what has your Vet recommended? is she taking Doxycycline and steroids, SubQ fluids? what????

From what I know about antibiotics, it is not ok to drink beer or any alcohol with Doxycycline. It diminishes the effectiveness of the drug and makes it harder to treat the infection. I believe the Pharmacist will add the warning to the lable. If you seek further assistance, please Google " Doxycyline and alcohol" this will give you a pretty good idea of mixing the two.
I have been diagnosed with IGM as of March 2017. Several biopsies, drainages and started on pred about 4 months ago. I am now tapering down on the pred since I am 12 weeks pregnant. I am on 5mg and a bump has come up and is pushing on the surface. Doctor is gone this whole month and I am not sure what to do. I know that the pred cannot be continue so I guess wait for the bump to develop to abscess and drain it again?

Hello, I was tested positive with clymida and was given a 7 day course of doxycycline and I was retested a week after and came back negatice. My bf started his course of doxycycline the week i did my retest that came back negative, he finished his course of doxycycline 4 days ago. We haven't had intercourse but we did have oral sex today, would we be re-infected?
I was diagnosed with gonorrhea and received a shot (don't know which kind) on December 13th, started Doxycycline the next day, once a day for 7 days ending on the 20th. So that's 7 days after after receiving the shot. I had unprotected sex 4 days after finishing the pills, which is also 7 days after the shot. Is my partner at risk for gonorrhea? And do I need to be retested?
I went to a urologist and he prescribed me doxycycline and did a swab test and checked my prostate with an ultrasound machine (atleast that's what i think it was) and everything was normal. After a week i came back and the swab test was negative, but the doctor prescribed me doxycycline again for a week just in case. The symptoms disappeared, however after 1 or 2 weeks they started coming back and now, a month after, the discharge is white again and the urination is uncomfortable.

whether you swallow or not has nothing to do with your std risk.
the risk of a std from performing oral is very low in general. we don't recommend testing unless you develop any symptoms of which you've had none from the sounds of things.
I recently started Doxycycline 40mg and have been taking it over a month. This helped with everything except my lips. Prior to going for the antibiotics I had used hydrocortisone cream on small areas of eczema that would appear on my neck or forehead. I then used an antifungal for some angular chelitis with temporary decrease in symptoms. I was placed on Tacrolimus ointment that I had no relief from after almost a month, followed by Elidel that also provided no substantial relief.

I took Doxycycline for 10 days to treat a sinus infection. A week after finishing the Doxy I developed a sore throat and sore tongue. I'm assuming it is a reaction to the drug. How long will this stay in my system and is there anything I can take to alleviate the reaction?

t have insurance and/or the money to go get it checked out. then i got sick with allergies and cold symptoms so my sister took me to carenow where i got doxycycline hyclate 100mg 2x a day for 10 days to clear up my sinus infection. right after i stopped taking the doxycycline i went to the dentist for a bad cavitity on my back tooth and got amoxicillin 500mg 3x a day for 10 days. it is possible that those meds not only cleared up what they were prescribed for but the std as well?

Here is a great article about food interactions with drugs sometimes used to treat Lyme and coinfections. I have been on a few of the meds listed in the artIcle, and I was unaware of these conflicts, especially dairy / calcium with the tetracyclines (Doxycycline, Minocycline) & fluroquinolones (Cipro, Avelox, Levaquin).
It also mentions that caffeine, and therefore chocolate, can interfere with some antibiotics, but then doesn't say which ones.

Could that first week of amoxicillin 6 months ago, plus the 3g I took recently, along with the week of doxycycline, change your assessment? Could that amount of antibiotics, plus any I took in previous years, cause heart damage? Or is it still probably anxiety from depleted B vitamins and gut organisms. And would anxiety cause symptoms like chest pain, left arm pain and weird breathing?

Hi there. On At the very beginning of March i slept with a prostitute, it was a drunken mistake, and probably one of the worst mistakes of my life. The very next day i had a tingling irritation in my urinary tract. This went on for a few days, and seemed to be gradually getting more irritated. I took doxycycline for about a week, self presicribed from a friend. This seemed to make it go away. Then roughly a month and a bit later it came back.
I was taken to hospital 4 days ago and given prednisolone and doxycycline after having a tight chest and not being able to get a full breath in. Was on nebulisers etc and sent home.

There's no interactions between vitamins/aminos and suboxone. SSRIs and 5htp/SAMe shouldn't be mixed as the vitamins have an identical effect as the SSRIs. But if your son has just started the sub I would recommend looking into the 5htp/SAMe as well as a multi-vitamin, B complex maybe?
