Does suboxone give you energy

Common Questions and Answers about Does suboxone give you energy

Avatar n tn """there is no tolerance with Suboxone, as 6 mgs is the same as 32 mgs in effectiveness. Tolerance does not apply to Suboxone""" HAHA!!
Avatar m tn It sounds like you're doing all you can. Give some time, you'll keep feeling better. Are you in any kind of aftercare?
Avatar n tn But from what I'm reading, sounds like its not so easy. Marestorm, are you happier taking the suboxone than you were before you got help and do you feel like you've accomplished a lot staying away from your d/o/c? So far, would you reccomend this route for others who are struggeling to be sober, such as myself?
Avatar n tn It has definitely helped me get my life back together. It wont get you HIGH but it will give you a very mild opiate feeling, just enough to keep you motivated and not to much to where you crave it like crazy. Some people amy have different opinions, but for me it has been wonderful. Find a doctor near you and get your life back.
884943 tn?1241662998 Because when you run out of the suboxone you have left and you are on day 3 or 4 off, you will not be temped to call your doctor and tell him that you just cant make it and ask him for a refill. DON'T HAVE ANY LAYING AROUND THE HOUSE EITHER. Get rid of all of them. Your brain will do this amazing thing and actually help you through it alot easier because you know that there is no option of taking a pill. I would never have made it without doing this because I was just too weak to say no. *2.
Avatar n tn I wonder does that go away?. I think maybe its like when someone close to you dies, you think about nothing but that at first, but as time goes bye, one day you realize you went a whole day without thinking about them, then a week........I hope and pray it is like that. As long as Chase and I have each other I feel we will conquer this demon that spun its way so so deep into our lives........... I will update. Thank you all so much for how much you care and for your prayers.....
Avatar f tn I hope someone will come along who can give you the benefit of some experience with Suboxone. It's actually something I've been thinking about trying, except that my physical symptoms really aren't that bad - it's the emotional and psychological part I'm struggling with. I'd be interested to know if Subox helps with the panic attacks, depression and despair.
1909146 tn?1326509308 Then here you go! Be sure to stock up on everything you need. This does seem so much like a cold/flu that you shouldn't have any trouble if anyone notices you're sickly. Keep in touch!
Avatar n tn From what I can find, it does give addicts in w/d some of their energy back and can help ease depression. As I further research it, the drug seems to be a very long term solution to opiate addiction. The makers claim it supresses the w/d's, reduces cravings and blocks the effects of other opiods. It also seems to postpone the inevitable. Seems like it could help some addicts, but where does it end?
Avatar m tn You don't get the full stimulation that comes from full opiate agonists like Percocet, Vicodin or OxyContin. This may be particularly important to you. Suboxone may only be a partial agonist but it's ability to bind to the receptor is extreme. If Suboxone is given to someone using full agonist opiates the Suboxone will push those meds off the receptors and Suboxone takes its place.
Avatar f tn Yes many people get on and stay on suboxone for years. It does and can become another addiction. He needs to be sick and tired of being sick and tired. The suboxone is still in control he isn't. Does he live with anyone? If he hasn't dealt with his demons and why he abused drugs in the first place and is still on the suboxone 4 years later he isn't ready to make the necessary steps to change his life. Have you attended any alanon or naranon meetings? How long was he in rehab?
Avatar f tn did you find that suboxone helped your pain while you were on it? i get relief from my everyday pain, but it does NOTHING for my flare ups...i have fibromyalgia. i was just wondering..
Avatar n tn Having been to rehab twice and being on maintenance suboxone I can give one big piece of advice for when you start. Try to be in deep widthdrawels when you start and see the doctor. The suboxone will work soo much better if you are in widthdrawels. You asked how the transition went and with being in widthdrawels it went very well. By being in that state a person can start feeling better in 30 minutes and the sub works more efficeiently when suffering widthdrawels.
480035 tn?1222369764 has it's does sub..I am very glad that you posted know i think you oh yeah..and I am riding on that softail..
