I am now taking doxycycline which was for my acne and I want to know if it will cure syphilis if touch wood I got it. I was very worried when I have rash develop on my chest, and start to think a lot. Do u think I may get infected? Am I safe with the condoms?
I have been prescribed Nystatin rinse with little or no effect, and Diflucan 200mg first day and 100mg for six following days. All no resolution. I have had three HIV tests August 11, 2008, August 29, 2008 and October 10, 2008 all negative. I did take a course of antibiotics for three weeks in mid-August to early September including Doxycycline. Two questions, is it typical for oral candidiasis to be tough to clear up?
3 weeks after exposure had two small raised red bumps on my shoulder which made me go insane as it matched every description of a HIV rash(can it be due to the antibiotics?)..and then a few blisters in my mouth.I tested tridot after 2 weeks -ve.. Should I get tested again.. I know I m going against all logical explanation.just need a closure on this.. I have been ruining my life obsessing over this.
Why should I repeat the answers I already gave? It is pointless to test for STDs after those antibiotics; they would have cured any infection and therefore the tests would be negative. You could not have caught HIV and don't need testing for it.

I was tested for chlamydia, ghonnore,hsv,ebv,Hep,Hiv at 11 week mark and all neg. Symtpoms have persisted so I have tested for HIV with an ELISA blood drawn at 11 and 14 weeks and rapid test at 17 and 20 weeks mark and all negative. I am trying to move on but the symptoms persisting is not allowing me to do so and I am afraid that I have contracted HIV. I have taken two rounds of doxycycline and still symptoms persist as well as tetracycline. My questions are: 1.
They treated me for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia while sending the test off (only vaginal swab). They gave me a shot and 4 zithromax and 4 other anti fungal type pills. Well they also prescribed doxycycline. I started taking it. Raging yeast infection! Well i took the doxycycline for 5 days before my ex fiance wanted to come back. We were together sexually on the 19th. No oral. (The gonorrhea and chlamydia test came back negative....vaginally) im scared to death it could still be in my throat.
had cbc done which was also normal, got tested for hep a,b,c neg, ebv, hsv, hiv, and all came back neg. I had another hsv and HIV test done at 14 weeks which was elisa and came back neg. The only reason I am on here is because I went to planned parenthood last week and had a 17 week or 4 month rapid test done and was neg but they took a urine sample and said there was an infection present in my urine but could not tell me what it was. --- Test 1 was useless as the local doctor mistook the findings and told me I had UTI. Ergo, after 1 week of self medication with doxycycline I stopped and continued UTI medications for 2 weeks.
We had protected sex (oral and vaginal) but I still have questions regarding HIV. I am afraid I may have not notices tears, etc. in the condom, but to the best of my knowledge there weren't any.
I have been taking doxycycline hyclate for several weeks, would symptoms (e.g. sore tendons in the back of mu legs, momentary soreness in muscles, white filliform papilae) show up sooner (i.e. within 3-5 days) than the normal period?
I have been sick and my doctor ordered me to take a regiment of medication being prednisone, doxycycline and furosemide. I have been on the prednisone for 2 weeks now and he has ordered me to take 5 mg every 8 hours (he gave me 80 pills)

First, the negative HIV test 10 weeks after the first exposure proves you didn't catch HIV at that time. It doesn't matter what symptoms you had afterward or how high or low the risk was; the test result is proof. As for other STDs, the exposure events were virtually zero risk, regardless of the fingering and touching you describe.
s genital secretions and menstrual blood with intact skin of your penis, groin, etc; the doxycycline would have cured any and all likely infections from such exposure, with the exception on herpes (which your test results prove you didn't catch); and your repeated testing -- with far more tests than warranted in this situation -- show you didn't catch anything.

I received oral sex unprotected for less than a minute from a sex worker about 10 weeks ago. I took antibiotics prophylactically for a week afterwards with levaquin and doxycycline. I had unprotected sex with my partner 5 days after the incident (had been taking antibiotics). I was never symptomatic with any pain or discharge.
I then had sex two weeks later. following this still no symptoms. Then 7 weeks later I had sex again.

I recently engaged in unprotected vaginal sex with a woman of unknown status and in the following week developed symptoms of mild dysuria, penile itching, and a clear mucus-like discharge that became cloudy briefly. I went for an STD panel where I was diagnosed with a chlamydial infection (all other tests were negative). I was prescribed 1g azithromycin single dose, however after 2 weeks the symptoms didn't resolve.
Most Austailian brotels are liscensiced and as part of this, sew workers employed by them are regualrly tested for HIV and other STDs, as a result, there is little risk for infection of any sort.
Further, there is no risk of any blood borne infection from any other the activities that you describe, even with a cut on your hand- still no risk.

The only exposure I made was insertive oral sex from a man, there are a lot of pimple look alike appearing in my body from my back and my chest, and it was cured by doxycycline, but 3 months later it now starting to appear in my legs, w/c made my anxiety came back, I am not really sure if it is syphilis and it kinda resemble as syphilis, it doesn't itch but with look like a pus in the center.. I might afraid that if I have syphilis I also have HIV.. I never had sex.
Could you please tell me what type of STI this could be, i took doxycycline, cipro, and one more antibiotic for which i don't remember the name.
Now i don't feel these symptoms anymore, but now i face new series of symptoms like, itching all over my body, stomach problems like bloating and gas and very little pain in my neck. I went to see urologist, he said there is nothing to worry about.
