doxycycline and tiredness

I just found out that I have lyme disease and The doctor prescibed Doxycycline Hyclate and I am having every side effect from it. Has anyone else had these problems?

but from few days i have pain in my neck region(middle of neck in sides and dorsal portion) and tiredness.....i have no swellng in my neck and fever....can u plz tell me whether these are because of medicine or gonorrhea or is it hiv....my doctor is giving me azithromycin,cefixime and doxycycline....he told me that hiv test is possible after 60 days.....is there any way to find it..??

if you have not had this before it can present as sore throat that is ongoing but is also generally along with fever, and tiredness and you had fever, a mono spot test if you have it would show up positive 2 weeks after symptoms first apparantly.

Doxycycline 100 mgm by mouth twice/day for 6 weeks and then once/day for 3-6 months is a common treatment of blepharitis and meibomian gland disease. It is not so much antibacterial as antiinflammatory and gets into the oild gland. That's the reason its also used for acne. instead, i juz told her my prob and she diagnosed me wif oesophagus reflux(side effect of doxycycline) meanin the acid in my stomach traveled up to my esophagus causing irritation and prescibe me wif anacid. i read somewhere that if i were to take doxycycline, i must not take anacid because it will lessen the effectiveness of doxycycline. so, now i'm at a lost again..

Has anyone had low dose doxycycline (50mg) used for rosacea or used any antibiotic and got severe vertigo 40 minutes after taking it? I'm not an MD and not medically trained, but to my knowledge, doxycycline would not treat a yeast infection. Doxy is an antibiotic that treats only bacteria (including Lyme), not yeast (which is in the fungus family). In addition, antibiotics wipe out not only 'bad' bacteria but also the 'good' bacteria that protect your body against fungal infections. It may be that the receptionist at the MD's office got things confused. I would check to be sure.

see your doctor. and realize that you canNOT treat all STDs and that MDs do NOT have good tests for all STDs. some STDS we just call em when we see them. so they can say "i don't think you have herpes" but then you could have it. unless they do a blood test and for men, then don't have a test for HPV...
