Avatar f tn Anyway it is really embarrassing to go to a gym and my family gives me no support so I never do it at home. Where should I workout?? Should I just tough trough it and get a gym membership? The problem is there has to be a gym that is open at 11 since that would be my only time to workout. What should I do? Should I just continue to do vigorous house work and walking the dog? Or should I just get a gym membership? Thanks I appreciate it!
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?
Avatar f tn Can I go to the gym now that I'm pregnant? I used to go on a regular basis (3-4 times a week) but I havent gone since I found out I'm pregnant (only about a week ago). I feel a little like I'm being lazy but I dont want anything to happen to the baby.
Avatar f tn I'm used to working out every day..I used to do INSANITY and P90X but ever since I found out I'm pregnant, I've been nauseous and so exhausted that I've hardly worked out at all. I'm a couple weeks away from my 2nd trimester so I'm hoping to start working out again. Anyone on here working out while pregnant? What kinds of workouts are best?
7998970 tn?1435183202 Walking, exercise ball, little weights, etc are okay, especially if you were pretty active before pregnancy. No hardcore workouts though. time to gain weight lol.
Avatar f tn These equipment-free exercises are convenient for home workouts, but can help you get comfortable in a gym setting. If you're not sure how a machine works ask the personal at the gym. Get the OK from your doctor first.
Avatar f tn for example, if you go to the gym 5 days a week, i would set 2 of those days for focusing on weights or body sculpting exercises while the other 3 could be for cardio workouts. sometimes there are classes available at the gym for both those options, cardio and sculpting. cardio is excellent in that it gets your heart rate up easy. but be sure to change it up and get some interval workouts in while on the cardio machines. you don't want to go at a steady pace, mix it up.
1292058 tn?1294655370 I have been diagnosed wt CYSTOCELE after noticing that there was a problem doing situps and various activities at the gym. My main concern is... how much will my 5 x a week workouts affect my condition ? I have 40 lbs to lose still, can I continue, will it worsen and shouls I get some sort of repair done now ? I am 50 and have not experienced no other side effects.
Avatar f tn Good job on the workout! In the days after your workout you'll experience two different kinds of muscle soreness. Within the first 24 hours of your workout, you might be kind of sore. This is normal--your workout created little tears in your muscles and they need to repair. This is when you rest. You can still go to the gym, as long as you don't exercise those muscles that you focused on yesterday. 24-48 hours after your workout, Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness will set in.
Avatar f tn Once a day is plenty to have a toned figure as long as you vary your workouts and do focused workouts. Make sure you are giving your body time to repair from your workouts. It is easy to push harder and further when you get the results you want. Maybe just ask to see a nutritionist and between that and your trainer set up a good meal plan and workout plan that is safe for you and go with that from here on out.
Avatar n tn Just listen to your body and dont over do it.
1521103 tn?1291102071 Hi, doing heavy weightlifting in the gym especially against the gravity when you are in standing position affect the longitudinal growth of your bones. In my opinion weightlifting while you are on a bench would not produce this effect. For better consultation you may approach your gym instructor.
1667717 tn?1331160810 Is it ok to exercise after an IUI, I had mine on Sunday and my sweet husband doesn't want me to do any exercise.... or too much activity..... So I am wanting to go to the gym but he doesn't think it's a good idea..... Any advice on this??
Avatar f tn Listen there is no easy magic solution to losing weight. When going to the gym do high reps low weight and do the workouts fast without any breaks Lower your carb intake and caloric intake Increase the amount of protein you take in and go running often. There's a difference between training hard and over training your body is made in the kitchen . Lastly a rolles Royce takes 6 months to make and a Toyota takes 13 hours.
Avatar f tn You can continue your workouts just make sure you aren't over doing it and staying well hydrated. I am 15 weeks and I'll spend a hour and a half at the gym still. Just later in your pregnancy you will have to modify your workouts a lot. Can always look up fitpregnancy.
Avatar n tn You can look on YouTube or Pinterest and there are so many great at home workouts that are easy and take very little time, once you think you are ready ask a friend you join the gym with you, going your first time can be scary and having someone else with you at first makes the process less awkward. In terms of staying motivated there are so many great fitness girls on YouTube and Instagram that share there diet tips and workouts for free!! You should definitely look up something like that.
Avatar n tn Hello all, I have noticed recently, during my weightlifting routines at the gym, that I will occasionally get a fluttering sensation in my heart that lasts about 10 to 15 seconds and occurs randomly while lifting weights or doing abdominal exercises, but oddly enough never during cardio workouts such as running or swimming (chance?). These "flutters" are quite worrisome, as I feel as if my heart may not recover it's consistent beat sometimes.
Avatar n tn I try to get to the gym 3 to 4 times a week and yoga at least 5 times a week. Our baby girl lovessss working out, she kicks and kicks.
Avatar f tn I was a gym addict too lol I was told no weighted squats so stay with air squats. If you are you should be good to continue it. I was still working my arms and back real good and haven't had issues. I have done some free weights but that has to do with how good you are at them.
973741 tn?1342342773 But I meant to add, once you start weight lifting, you can't really stop without some sagging -- once you build muscle it goes away if you don't keep working at it, at least for many people. Just be careful at it -- and I'm sure you will, it's mostly the really young who do those crazy nutty things you see people at the gym do.
Avatar f tn After my first baby I became a gym lover and I plan on working out throughtout this entire pregnancy. Im a little nervous. .. thoughts?
