Common Questions and Answers about Gabapentin and zolpidem

1218873 tn?1300094816 I take l0mg Zolpidem each night and have for years. I wake feeling fresh without any drowsiness.
Avatar f tn I previously alternated between temazepam and zolpidem for sleep. I also take gabapentin. Three weeks ago I stopped temazepam and tramadol. I am taking zolpidem every night now and continue gabapentin 3x a day. I don't crave either of the meds I quit, but I have been experiencing inability to concentrate, ringing in my ears, vomiting, blurry vision, sweating, confusion, anxiety and mood swings. The symptoms wax and wane and I can't find a pattern.
Avatar m tn I went back to the Urog and he said my level was at a good level and it was left up to me. The shots have continued to help my energy, but my sex drive has gone to nothing. I was able to get off my Celexa for about a week and that helped, but this time it’s not helping. The depression has got worse. I’ve tried many times to get off the pain and other medicines, but that makes me worse. They allow me to get up and be able to function every day. I have a great pain Dr.
Avatar f tn elavil, doxepin, remeron, trazadone, lithium, dexadrine, phenobarbital, celexa, zoloft, prozac, risperdone, triazolam, magnesium, calcium, vitamin D, xanax, triazolam, depakote, zolpidem, and gabapentin. The xanax kind of helped, as mentioned. The others did not. I don't know why I was tried on mainly psychiatric meds. I was diagnosed with benign essential tremor and benign fasciculations, but I feel they are part of the same problem since they flare up at the same time.

Avatar f tn They would probably be able to help you. I also tried Tegretol and it made me a zombie, also gabapentin -- neither one helped with the pain. I finally ended up on Trileptal and after many dosage increases, got to the point where the pain was controlled. I was able to work by taking NoDoz with my morning and midday dosages (at the doctor's suggestion) to counteract any drowsiness. It's very important to find a doctor that specializes in facial pain. I hope you find your pain solution.
Avatar m tn I have fought several Staph infestion over the last 3 years, never had it before that. I've been to GP, and Dermertoglist. I will add my Rx, and med history below. Every time the Dr. would put me on Antibotics for my staph, and about a 1-1 1/2 all the bumps in my head would clear up. After about 2 weeks after stopping they would come back. This has happened several times. Had Amoxcillen and Bactrian. The Dermotogists started me on Bactroban Cream 2% bid.
Avatar m tn anyways since my doctor feels patients should be on this lifelong i went to another doc and toldm situation. Gave me zolpidem, clonazepam and bucket full of gabapentin, to help me through this process. Any suggestions?

Syva labs has recently reworked its Cannabinoid test and claims to have eliminated this problem. But a Science magazine article (July 8, 1988) lists Ibuprofen as cross reactive. Under the new government guidelines THC testing levels will be reduced to 50 nanograms. Many more THC false positives can be expected in 1994. Dristan Nasal Spray, Neosynephren, Vicks Nasal Spray, Sudafed, etc.
Avatar m tn But I can't take another Zolpidem during the day, so planning to go to a Chiropractor today (Sunday) and if that doesn't work, take another Zolpidem tonight and go to my primary care physician on Monday, hoping for a referral to a specialist.

544292 tn?1268886268 Hi Tramadol Warriors, Many people have come here for many years, giving support and getting support. Because I still believe that Tramadol is unique in it's ... terror and torture of humans, this thread continues. The people who can understand what you are going thru are the people who have kicked it and there's people here who come back to lend a hand. You also will never need an understanding ear as much. You can do it. You can quit. You do not need to be a slave to Tramadol.

796642 tn?1238446580 I think if you do a search on med help you will bring up my question, chronic nerve pain and peoples answers to me, I found them helpful. I am taking Gabapentin and have recently increased my dose with my Drs permission and I have found that it has helped greatly. I don't have any side affects from the Gabapentin. I stagger started it (slowly increased the dose), and when I think I don't need it I do the same to stop it but at the moment can't live without it.
544292 tn?1268886268 Understanding is essential! You can do this. And yes. Eventually you will heal!
544292 tn?1268886268 Welcome Tram Warriors! Part 60. Wow. Over the years of recovery and reading about others, seeing others recover the main thing I have learned is that everyone's life is better without being a slave to Tramadol. You might be stuck and scared right now, but you can make the decision to get yourself off the hamster wheel of Tramadol dependency and even addiction. You don't have to live that way. There's lots of people here to help.
544292 tn?1268886268 Good Morning Tramadol Warriors, Welcome to the room, snuggle down and make yourself comfy. You can quit tramadol. You can stop. You can recover. I believe in you!
1669035 tn?1303499346 * insert puffy face again* But yet he keeps pushing weight management and took me off gabapentin and doxepin and any other drugs that seem to add to my problem. He said I did not need to add diabetis to my list of problems as my father had type II.. I am 5'4 and hold my weight in good, well I think I do, at a little over 200. Yes that is considered obese on the BMI if that is the right term. My feet hurt my legs hurt my body hurts. I try.

Avatar m tn I have had pretty much every test under the sun (HIV, MRIs, EMGs, EEGs, Sleep Studies, Western Blot, and the list goes on and on) and everything has come back normal except for 1 and I will go into that further down. Ok, so let's get on to my symptoms. At times I have this feeling of an inner tremor of sorts. It is real hard to explain to someone who hasn't felt it but I would correlate it to having an extreme feeling of a caffeine buzz.
Avatar n tn You need to continue the medication for couple of weeks as advised by your doctor and try to avoid trigger factors like alcohol, smoking and stress. It is better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated. Take care and updated on your thoughts and progress.
Avatar n tn U have already had the worst of it and now, they will begin to taper off and get better and better. The irritability may last a little longer, but not much I imagine. Anyway, congrats. U took the meds like u should and didnt ever get into trouble w/ them. That says a lot to me. Anyway, that makes a difference during all of this, in my opinion. Stay positive and by the end of the weekend, I bet they are a memory, distand I hope. How is your pain now? Do u have another way to manage it?
Avatar n tn It is very annoying and unpleasant. It has been a few months now and happens several times an hour. It happens outside the ribs where there aren't many thick muscles but it's enough to stop me in the middle of what I am doing. Any news out there?
Avatar n tn Thanks to Duchess47, Wepst and JDanMan for your comments and suggestions. I will seriously look into all of your suggestions and hope that it's just some seasonal allergy thing. Thanks again.
