i thought that it could haf been the medication and it didnt go smoothly down my throat. but thinking bak, i rem drinking a full glazz of water after taking the medication so how was it possible?
i woke up the next morning and still had a little feeling that something was stuck there but it was mild. the moment i started eating, drinking and even blurping, i had this really intense pain in my throat or rather esophagus between my chest area.

It was my understanding that you could drink moderately with most ATB's. But to double check I did some searching on the internet. The following is from a trusted web site.

It worked for about a week and then the burning came back. The doctor then gave me doxycycline( 10 days 2 pills easch day) and said that this should work. It works a little but he said it might take a week and its been six days. I have a couple of questions.
1. I've been doing alot of heavy drinking the past couple of days, would that affect the effects of doxycycline?
2. Would it make my penis kinda sore too? The diflucan did and then the burning went away.

ve been taking doxycycline for acne on my back for a few weeks (50 mg twice daily). The doxycycline was prescribed for inflamed pimples on my back, which would be sore and red. Each individual pimple would go away on its own but I would generally have a couple new ones every week.

Well, I caught something on February 22nd of this year after receiving oral sex. I'm male by the way. I have tested TWICE for Chlamydia/Gonorrhea and came clean and one test for NGU which I came clean. I was first given Zithromax 1.5g over three days which helped the discomfort in my urethra. In addition to the irritable urethra, there was a strong burning sensation on the surface of the glans and part of my foreskin.
I have been trying to find for the past 2 years what this outbreak of red spots are on my legs and thighs. They do not itch and they do not hurt but they are just ugly I first noticed them on my lower legs (between ankles and knees) after the birth of my son. They have been slowly spreading to my thighs. it does sound antibiotic candidasis, im using a antifungal cream and antifungal powder, and its controlling it, im also drinking baking soda to help the yeast inside of me, and im taking garlic pills. plus i am drinking nothing but water and cut out alot of sugar, so im hoping in due time, it will help.
I was fine up until then but also started experiencing burning pee the next day. No discharge. I went to a clinic and they gave me a shot of penicillin and a single dose of Azithromycin. That was the Monday but by the Saturday nothing had changed so I went to a doctor. He tested for any UTI infection but it was clear. Gave me a single dose Cifixme 400mg and a 7 day course of Doxycycline. By the following Friday I still had the burning sensation so I went to a second doctor.
Doxycycline 100 mgm by mouth twice/day for 6 weeks and then once/day for 3-6 months is a common treatment of blepharitis and meibomian gland disease. It is not so much antibacterial as antiinflammatory and gets into the oild gland. That's the reason its also used for acne. There is a new product that is specific for blepharitis but I don't have the details or brand name. None of these cause floaters.

The next day I started experiencing frequent urination but no pain. The next morning I took 500mg of doxycycline and 500mg later that night. Would 2 x 500mg of doxycycline fight off anything that was setting in? The urination improved a bit the next day but not fully...Still no pain...Any reason to get tested?

see your doctor. and realize that you canNOT treat all STDs and that MDs do NOT have good tests for all STDs. some STDS we just call em when we see them. so they can say "i don't think you have herpes" but then you could have it. unless they do a blood test
and for men, then don't have a test for HPV...
I have been on doxycycline an antibiotic for about 5 days and i seem to be feeling very anxious and panic like. Does anyone know if this can cause these symptoms. I am also on 25mg of zoloft. Thanks for any help you can give me.
I have horrible acne and was prescribed doxycycline. I take orthrotricyclen, does anyone know if they interfere?
