i was given doxycycline and more metronidazole and finished these about three weeks ago. the tests results for stds and candida all came back negative, but the sympoms are still present.
i am going back to the gum the next time i can get away from work, but no one has been able to tell me what kind of infection this is or what kind of treatment will work. i would think it was only bv but the doctor said that it was an infection of some kind.
i went back to my GP and he gave me another round of azithromycin 1g, 2g metronidazole and a 10-day course of doxycycline, 200mg a day in a single dose. again i finished the course, but the symptoms won't go away. he gave me another round of azithromycin 1g. after that i had another 10-day doxycycline course together with 2g metronidazole. still the symptoms are there.

I recently engaged in unprotected vaginal sex with a woman of unknown status and in the following week developed symptoms of mild dysuria, penile itching, and a clear mucus-like discharge that became cloudy briefly. I went for an STD panel where I was diagnosed with a chlamydial infection (all other tests were negative). I was prescribed 1g azithromycin single dose, however after 2 weeks the symptoms didn't resolve.
Right now im on metronidazole and doxycycline. And its giving me now 3 days diarrhea. Its making me feel sick. I really wnna stop the medication but im afraid it might get worse on the future, i think the meds (antibiotics) making me feel weak.
I took a 7 day course of doxycycline, 7 day course of metronidazole, shot of penicillin g, and a shot of Ceftriaxone.
A week after the Azythromycin and Cefixime course, symptoms were still present and my doctor prescribed me a 10-day course of 200mg doxycycline twice a day, which I finished. Symptoms were on and off during this period. I went back to him after that, and he eventually gave me a 2g dose of metronidazole for trich. Symptoms went away 3 days after that.
t work according to my retest, so I took Doxycycline and according to the results from the test last Saturday- I am now free and clear of both Chlamydia and Gonarrhea. However, I have this new type of discharge that happens in the morning. The discharge appears similar to semen but it can't be. Urination is painful. hello, I have recently had a urine test and tested positive for ngu, been prescribed metronidazole, ciprofloxacin & prescribed myself with doxycycline tablets after research on the web. 1 day after i start medication I notice a rash in the head of my penis, it doesn't itch or irritate me, If I hadn't of seen it I wouldn't of knew it was there? can this be a side effect of by medication, or any other sti?
A couple weeks later, my urethritis and drip gets even worse and I start to have full on discharges.I get tested yet again, and I bring girl #1 with me. She's had absolutely no symptoms. She was even examined and the doctor said she looked fine.We both get Doxycycline and I feel better.Tests were negative.I then continued to have unprotected sex with girl #1 and everything is normal.A couple months later I start having sex with girl #2 again.
Now that I have started metronidazole should I just stop on the 4th day, and wait for the new doxycycline plus metronidazole regime? That is, will taking another 3 days of it without the doxycycline make me build up a resistance to it or should I stay the course and see if another 3 days helps. I'm concerned about the testing I'm receiving (and confusing results) and it perhaps has alot to do with communicating with non-native English speakers( us not understanding each other).
I also had blood tests (for HSV, HIV and syphilis), these also came back negative. I have taken a two week course of doxycycline and a week of metronidazole (not at the same time). My symptoms neither improved, nor subsided with these antibiotics.

Why does my penis still burn?
I have been on multiple courses of antibiotics, starting with the standard azithromycin single dose, then double dose, doxycyline for 7 days, doxycycline for 7 days plus metronidazole for 5 days, doxycycline for 7 days plus something else for 5 days, and finally erythromycin at 500mg 4 times a day for 21 days. I've just finished the erythromycin and the symptoms (clear discharge and slight burning/tingling) have come back.

When itching started i was prescribed napamol and prednisonethe went away but it is back i am left with a day to finish antibiotic cause...

The smell was gone so I thought it healed even though there were still discharge,I had a boyfriend short after that and everytime weve been together he got urethritis and treated with doxycycline but I still had symptoms and that problem repeated every time even we had protected sex or just with kissing. New symptoms like pain during penetration or pain while I'm on my period -which i didnt have normally- and sometimes small pelvic pains appeared.
I got tested positive for gonorrehea and the next day I got injected and was given 2 antibiotics (200mg doxycycline and 500mg metronidazole) I finished everything the 4 of July. I have to go back and get retested next month to make sure everything is okay. This past Sunday I had sex with a new partner and I'm terrified that I got him infected just bc I haven't had my check up. Yet! What are the chances of him getting infected even thou I finished my treatment ?

By about the 16th or 17th day after this I noticed the same clear discharge as before but now a bit more copious with a slight white tint. I came home from work one day and there was definately a good amount of discharge...unlike before. I also am now experiencing burning during urination (nothing overwhelming, but definately new) and some pain in my testicles.
Well after still had same symptoms so put in for another treatment this time metronidazole and doxycycline hyclate. Had a pee test and came back negative after first treatment that was mind blowing cause i still had all symptoms. So getting another test tomorrow but definitely worried because gonereah and clap are easy to fix and here it is after two treatments I'm still having problems.
I was recently diagnosed with NGU and was prescribed doxycycline 100mg bid for 7 days. My physician said to abstain from sex until all the medication was gone. That is exactly what I did. I ended up having sex 4 to 5 hours after I took my last dose of doxycycline on day 7. Did I put my partner at risk by having sex so soon after treatment? Also, I took 13 out of the 14 pills. (I choked one of the pills back up and spit it out). Would that have an impact on the meds efficacy?
Nothing really changed so I went to see a different doctor who told me I must have gonorrhea (without testing) and he told me to take a ceftriaxone shot+7days of doxycycline+10 days of metronidazole to clear all infections.
Now i am in day 4 all the improvement happened in the throat but nothing in the penis...what could this be? anyone familiar? can it be stressed related?
Whether you actually need the metronidazole or azithromycin, or needed the ceftriaxone (Rocephin) and doxycycline, is another story. I'm inclined to believe you did not. The azithromycin and doxy cover exactly the same infections, so certainly both treatments are unnecessary, no matter what sexual exposures you have had.
