1334842 tn?1275676847 John was shot through tthe hand and leg about a year ago. His nerves are waking up and last I knew he was on Vicoden, Lexapro, and Zofran. He was supposed to be taking Gabapentin, but ran out while we were dating. when we first got together he was very nice to me, almost exactly like me. He complimented me all the time, cared about me, etc.
1772374 tn?1326246237 m currently taking Gabapentin, Xanax when needed, Busiprone, and Lexapro. Lexapro is an SSRI for depressant and is known for helping anxiety. Gabapentin is a tranquilizer/mood-stabalizer. Busiprone is an anti-anxiety drug as well but non-benzo. It works on Serotonin, and a little bit on Dopamine. Right now after taking the gabapentin and 2mg xanax im feeling a lil at ease. Plus what helps me a tad is to take a walk and observe nature in a sort of meditative way. Meditation is good too.
Avatar m tn I have been suffering extreme anxiety from HIV phobia and taking anti depressant Lexapro 10 mg for a week. I was told by doctor I cannot take other supplement containing 5 HTP or serotonin. I just tried to take a 5-htp supplement 30mg last night and I had drenched my clothes. I did not have a fever (I guess, if I have i would feel very sick). Can it cause night sweat or it is the serotonin syndrome that causes the night sweats?
600041 tn?1356160129 Yesterday (Tuesday) my Psychiatrist basically informed me that the medicines I'm currently on, Klonopin and Gabapentin, are essentially doing 'all they can do' for me. I've been suffering from some rather severe depression lately, with anxiety continuing to be the beast that never sleeps.
Avatar f tn ve currently been diagnosed with Neuropathy. I take Lexapro for depression. They added Elavil and Gabapentin to try to alleviate my symptoms. Here goes the fun part, my symptoms. All opinions are welcome and MS does run in my family. I'm a 29 year old female. Right sided pain, numbness, tingling My limbs feel as though they weigh 10x's what they actually do. Strange sharp pains in my neck. Electrical jolt pains throughout my right side.
8496079 tn?1398412516 Has the drug Gabapentin (generic for Neurontin) worked for Fibromyaglia pain within a few days of taking this medication for the horrible pain from the Fibro? I was put on Gabapentin (generic for Neurontin) yesterday by my doctor for my Fibromyalgia Condition in addition to the Norco 7.5/325 I can take up to 4 pills day as needed for the massive pain I'm in.
Avatar n tn The anxiety is constant and I control it with .5 mg. Alrpazolam (xanax)3x day. I have MS and Fybromyalgia. I take Lexapro 20mg morning, oxybuttnin for bladder at night, 5mg, Buspirone HCL 15mg twice a day for anxiety. Started Namenda 10 mg. 5 nights ago. Is the burning from the Fybro or MS? What do you suggest for the pain and anxiety?
Avatar f tn Hello there. I would say continue following the instructions upon your prescription until you see your doctor again. If Prozac has noticably helped you that's good but i do know of other anti-depressants that are more focused on anxiety. If it comes down to it you may ask your doctor about Buspirone and/or Lexapro. I'm sensitive to anti-depressants Lexapro has seemed to help a bit and ive taken Buspirone (Buspar) for 4 days now noticing some improvement.
Avatar f tn I have beenbtaking 8 50mg for the past month. I also take seroquel, lamictal, lexapro, st johns wart, l tyrosine all for depression and bipolar. Will I have serious withdrawals if I quit now? Will all my depression meds help soften the blow mentally? Anyone been ok when xeroxing off tramadol??
Avatar m tn Hey folks, I think the regulars here know my story. I had a very odd reaction to stopping Paxil over three and a half years ago, and I've never gotten over what happened. Basically, I was being treated for panic attacks, and ended up with constant anxiety, stifling depression, huge anticipatory anxiety, and worse phobia problems.
Avatar f tn My psychiatrist feels that lexapro is the necessary next step, and i am curious to hear if anyone in a similar situation to me has been down this same path? Thanks, I’ve been reading these posts for years (hence the anxiety) and finally decided it time to jump in myself.
Avatar m tn I have never taken gabapentin. What is it that you don't like about it? There are other medications for sleep that you could try. I take klonopin for sleep but that is habit forming and I'm certain after all these years I'm hooked on it so I'm not advocating this drug in particular but just saying there may be other medications for sleep that may work better for you.
Avatar n tn I've noticed quite a few people seem to share my symptoms of generalized anxiety and elevated heart rate and blood pressure. During times when I do not feel good, I can become labile and have a resting heart rate of around 100 to 120. I've bounced back and forth between cardiologists and psychiatrists, and unfortunately this doesn't seem to be a very well understood issue. This seems to be seasonal. During the summer months, I'm perfectly fine.
