197575 tn?1215532624 My insurance probably won't cover thyrogen shots for my year scan and thyroglobulin test. Does anyone know how much 3 shots would cost me??? I don't look forward to going off my meds for several weeks since it took me 7-8 months to finally feel good after my tt. I was on 8 different synthroid doses until we got it right. I'm on 250mcg. I would rather pay for them then be miserable.
Avatar m tn hey yall- im on sub film strips and i have medicare part D coverage and for 10 oe them i have 2 pay 41 dollars. does this sound right? it cost the same for ten loracets. the sub works its just cost too much!
Avatar m tn Hi again I would like to add that yes we have all see the posts about side effects that some people have experienced. Most if not all are related to treatment with interferon and while the problems those people have experienced are not good they are experienced by a minority of patients. Also I believe at least some of them had other medical conditions which most likely complicated their treatment or their livers were already in bad shape to begin with.
210982 tn?1280983895 My initial visit was $190, plus the cost of the subscription, which with my insurance was $50. But he only gave me two weeks' worth. I ad to go back, pay another $100+ before getting another scrip. Later,a doctor much closer to me (12 miles, compared to 90) began offering suboxone. He actually accepted my insurance, which cost me only about $15 for the office visit, plus my $15 co-pay for the meds.
1831849 tn?1383228392 Most of us are at the mercy of docs and insurance companies when it comes to our treatment. We are often asked to undergo treatment or tests without knowing much about the cost to us. My Tysabri infusions are billed to the insurance company @$6,000 each. I couldn't get an info on MY cost before I started getting them in November. I started them anyway. My out of pocket for the 4 infusions to date is less than $600, my annual out of network deductible.
Avatar f tn If you don't have insurance $100-$150 a visit is about average. I know the company that makes suboxone has a form you can fill out for assistance if you can't afford the actual pills. You can either ask your doctor about this form or go to www.heretohelpprogram.com and give them a call and inquire. If you have insurance www.heretohelpprogram.com has a listing of drs. You just put in your zip code and they all come up. Start calling and see which take insurance.
Avatar m tn Not sure how much your on or if your dosing once or twice a day. Call your doctor, the first time I was on suboxone I experienced some anxiety and the doctor prescribed Vistaril which is not addictive, but does make you sleepy at first. Call your doctor, as I'm sure they'll have some suggestions for you. Hang in there.
Avatar f tn Things are known to be expensive here as well. I am trying to find out how much the suboxone is going to cost monthly. Also I have heard stories of people staying on it for years, but living a happy life. I wouldn't mind that if I wasn't spending a grand a month on Tramadol!! Good luck to you, and let me know how it goes! I will try and send you a message when I get on it and let you know how it is!
Avatar n tn my 23 year old son has been on Suboxone treatment for threemonths and he just got laid off from his job and will be loosing his insurance does anyone know how to get suboxone for free or at least at a miuch reduced cost???
575529 tn?1217655794 I am an alcoholic and have been recovered since 11/16/1991. I am a medic at a treatment facility that has suboxone therapy. The initial fee for our program is $290with a $95 fee to see the doctor each visit thereafter. We do not accept insurance. A client will see the doctor two days in a row, being dosed with our medication on those two days. Each day requires a couple hour commitment. The doctor doses multiple times and observes the clients reaction to the medication.
Avatar n tn Without insurance, it can cost $10,000 or more, depending on how much medication you need. Not sure about how much insurance would cover...I think that depends on your insurance policy. Best of luck!
Avatar m tn I've been on Suboxone for 18 months. It was mostly covered by my previous insurance. I'm on Medicaid now and it is $800 'out of pocket' for a months prescription. Too much. I've filled out some coupon forms but the Pharmacy says it rarely covers a fraction of what it says it does. Anyone know how I can stay on Subs cheaper than $800 month? Thanks in advance for your replies.
Avatar f tn I didnt really know where else to put this, but does anyone know how much is the general cost that it would be to go see someone for help?
Avatar f tn I personally have no experience with suboxone, but drug manufacters all have some kind of assistance program. You have to meet certain income parameters and all that, but it IS available. Check online or ask your pharmacist if they have an 800 number for the manufacturer. It won't hurt to make a phone call and see if they have an assistance program. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I know Temgesic is similar to Suboxone, but at a much lower milligram dose. Does it work basically the same? Has anyone had success with Temgesic? My b/f of 2 yrs. is trying to overcome his Oxy addiction and is now down to 1/2 Oxy (80 mg.) per day (snorting). He has just started a new job, so cannot go cold turkey. The only doctors in Lafayette, LA who prescribe Suboxone are specialists, and he does not have health insurance, nor the money it would cost for that sort of treatment.
Avatar f tn There are treatment facilities that work on a sliding scale. Google "free low cost drug rehab in your city and state. What are you taking, and how much per day, and for how long?
Avatar f tn ve been a week off then honestly the worst of the physical withdrawls are past you. Secondly, Suboxone does help with cravings and depression from addiction, but so does aftercare. You may want to try that first honestly. I took the Suboxone route as a last resort and it should only be used as such. Have you tried to quit before? If this is your first or so time, then stick it out like others above had said.
Avatar f tn I called around, and w/o insurance, the whole thing would cost about $440-$480 with visits + meds. To much for me... I was able to find a doctor who does take insurance for sub maintenance/detox therapy though. To theeagle: Thanks for responding. Could you explain further? I don't have chronic pain so I wouldn't be able to do that. I need it for opiate withdrawal... What do you mean by coding and how does that affect the insurance policy? What information is released?
Avatar f tn When used long term, though, it is the hardest medication I have ever dealt with to detox a patient from. Suboxone does not work like natural opiates; it’s created in a lab and interacts with the receptors in the brain unlike any other opiate. I believe when given long term it causes abnormal adaptations to the opiate receptors and other receptors in the brain.
Avatar n tn and i am pretty sure they will not pay for the medication either, and i am starting to see i cant afford this route, I am in ohio, near columbus, and am desperate for any advice. Also does anyone know how much a prescription of suboxen would cost??
