Now regarding herpes, if someone suspects herpes exposure, if I were to start on Valtrex within 24 hours, would this stop the virus from spreading or in other words kill it as so it cant spread any further. Same goes for taking Doxycycline stop all bacterials in there tracks prior to manifestation.
I have been on doxycycline an antibiotic for about 5 days and i seem to be feeling very anxious and panic like. Does anyone know if this can cause these symptoms. I am also on 25mg of zoloft. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I agree that the doxycycline is likely not causing the headache since it is still present but you are no longer on the medication. If you have a history of headaches prior to the medication, it could be related to your underlying headaches. I would suggest that you visit with your neurologist to have a lumbar puncture (i.e., a spinal tap) performed to rule out infection and increased pressure. I also agree that an MRI of your brain would be beneficial.
Ive just been prescribed doxycycline to cure my chlamydia (i hope finally) and i know i have to take it for seven days and refrain from sex. But after the seven days, am i ok to have sex again with my partner?? do we need to wear a condom?? or will it be cured?

A little over 2 months ago I had a sexual encounter (penis - vagina) with another soldier - unprotected. Later on, my concern was whether or not she may STD; especially after I discovered she had encounters with a few other soldiers here. I never really seemed to have any symptoms of anything until the concern came up. Even then, I never experienced any significant symptoms.
Can we just give him the doxycycline 100mg once a day instead because the medication may cause nausea/vomiting. Also after 3 weeks medication, how do you he is treated ? Any advice !
I was given rocephin 500mg and 7 days doxycycline at 100mg twice daily 2 days after initiating PEP, but am concerned it might be something else causing irritation now.
Is it safe to take the metronidazole and azithromysin course given those measures? AST returned normal. GGT returned normal. Available kidney measures were normal (creatinine just slightly low). Just looking for reassurance of local advise.

i had painless blisters around the trunk of my penis and also in my pubic hair area for 2mos. after taking medication of doxycycline antibiotic it went away. I don't know what kind of infection i got, is it syphilis, herpes or hpv? until now its been a year already and thanks God the blisters are not coming back but im still worried is there any medication i should take to really clear me out if incase there's still virus or bacteria in me? Recent lyme diagnosis. On day 5 of taking doxycycline developed red, pinpoint extremely itchy rash all over body. Doctor had me stop medication and detox. Now day 3 off meds and still have very uncomfortable rash all over. Could this be allergic reactions to doxycycline or a herx? Is it hard to tell the difference? Thank you for your insight.

Ive been on doxycycline for 3 1/2 days, and the discharge has not gone away at all.. may have even worsened. My vagina hurts excruciatingly every time I pee. How long till the pain and discharge goes away?

Exposed to HSV 1&2 two weeks ago, been on Doxycycline for 10 days and Valtrex for 5 days. About noon yesterday, my lips started to swell, inside mouth flesh too, looks red and irritated. Is this par for herpes BO?
One note, after reading online, learned pineapple could cause some issues. I did eat pineapple about 7 AM yesterday morning and it burned like crazy, never experienced that before.

I have finished taking the drugs yet when i go for boel movements i see a cloudy discharge like that of semen coming out furthermore i see dark stains in my white undearwear. Cud u help me out by forwarding this to another urologist for me to find out what cud be wrong since my doctors cant really find the problem.
