doxycycline and nausea

I did stop her taking the Doxycycline last night but today she still has some chest tightness and her eyes are still quite swollen and puffy. She has only missed one dose so far, so I am waiting. She did also have flu-like symptoms as well. I am consulting her dermatologist today to get a new antibiotic but I am not sure which way to go. It appears that she is allergic to quite a few antibiotics. Again, Thank You very much.

Now, we counted from the time she got her period (the effect of the ECP to the time where she should have a regular period) and the result was she is getting delayed, she is already on her 3rd day being delayed prior to that she is experiencing nausea for the past 2 days, however she also mentioned that she was taking doxycycline for her acne and i have read that it can cause some side effects including nausea.

I'm not an MD and not medically trained, but to my knowledge, doxycycline would not treat a yeast infection. Doxy is an antibiotic that treats only bacteria (including Lyme), not yeast (which is in the fungus family). In addition, antibiotics wipe out not only 'bad' bacteria but also the 'good' bacteria that protect your body against fungal infections. It may be that the receptionist at the MD's office got things confused. I would check to be sure.

Can we just give him the doxycycline 100mg once a day instead because the medication may cause nausea/vomiting. Also after 3 weeks medication, how do you he is treated ? Any advice !

The headache improved a little after stopping initially, but there is still a definite pressure in the top and back of my head that is bothersome and has not gone away after 2 months of stopping doxycycline.

I was given doxycycline to treat a head cold after 4 days of treatment i was starting to have some side effects eg. acid reflux,loss of appetite, nausea, and a few more. I was directed to continue taking the doxycycline and after I took the first pill, I began to get a severe headache and nausea. The headache became so severe I went to the ED. They performed a CT Scan which was normal and a Lumbar Puncture Opening Pressure 22. After the LP, the head pressure resolved for 3 weeks. The head pressure returned and Ive had normal MRI/MRV/MRA/CT Sinus scans. I had 3 more lumbar punctures with no relief. The second OP was 18, third OP was 24.

see your doctor. and realize that you canNOT treat all STDs and that MDs do NOT have good tests for all STDs. some STDS we just call em when we see them. so they can say "i don't think you have herpes" but then you could have it. unless they do a blood test and for men, then don't have a test for HPV...
