m kinda worried cuz I later got to find out that antibiotics affect the rate of effectiveness of oral contraceptives. Though after using the oral contraceptive I haven't used the antibiotic now for bout 24hours. Can I continue with the antibiotics? Would the postinor have worked? I need to be sure of whether I might need to take further actions and what actions please if that's the case.
There seems to be a connection with Crohn's pain and oral contraceptives, so the same might hold true with estrogen replacement.

I think that there are alot of options open to you besides birth contol pills or taking oral meds....like Brooke said almost all pills have such a risk of clots manifesting themselves especially if you have a family history of blood clots the % goes up for incidence. You may want to look at all other options out there for you besides taking "the pill" and i know there are many of them out there.
Breakthrough bleeding(bleeding while taking the active pills of combined oral contraceptives, or other hormonal contraceptives),spotting and changes in menstrual flow are common side effects after starting the oral contraceptives and they are frequent while taking the triphasic contraceptive(orthotricyclen). i have an irregular cycle of menstration. i have taken oral contraceptives for the first time last week, 2 days after i had an intercourse using withdrawal method. but it only lasted in only aminute i think then we immidiateley removed it. then i took oral contraceptives 2 days after. 4 pills in the morning and 4 more pils afte 10 hours. i read in some articles that 1 week after taken the oral contracepives, you are going to have a withdrawal bleeding.
acetaminophen for the pain is OK. hemangiomas are not caused by oral contraceptives nor are cysts. adenomas and FNH lesions in the liver are. I am 43 years old, I used oral contraceptives for more than 7 years. Now, I have this yellowish fluid discharges in my left breast nipple for about 4 years now. If you have higher degree of damage, I would recommend avoiding all oral contraceptives. You are correct, they are hard on the liver and sometimes cause liver damage and elevated LFTs even in healthy women. Recommendation not to take them if you have liver disease is a very sensible one.
Try other methods of birth control that don't involve hormones. They do work and work well when used correctly.

I have been using doxycycline, I have had trouble urinating still I had oral sex about 3 months ago. First my penis was going numb and then it went away.
I had sex with my girlfriend within the time frame of me receiving oral and feeling the onset of symptoms I then went into a walk-in clinic where the physician diagnosed me with doxycycline for 7 days. I felt as if they were working and by the end of the 7 days felt normal. About 5 days later I felt the pain in my restocked, groin, lower abdomen and lower back return.

Micronor (noretindrone) is a Progestin-only birth control medication. One of the primary side-effects of progestin-only oral contraceptives is irregular menstrual bleeding. This is a normal occurrence for some women taking birth control pills.
They treated me for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia while sending the test off (only vaginal swab). They gave me a shot and 4 zithromax and 4 other anti fungal type pills. Well they also prescribed doxycycline. I started taking it. Raging yeast infection! Well i took the doxycycline for 5 days before my ex fiance wanted to come back. We were together sexually on the 19th. No oral. (The gonorrhea and chlamydia test came back negative....vaginally) im scared to death it could still be in my throat.
Oh, and have you taken different oral contraceptives each time? If so, that might also be a factor. If things don't get back to normal within the next couple of months, you may want to just make an appointment with your doctor.
Hi Kate, antibiotics can definitely effect 'oral' contraceptives but i am unaware of antibiotics being a reason for periods to come mid cycle.....if your talking about having one of the implant forms of contraceptives, i would suggest you consult with your doctor about your irregular cycle.
Overall, however, the risks of endometrial and ovarian cancer appear to be reduced with the use of oral contraceptives, - whereas the risks of breast, cervical, and liver cancer appear to be increased.