Avatar n tn I have chronic back pain and take 400 mg gabapentin 2 times day. I also take welbutrin and lexapro for anxiety and depression. I take metoporol and isosorbide for chest pain associated with myocardial bridge. Wed. I started getting discomfort in my chest and it got worse, so i started to drive myself to the hospital because it was radiating to my jaw , i got about 5 min. out and the pain was getting intense. i felt lightheaded, short of breath and like i had something in my chest expanding.
Avatar f tn i was diagnosed with bipolar 6 years ago after a head injury and was taking zyprexa. Soon after, I was hospitalized with pancreatitis. The doctors immediatly took me off the zyprexa. Since then I have quit all alcohol and never did take drugs. I am currently taking Lexapro, but i don't feel it is what i need. I am constantly tierd, gaining weight, have constant muscle pain, especially in my feet and legs. I still suffer from mood swings, the ups and downs.
Avatar f tn ve been having them for maybe 8 weeks now. I am on Gabapentin 900 mg x3 per day but found out that it was the Gabapentin causing the anxiety state, heart palpitations, difficulty breathing, as well as the zaps of anxiety that plunges my eyes open right when I am drifting into sleep. You situation may be that it was one of your medication causing this.
Avatar f tn Hi Zignut, Welcome to our Pain Management Community. Excuse my tardy respone. I'm sorry to hear about your "sluggish" feeling. Remar has offered some good suggestions. The medications you are taking alone can cause a sluggish feeling. A side effect of Lexapro is unusual tiredness or weakness and fatigue. It's also a questionable prescription for ppl with diabetes and liver disease. Your physician is the expert - not me or anyone here.
Avatar m tn I am now prescribed .5mg xanax 2times a day 20 mg of valium at bed time along with lexapro and trazadone (if needed). I am also prescribed 100mg neurontin 3 times per day in between the xanax to help with withdrawal symptoms. Is this a safe cocktail and is it hard to get off neurontin?

Avatar f tn The medication list includes cymbalta 30mg two times per day zanaflex 4mg three times a day hydrocodone 10/325 5 times per day oxycodone 10/325 at bedtime Zofran as needed every six hours. Lexapro 10mg two in morning. Gabapentin 1000mg three times a day and adderall 15 mg in morning and half a tab at 1:00. Should I be worried my baby is messed up by all these meds I am on? Because I am very worried. I have my first checkup next tuesday. I am so scared.
Avatar f tn I am on Gabapentin as a mood stablizer and have been for approx 3 months. My doctors and I chose this medication because of the benefits of pain control for my FMS as well as BPD. I also was on Lexapro for the last 4 weeks and was taken off this med yesterday due to side effects and was started on Lamictal. My question is this......these are both mood stablizers, correct?
Avatar f tn t tell that the lexapro has helped that. I can tell the lexapro helps a little with sleep. Not a whole lot. I have a very hard time sleeping. I am not sure what would have triggered my dyso. I have had mono, flu, knee surgeries, and came from a very abusive family (there are so many things that could have caused it). The really severe problems started about 7-8 years ago. I have always had problems with my stomach, bladder, and sleeping (this seems to lean toward the abuse as triggers???
Avatar f tn m terrified of this coming back tenfold) and I take lexapro 20mg...and wellbutrin xl 300mg currently. My wellbutrin dose was bumped up a month ago from 150mg...so I'm hoping that maybe that will help me fight the depression crap from this? Just curious to hear of anyone's experience with antidepressants and withdrawals. Thanks guys.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am new to this group. I have had more than 85 blood tests since I was diagnosed with Lyme in July of 2014. All have been negative. I have been on may drugs for pain and currently on Gabapentin for vocal cord/coughing issues and leg pain (knee, calf, left side back). I don't think it is helping much. Is anyone else on Gabapentin?
293157 tn?1285873439 Because I seem to be responding better to this latter drug, I am now slowly weaning off the gabapentin. I guess if the pain increases as I go off the gabapentin, this will tell me it was helping more than I realized. I have no side effects from the gabapentin, even at such a high dose. I do find the 50mg amitriptyline makes me very drowsy, and may need to scale it back to 40mg if this side effect continues.
Avatar f tn Has anyone expierence swelling of the face with gabapentin? I know it can be a side effect. My question is; Is this an allergic reaction or is the dosage too much? Actually my face feels stiff at times and cheeks get sore. If it is the gabapentin, what would be the alternative? Thank you med help family........
Avatar m tn Most of the individuals described in these reports had a history of poly-substance abuse or used Gabapentin to relieve symptoms of withdrawal from other substances. When prescribing Gabapentin carefully evaluate patients for a history of drug abuse and observe them for signs and symptoms of Gabapentin misuse or abuse (e.g. development of tolerance, self-dose escalation, and drug-seeking behavior).
