My doctor wants me to consider going on the MP so I'm doing research on it now. I don't want to discontinue my estrogen it has helped me alot. Has anyone been able to continue their estrogen while on ?
He told me the Suprax/Cipro would treat potential gonorrhea and Doxycycline would cover NGU and other non sexual bacteria. I have a weeks supply of Cipro, however, he told me it wasn't necessary
I took the Suprax and Cipro last night. In the middle of the night I went to urinate and noticed a clear substance covering my opening. It was very slight, however, could be described as a clear perhaps sticky discharge. It has not returned today. I am still experiencing painful burning urination.

2 years ago I had sex with a woman without a condom and 3 month later I developed reactive arthritis(RA). It seems that I had a chlamydial infection since I did the antibodies and they were very high. I did not have any genital symptoms but when the reactive arthritis occured I had swollen knees and a lot of pain.
t describe joint pain or inflammation, but RA is often accompanied or preceded by NGU and by certain kinds of inflammation of the penile skin, especially the glans (called circinate balanitis). Further, RA can be triggered by intestinal and rectal infections, so there could be a connection with the diarrhea that you had earlier. Your dermatologist would be an excellent source of care to consider these possibilities.

I went to a Dr. as well and he was no help really he just looked at my lab results and gave me doxycycline and sent me on my way. I have now taken two rounds of doxycycline and planned parenthood actually gave me some more but it has not helped up to this point. It's just that the infection has lasted for so long doc thats what worries me. It seems my symptoms get worse after alcohol as well but not sure if that matters.

As far as we know, no STDs of the mouth and throat have triggered RA, and it is exceedingly rare to acquire any oral STDs by cunnilngus -- and chlamyida probalby never, by far the most common STD trigger. And as I said, a one week trigger interval is too short.
Unknown condom failures are not rare, so I would not ignore your past sexual exposures as potential sources of urethral chlamydia, NGU, or (less likely) gonorrhea that has now triggered RA.
My doctor has run blood work for RA Factor, SED Rate, ANA and Vitamin D. Vitamin showed deficient at 30 and after 4 months of treatment my level 2 weeks ago was up to 70 so I was taken off the vitamin D. While on the Vitamin D, I felt MUCH BETTER - almost 100% normal. Now after just 2 weeks though, I'm back to severe fatigue, joint pain and now some tingling in my chin and fingers.
Could this actually be RA?

M A 57 YEAR OLD FEMALE SED RATE 2 , 8 YEARS RA PATIENT FEELING GOOD ON METHOTREXATE INJECTIONS AND HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE AND I WANT TO GET OFF MED FOR A BREAK IN MY SYSTEM FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS.
A possible link between MS and RA is being worked out. Both MS and RA are autoimmune disorders with genetic and environmental factors playing their role. Basically having one disease is found to predispose to the other.

I have PTSD, lost hearing due to TET, sleep apnea, ED, neuropathy, alcohol and drug abuse. Now I have a failing immune system and RA. My life has been a mess for years ever since being in country. I was a Seabee and worked on damns etc. in Vietnam. I drove guys to the fields and was exposed to agent orange. I was diagnosed at age 65 which is unusual for RA. No one in either side of my family has ever had RA.
Doxycycline 100 mgm by mouth twice/day for 6 weeks and then once/day for 3-6 months is a common treatment of blepharitis and meibomian gland disease. It is not so much antibacterial as antiinflammatory and gets into the oild gland. That's the reason its also used for acne. There is a new product that is specific for blepharitis but I don't have the details or brand name. None of these cause floaters.
instead, i juz told her my prob and she diagnosed me wif oesophagus reflux(side effect of doxycycline) meanin the acid in my stomach traveled up to my esophagus causing irritation and prescibe me wif anacid.
i read somewhere that if i were to take doxycycline, i must not take anacid because it will lessen the effectiveness of doxycycline.
so, now i'm at a lost again..
I was just diagnosed with lyme disease and will be taking Doxycycline for 30 days. Can anyone tell me if I must avoid dairy entirely or just avoid it a couple of hours before and after taking this antibiotics?

either ceftriaxone (Rocephin) or doxycycline would abort incubating syphilis, and the two together guarantees syphilis would be eradicated.
I suggest you lay off the internet. You're obviously very anxious about all this, and in that state of mind you will only find information to inflame and prolong your fears. All is well; nothing bad is going to come from this.
Does it occur when you're breathing? Are you short of breath?
