I have been taking Enbrel for 5 years. I am 57 years. In the last year I have developed a head tremor which is getting progressively worse.

I did see, after I posted, that Humira is also ridiculously expensive. Hopefully the generic Enbrel will be available soon, but in the meantime, it seems there are numerous drugs you can at least try. I have the same question as AireScotti. My doctor wants to put me on Enbrel. I've read the side effects and are freaking out. I'm so angry that I try so hard to eat good foods that will make me healthy and not get cancer or infections. I understand that Enbrel takes away the immune system so I feel like going into a protective bubble. My doctor said that if I get a bruise that bleeds then I have to call him immediately and go on antibiotics.

----I stabilized completely last summer and I was on the brand name version of the medication. When I switched over to the generic, I started having problems and had to increased the dose from 900mgs to 1600mgs over the space of a few months. Any changes in the dosages over this time dropped me into a deep depression and I HAD to drop the dosage many times because it was agitating me. I just assumed it was because I was adjusting to the medication.

Hi. I've had RA for 17 years, on Enbrel for the last 8.5. I never wanted to go on MTX because the side effects scare me, and I enjoy a few drinks with friends. A new doctor has put me on it in conjunction with Enbrel because I have couple joints which have been causing me problems. Otherwise, I've been great on Enbrel. weird, never thought that enbrel would be a cause of hpv. I have developed hpv before starting on enbrel. what connection is there between the two?

Doctor, I would like information related to Enbrel and MS. I used Enbrel for less than one year. I now have demylination of the cervical spinal cord, both optic nerves, plaques in my brain, numbness in leg and balance problems. I am now fifty eight. Symtoms started at age fifty six with numbness in leg and balance problems. I have been told it looks "MSish." Questions: now that the new symptom of, the optic nerves being demlinated, is it MS?

I have been told to get off Enbrel for needed gallbladder surgery. My problem is that when I get off Enbrel, every joint in my body swells, turns red, hurts unbearably and locks up. I become completely bedridden and cannot get dressed or go to the bathroom without help. My blood tests show that, even with the Enbrel, my c reactives and other immune response numbers are very high. They tell me that they will give me prednisone to help with the reaction.

I am having the exact issue you describe, except I'm on Enbrel. Just started seeing an ENT specialist to try to get to the bottom of it. The Enbrel works for my RA when I can stay on it, but then I get sinus infection and have to go back off... it's a constant cycle. Constant headache behind my eyes and sinus congestion. I take Allegra D for sinus and Bultalbital (prescribed) for the headaches, but it barely takes the edge off. Been dealing with this for years...

I have had moderate to severe RA for 5 years. Take Enbrel once a week and am supposed to take 5mg. injectible of methotrexate weekly. I had gone without the methotrexate for at least six months and have not noticed any difference at all. I am scared to death of the methotrexate. Can anyone explain why my doctor wants me to continue it if it does not seem to make a difference? I do great on the Enbrel by itself, but am sure there are reasons, I just don't understand!

My doctor wants to put me on Enbrel but i am nervious about it. All the reading i do about it suggests that the cure is worse then the disease and it seems that the risk of getting cancer, lupus or the like is extreamly high (higher then the other injectables). I am no stranger to biologics, my doctor had me on Raptiva (before they pulled it) and i loved it. Completly cleared me with no side effects and even kept me clear for 2 years after i stopped using it. But Enbrel scares me.

Hi I have been on Enbrel injections for over 4 years and i can't praise the drug enough fantastic results - i have the chance to visit family in Australia for 4 months when i retire in 18 months time the only obstacle is my medication and how would it work with my getting enbrel injections and it is a long flight - is there a solution around this problem

I'm new to this website. Question, I'm soon to be taking my third dose of clomid. I haven't picked up my prescription yet but, i'm lost.. I don't know whether to take the generic or name brand. Ive been taken the generic(clomiphene citrate) for the past two cycles with no luck.. Dr said he would rather me be on the brand name. It is more expensive. I don't know what to do.

m convinced that there is a correlation between these things and the Enbrel. Have any other Enbrel users been diagnosed with any of these inflammatory diseases? My gut feeling is that the Enbrel truly is the cause, but it has worked so well on my joints, I'm hesitant to try anything else. My Rheumatologist is going to argue with me about my hypothesis, but I know my body. Can anyone give some insight?