Avatar m tn after a week, you'll experiance the same symtoms of withdrawels as you would have at a week, if you had gone cold turkey. So you can expect, lack of energy, maybe some sleeplessness etc. Suboxone will not help with the mental part of the addiction......that is something you'll need to work on. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
Avatar n tn drug users, i too was concerned about about the naloxone?, but my doctor and numerous sites about suboxone have stated that it does not effect you at all whatsoever if put under your tongue and used the proper way, but at the same time i also heard of people having ultra sensitivity to naloxone and were unable to continue on suboxone for that reason. and by the way i am new to this site too...
Avatar f tn I am sure you are on your way to finding the one you love again as suboxone saved my life.
717440 tn?1292747342 Get good medical advise and if you have tried everything else Suboxone may work for you... it also can provide you with a bit of "normalcy" to get your life semi-back to normal, no stealing, working, going to aftercare is paramount.. It too tho can also be abused, as most drugs, the primary goal or attempt, is that you really want to quit, and all of the other methods i.e. treatment havent been able to keep you clean, including aftercare.
306455 tn?1288865671 You can't get high off of Suboxone, nor can you can high if you use other opiates while on Suboxone. To do so, will make you sick. Suboxone is addictive, when taken for longer than (approx) 21 days. But can be weaned off of with very little discomfort compared to other opiate withdrawels. Suboxone should be tappered from. Suboxone amount does not need to be increased as time goes on. Instead, you decrease your dose slowly. Suboxone also can help with some pain issues.
Avatar m tn Please let me know what you think, I greatly appreciate every single one of you. To you everyone that is making the decision your are doing the right thing. It is so worth it. Besides my energy I see my old self coming back, and its great. Best wishes and God Bless.
Avatar m tn Does suboxone give people energy or give them some kind of lift ?
Avatar m tn Tyson is exactly right. Suboxone does get you high. Especially, if you weren't addicted to anything when you first take it or if you haven't done any other drug at all. If you do have addiction to something else when you begin taking it, it takes a little while to begin to notice the high, unless you take a large amount. While on Sub, if your up running around doing things, it's kind of like a speed, (Not as good as real speed though smh.), it gives you a boost of energy.
Avatar f tn The pills do make you depressed... especially when they don't give you a high anymore. What's the point right? When I was at my max I would get so down on myself and felt like a loser. It IS depressing. Are you ready to quit... and feel like yourself again? This place is great for support on detoxing off pills and aftercare. The people here are very caring. We would need to know what your plan is from here on out. Cold Turkey, Tapering, etc.
Avatar m tn never give up!! God helps those who help themselves, and if you have made it this far You can survive this... I have been thru hell and learned that it is the best detterent to future misery. may all of you suffering stay strong and be as blest as me...
434480 tn?1242659346 So even if you felt sick befoer you still do have some of the drug in you, and when you take a Suboxone you will instantly go from having say 50% of what your body needs per day, to having 0% of what your body needs. This will leave you sick. If you were a very heavy user you would notice this much much worse, it happened to me, and that is what put me in the hospital.
1468549 tn?1286754387 I am 11 days off of Suboxone and you think you feel good now just wait til you are off it!!!! It is the best! I jumped off at 2mg and the WD's were NOTHING like I was told they would be. So the difference between Suboxone and Subutex .Suboxone contains a second medication – naloxone – that is added to the formulation to keep people from abusing the medication. Coming from a person who uses the needle I can say from experience that it does NOT send you into WD's if shot up.
1428440 tn?1287393979 I decided to leave the medical field and begin working as an International Flight Attendant for the Military- I had to get out of the methadone clinic, which lead me to suboxone. Suboxone was designed to be a dual based treatment approach. What it does is gives you a reprieve from the constant obsessing of our addiciton, as well as the constant withdrawals so that we can focus on the primary cause of our addiction- Ourselves.
Avatar m tn I hope you have a doctor following you through this. The Clonidine can cause your low energy because it lowers your blood pressure, you should be very careful with it. Try to notice if your lack of energy is related to your Clonodine intake.
