Avatar f tn Tell him, in all seriousness, that there is a way to rid a house of ghosts. Then do it. Walk around in every room with him and each of you carry a lit candle. Shine it around, and sing as you go. Any song will do. In your other hand, carry a spray bottle with water. Spray the water in each room as you go. Open the closets and sing and spray and let the candlelight fall in every dark corner.
Avatar m tn I don't think it will actually harm him to stand when going #2, though it doesn't seem to be the healthiest way (since squatting is seen as more healthy than sitting, one would assume that the further a person gets from squatting the more far from what nature intended). If he were my kid, though, I would want to help him get over the irrational fear that is causing him to stand up in the first place. My son is about to be 7 and he is afraid of ghosts.
Avatar n tn when I was younger and never have gotten over my fear of dolls/mannequins. I am also still afraid of the dark due to other childhood experiences. However, I did find that me keeping my door open to the hallway, hallway light on, or the light on in my closet helped. Also, I liked to turn the radio on low and hear the live radio chatter.
Avatar n tn I feel it is an excuse to try and sleep in our bed (as that is always HIS solution to the problem when asked what he would like to do about it). Any insight as to why he would be afraid of ghosts/dark suddenly would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn It's all started with a panic attack a year back. I thought I was going crazy. Went to a local psychiatrist and he told me I have GAD. And gave me a anti-anxiety pill. Took for like a week and started to have sleep problems. So I stopped it. Being coping with my anxiety since then. And living with the fear of schiz. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes it's so hard. Read so many articles about schiz OCD in Internet to make me feel ok. But with that new symptoms I figuring out.
Avatar f tn My first thought was 'anal glands'....but as you've had him thoroughly checked by the sound of it, that doesn't seem to be it. It's nothing to do with insects, moths or flies, is it? Sudden nerve pains? (But that may not cause him to watch something invisible in the room.) Is he on any medication which could cause side effects? Hallucinations? Now it's often hard to tell if a dog has hallucinations, as they are not going to tell you about it.
Avatar m tn My 6 yr old son is afraid of everything. He won't go be in a room by himself even if I'm right next door. He follows me around constantly because he is afraid to be alone. He talks about ghosts a lot. He's not ADD or on any medication. He is driving me crazy with these fears. I can't even go to the bathroom without him most of the time because he's so afraid. What should I be doing? I've talked to him about his fears and the ghosts.
Avatar m tn One year ago I had surgery to remove a shifted posterior lens (from '97 cataract surgery). It was replaced with an anterior lens. In the process, the iris was torn to the extent that the new lens does not completlely cover my enlarged pupil, resulting in light "ghosts" to left of object light plus "ghosts of those ghosts" to right of object light. Vision 20-60, at best.
Avatar f tn Call me cat. I just woke up from another weird "experience". Its new to me. I have a problem I know. Otherwise I'd be asleep right now. It comes out of nowhere. I know I'm asleep. But it strikes. I wake up suddenly. My whole body feels like It's pulsing. I can feel my heart actually racing behind my neck. I have problems breathing. I don't remember dreaming but I wake up screaming my little sisters name usually.
Avatar f tn My step son is eight years old and he has a fear of the dark. More specifically he is afraid that a serial killer will get him in the dark. He doesn't fear monsters or ghosts or any of the "normal" childhood fears and the specific fear cocerns me. I am sure it has something to do with seeing something on TV. I have found plenty of solutions to fears of monsters and and dark shadows but this is new to me and I am curious if there is anything I can do to help him over come this fear.
Avatar n tn It is said that younger children are able to see angels or ghosts as they have not been long left the spiritual world to be in the natural world. Smaller children have less of a fear of seeing such. As long as he isn't afraid then I would not worry about it and hopefully with time he won't mention it again if he starts experiencing frightening sightings then you may want to soeak with a doctor regarding it.
637356 tn?1301924822 I always heard the dark ones are evil and they are there with him for some reason, i couldnt tell you what the reason is because i dont know, but they of all of them would scare e the most...Lots of thumbs up for calling the preacher he can help alot. Avatar m tn No ghosts, at least in this instance. I reported one of the two threads as a duplicate, so it must have gotten deleted.
Avatar f tn The ghost hunters caught recordings of the ghosts saying their name was Michael and other words ect. I told my friend about it and not expecting this at all she's REFUSING to come to my baby shower now because of what I told her. I'm sorry but I'm PI SSED! she's my best friend and were due two days apart.. Someone tell me she's being a drama queen. I lived with them for some time and I didn't know of any ghosts. Like seriously..??
Avatar m tn allmymarbles makes a very good point! Children this young are very impressionable, and he may be hearing things and now imagining what he has heard adults talking about. I would put more emphasis on what the adults are saying or doing and go from there. All it takes is for one over-bearing adult to convince other adults that this is real. I feel so sorry for this child, it appears his young life has been full of hauntings and ghosts, someone needs to intervene.
168348 tn?1379357075 Nope. No Hints. Keep watching for some ghosts and goblins ........
Avatar f tn Yes, and ask the guidance counselor at school. Don't let your son live with paralyzing fear. No more zombie movies, replace them with hilarious and silly comedies. For like a year. Poor kid. He's internalizing so much stress, he should not be adding fearful images to it. As one boy said, "I know ghosts are real, but I'm still scared of them." Give him something else to remember and laugh at.
Avatar f tn Hello. I am 21 and my work is based around PC and coding. I am noticing something like "ghosts" in my vision, which is worse at night. I don't have blurry vision and I don't think that I have double vision because I see everyday objects very clear, but when I look at the tv for example, I can see the screen clear and a little bit of its dim "ghost" above the edge of the screen.
Avatar f tn Im doing pregnancy yoga so trying to use the breathing techniques ive learned to relax and mostly it works and I fall asleep no problem unfortunately I'd wake up again in an hour or so after having another mad dream and I also get painful hips and legs at night which im yet to find a cure for. My dreams are usually either weird sex dreams or I'm arguing with my family over My child raising ideas.

Avatar m tn I know it is unlikely but it triggers fear, a big kind of fear.. This is all anxiety right? Nothing psychotic, I read it's either u r psychotic or not, and moreover prozac at my age wont cause any psychosis right?
518798 tn?1295212279 My sister had a Halloween party with a ghost theme. Every one had to come as some kind of ghost...we had clown ghosts, Arab ghosts, hooker ghosts etc. It was pretty funny.
Avatar f tn Ive really never truly believed in ghosts but lately weirdthings have been happening. I wake up everynight and feel like someones watching me. Its so hard to go back to sleep. The other night there was loud knocking on my window but when we looked outside no one was there even close to being there. And just now the power went out, only in my room. I looked up on google ghosts and pregnancy just cause im curious and a lot of people were saying they feel theyre being watched a lot.
Avatar n tn I have had the same type of sensations. A lot of times I think I have dropped water on my leg and there is nothing there. I think I brushed up against something but there is nothing around me. Various strange things like these. I believe It is just my nerves over-reacting to something, but not ghosts. I cannot really believe a doctor brushed you off like this and my only advice is to be more of an advocate for yourself, or to try a different and more professional physician.
595125 tn?1219834270 What you descrive is a panic attack when you have this intense fear, then you become afraid of the fear and so on until it becomes a vicious circle. You came to the right place! You should browze a lot of these threads as you will quickly see that you are not alone in your fear and anxiety and you will perhaps learn from how others have coped with it.
1459188 tn?1291031737 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.
