Doxycycline 100 mgm by mouth twice/day for 6 weeks and then once/day for 3-6 months is a common treatment of blepharitis and meibomian gland disease. either ceftriaxone (Rocephin) or doxycycline would abort incubating syphilis, and the two together guarantees syphilis would be eradicated. I suggest you lay off the internet. Had you asked before you treated yourself, I (and most STD experts) would have advised against it. That said, probably no harm will come. Chances of infection were very low for any of the 3 STDs you mention. If you had been exposed, doxycycline would definitely prevent or abort chlamydia and syphilis, but not necessarily gonorrhea. When you started the doxy makes no significant difference.

after 3 day i got burning in the penis. so I went to std clinic and they tretaed me for NSU with doxycycline and flagyl. After that again i went to the clinic with burning in the penis. the doctor told me that ur body is fighting against the infection and will be alright. but the burning sensation now is recurrent. Ive just been prescribed doxycycline to cure my chlamydia (i hope finally) and i know i have to take it for seven days and refrain from sex. But after the seven days, am i ok to have sex again with my partner?? do we need to wear a condom?? or will it be cured?

Later I was given single dose of 1 gm ceftriaxone and 100 mg doxycycline. Although it gave me massive stomach upset and and caused me to have hemorroids and fissures, I completed the course. which did not give me 100% relief. I went to see the doctor again and I was on 2 gm ceftriaxone IV for three days. which certainly did not work. i still had all the symptoms. finally Chlamydia was found out in culture test. Dr gave me 500 mg Azythromycin and 100 mg Doxycycline for 7 days.

Its been three days after I completed my course of Doxycycline and still I feel tired and feverish,also my face is itchy on cheek and around my lips,mild headache,pain in thighs and some times my testicles pain. I went to a Dr. as well and he was no help really he just looked at my lab results and gave me doxycycline and sent me on my way. I have now taken two rounds of doxycycline and planned parenthood actually gave me some more but it has not helped up to this point. Given the negative chlamydia/gonorrhea test result an a negative UTI screen, my doctor determined that I have NGU and has put me on Doxycycline 100mg twice a day for ten days. Welcome back to the forum. This and your previous questions indicate you are way over concerned about oral sex and STDs. As discussed in the other threads, the risk of all STDs is very low from oral sex, and zero risk for some. Accordingly, it was a mistake for you to take doxycycline. You probably didn't prevent anything, and I even thin it is likely that your current red spots are indirectly due to that treatment. Apparently you are uncircumcised, yes?

ve been having back problems when I wake up along with testicle discomfort that moves from my right testicle to my left. No std detected all ultra sounds of testicles and prostate and bladder came back normal. Very confused what this is.

I took a 7 day course of doxycycline, 7 day course of metronidazole, shot of penicillin g, and a shot of Ceftriaxone.
