Avatar f tn If you don't like workouts like me, try beach bodys rockin body workout (its kind of like zumba but not as intense). Its super fun and easy. Plus it doesn't look like you're working out, just dancing. Don't let anyone keep you down. You'll get to your goal weight! I believe in you! Same with you morgan1342.
Avatar n tn We could recommend specific exercises, but those two areas can be reached with probably over a thousand different ones, both with weights and without. But they do have to be done correctly to hit the right areas and so you don't injure yourself.
Avatar f tn These equipment-free exercises are convenient for home workouts, but can help you get comfortable in a gym setting. If you're not sure how a machine works ask the personal at the gym. Get the OK from your doctor first.
7998970 tn?1435183202 Walking, exercise ball, little weights, etc are okay, especially if you were pretty active before pregnancy. No hardcore workouts though. time to gain weight lol.
Avatar f tn if you were already exercising regularly then it doesnt hurt to maintain it with in reason...stay hydrated, be careful not to over heat and if you are tired you need to take a break! you may notice that you cant quite keep up the same as before but your body is working like crazy building a baby so try to keep it low impact, and really take it easy but keeping active is very healthy for the pregnancy and i truly believe it helps the labour process... and it increases oxygen to your baby...

1521103 tn?1291102071 Hi, doing heavy weightlifting in the gym especially against the gravity when you are in standing position affect the longitudinal growth of your bones. In my opinion weightlifting while you are on a bench would not produce this effect. For better consultation you may approach your gym instructor.
Avatar f tn I used to do insanity also. I have worked out entire pregnancy and am 35 weeks. I do barre classes, because they have great pregnancy modifications. I also go to the gym and do cardio, core and lift weight. I don't do abs(crunches, etc), lift over 15 lbs or overhead arm workouts all per dr. I believe all have to do with that abdomen problem you can get later on, but keeping at least a light workout and core apparently helps for pushing, which makes sense.
Avatar m tn to eliminate boredom and keep the pounds melting off. Each week you add more reps or another set, which means your muscles are challenged in new ways—and that means new muscle growth and more calorie burn. But if you've hit a plateau, add some cardio to your program. But don't freak out if you hate running or treadmills—you can knock off an effective cardio workout in just minutes. Here are five tips to help avoid weight-loss plateau: Keep things varied with intervals.
Avatar m tn I can't think of any exercises you could do with your hernia
Avatar f tn Buy one good pair that is versatile enough to allow comfy and light running or for gym workouts. I use my Reebok nano for everything.
Avatar n tn You probably did rip a muscle - or even a tendon or a ligament. Were you warmed up when it happened? Using proper form and/or more weight than usual? Was anyone spotting you? You'll need to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment. For now, NO MORE PUSHUPS! Matter of fact, no upper body workouts period. Get some ice on the area for 20 minutes at a time and do that every hour or so if you can work it in. Once the swelling goes down, you can switch to heat therapy.
Avatar f tn I am 6 weeks pregnant. I would like to go for my usual gym workouts. What exercises are safe for my sweet little unborn child?
Avatar f tn s fine because to burn fat you need to use the aerobic system, which you use when you do mild to moderate activity for a longer amount of time. Exactly why you rarely see fat marathon runners. If you are really out of shape, do mild activities for a prolonged amount of time, for example, go for a slow walk for an hour, rather than a brisk walk for ten minutes and you will burn more fat that way. The longer you get the aerobic system working for, the more fat you burn.
Avatar n tn If these beats last more than the immediate period after the excercise, or if you have actual chest pain or shortness of breath, you get dizzy, or if it begins to occur without exercise let your doctor know.
Avatar f tn ) if not it helps to look at YouTube videos ( i like livestrong woman, blogilates and Tara stiles ) or look for apps ( I like nike training club) Hope this helped !
850661 tn?1245666056 I was once told that if you are pregnant you can still work out, but it is different workout. You are not working out to loose weight, you are working out to keep toned. They told me not to work too hard on the legs and build up muscle as it can make for a tougher delivery. Walking or a light run on a treadmill is still ok - just do what you can handle - same with the stepper. I would be ignoring the stomach crunches and the flat out run.
4437866 tn?1388119624 Loved it! I am not a gym person and found I do better in classes....although I live hiking as well. During the summer my husband and I ride our bikes through a huge housing development and around a lake here in town. I thought about taking some karate lessons as well. Did that as a kid and enjoyed it.
Avatar f tn After my first baby I became a gym lover and I plan on working out throughtout this entire pregnancy. Im a little nervous. .. thoughts?
Avatar f tn I am 7 weeks and ran 2 miles yesterday! As long as you don't over do it and push too hard you should be fine. You could always call your dr and ask if you want to be sure.
Avatar m tn t know what it is I stopped my workout once it happened now it feels kind of tender right in the center of my chest I feel it when I take off my shirt what should I do can I return to the gym as usual my workouts were going so well and I don't want to stop going all together what should I do
Avatar f tn When I was pregnant with my third I had been running 1-3 miles daily, after I got pregnant I was worried he would be scrambled eggs...however my doc said as long as you aren't increasing your exercise its ok to reasonably continue your routine..I ran until I was 7-8 months pregnant when one day I just was too tired to run my regular routine.
Avatar f tn Im 17 weeks and still go to the gym and am active still gow far were you when you stopped goong to the gym??
Avatar n tn That's a pretty broad post. Can you afford a personal trainer at a gym? That way you can tell them what you want and they can get you started. You'll only get "huge" legs if you do tons of leg resistance exercises (and if you have the genetic ability to get them without taking steroids, which is unlikely unless you have large legs to begin with).
Avatar f tn I would just reccomend listening to your body and try not to over do it. you will be surprised how quickly you will drop weight.
Avatar n tn Hey all, congrats on your pregnancies! I have always worked out 4-6 days a week (I did the Sweat with Kayla workouts), but since I found out I was pregnant I have switched to walking 2-3 miles like 3 days a week. I feel like I could do more but don't want to push it... Do you guys know what limitations we have on our workouts in the first trimester?
