptyline makes me very drowsy, and may need to scale it back to 40mg if this side effect continues.

Has anyone expierence swelling of the face with gabapentin? I know it can be a side effect. My question is; Is this an allergic reaction or is the dosage too much? Actually my face feels stiff at times and cheeks get sore. If it is the gabapentin, what would be the alternative? Thank you med help family........

I had an episode of burning on my forhead and cheeks and pins and needle feelings in which I started Gabapentin for. Over a 4 week period I gradually increased the dosage to what I am on now, 300mg three times daily. This seems to help greatly with the nerve pain but I started after 2 weeks to develop a very itchy neck, ear lobe, and face. My face sometimes looked like it was burned. Im just wondering if anyone has had this while taking Gabapentin.

Went to a new doctor today and he seems to feel the vicodene is no longer working so he had prescribed me gabapentin-100 mgs. three times a day. My concern now is withdrawing from the vocoden. doctor has suggested that I taper down to half a pill a week (of the vicodene). Hi has anyone been on gabapentin or heard of it before? I have had 3 discectomies on L4/L5 disc and now have tissue scarring leaving me with the same as before all my surgeries.
