Common Questions and Answers about Depression test yahoo

Avatar f tn During one of my increasingly frequent depressive moments, I posted a question on Yahoo! Answers detailing my symptoms, and someone said it sounds like I have MS. I have considered it in the past, but the thing that always tells me, "Couldn't be." is the fact that I have this stabbing pain on one very specific spot on the back of my head all of the time. Anyway, I'm just going to copy and paste my question below.
Avatar n tn There is no scientific reason for anyone diagnosed with depression to be given psychiatric drugs for it as there is no proven link between depression and brain chemistry to date.
Avatar f tn He said my symptoms could be from depression/anxiety. He looked at my past labs and says they weren't normal and he did more blood test and then we'll go from them. He says my heart has a murmur and we're testing to see whats going on with that. He seems to care and talked with me, the best I've been to so far.
Avatar n tn Feel lousy last 10 months, had many blood tests everything normal except one liver alt/sgpt test was 71(norm 9-52), second test I am waiting for. I feel tired alot, pale gums, tingles throughout my head. I excerise 3 miles a day, on a good diet, but feel awful. I have ringing in my ears too. I am SOOOOO sick of feeling sick. I have lost 38lbs in the past 12 weeks, but I will feel great one day and like death the next. I am getting scared. HELP???
Avatar n tn hi friends 2day is my 14th day after egg retrievel ,so im very eager to do home pregnancy test,,so friends plzzz tell me weder i can test 2morrow morning ,,r i have 2 wait for some more days
Avatar n tn I've heard that it's possible to have MS with negative test results for a while, early on in the course of it. I'd love it if I really had nothing. But I am getting worse. I've just had another exacerbation. It's a clear exacerbation, my second, clearly different symptoms (maybe linked to that faint enhancing lesion that I thought I saw on the MRI?)????? I just want to know, and want to know what to do now. I'm going to get the second opinion.
Avatar f tn you might have irregular periods and plenty more like... depression...weight gain...ect...look up more abt the depo shot by googling it or by yahoo!!!
Avatar n tn I am NEVER late and was sure THIS WAS IT. Lo and behold the test had a big minus. I cried. I didn't test in the a.m. but it says you don't have to. I am scared to test again just to see another sad result. I feel queasy but maybe I am wishing these symptoms on. How accurate are these tests?? How long should I wait to do it again? Thanks!!
Avatar f tn I am a 34 year old female and live in New Hampshire and tested positive for Lyme. I went to infectious disease yesterday with my lab results in which I tested positive for lyme with western blot IGG IGM I had 7 reactive bands out of 10 and 2 out of 3 on IGM .. I was bitten last year in may by a nymph deer tick and was told I dont need medical attn unless I had a bullseye rash develop. I didn't see and rash so I figured I was fine, and forgot about the tick bite.
244315 tn?1209960351 He was in pain and the doctor wouldn't give him any medicine until he had a liver function blood test. So he got the test and they told him everything is ok with his liver. They told him they don't think it is active because of that but they took some more blood and sent it to the lab to run a different test to confirm that it is not active. Well I am scared to death we are going to find out he has it. It's all I think about. I asked him if he knows any way he could have gotten it.
1211960 tn?1272978102 When my husband was diagnosed with ADD we took one of his at home tests, (given to us by a psychologist,) to determin what type of ADD but it just seemed to be an all out personality disorder test. It asked questions from depression to eating disorders to movement disorders. It appeared to be a good test to give multiple diagnosis of multiple illnesses rather than determine type of ADD. The test was over 50 questions long so my husband never completed it. Not sure if that's the same test.
686899 tn?1227045783 Why are all of my test results showing negative results? I am going back to my normal physician over break for a check up, but are there any alternatives to this chronic pain until my next visit? This discussion is related to <a href='/posts/show/617817'>breathless</a>.
Avatar n tn No medications - no history of thyroid problems - After pregnacy was suffering with severe fatigue - weight gain - brain fog - mild depression - and not post partum - but 6 months after baby. Went to dr. very low iron and low TSH. He wrote these results off as post partum instability with thyroid. Went back almost 1 year to date from baby iron still low TSH even lower - but normal t3 and t4.
Avatar m tn from 2 month ago until now I feel several times a day like my lower lip right side it is like shrink or pulls down suddenly and in each time it last only 2 seconds sometimes 1 second -- I also feeling a light headed from a month but im not worry about it for 2 reasons 1-it happened to to me (the dizzy feeling) 3 years ago and in December 2010 I got a head ct scan with and without contrast and it ruled out brain tumor and bleeding 2-also because after taking some meds I feel better from the dizzy
Avatar f tn When we were in Cleveland for my son, they diagnosed him with POTS and autonomic neuropathy. They weren't able to get a gastric emptying test done while we were there. So, the doctor said she would run it when we return in January or to have our St Louis GI doctor run it and forward results to her. So I called our GI doctor in St Louis, gave a long explanation to the receptionist and faxed over the doctors notes from Cleveland.
Avatar m tn EKGs, ECGs,Pulmonary Function Test, Halter monitor 3-4 times and everythign always checks out normal (Which is great!) But I dont FEEL normal. The symptoms kick in several times a day. Other times I feel completely normal. The symptoms are mild to non-existent through the majority of the day.Late afternoon onward is when they seem to be the most difficult.
Avatar n tn I had taken the thyroid within two hours of the test and I wonder if that skewed the test results. Would a truer picture occur if I didn't take the dose that morning? I never had any hyper symptoms and can't tell you how much better I was feeling. I don't want to go back to that depressive world even for a month of Synthroid trial. What can I tell my doctor, even in the face of "doubled" T3, that the USP thyroid helped me so much?
Avatar n tn It then went on to say don't be concerned because all your other hepatitis related testing was negative and normal(HBsAg, ALT, HCV) your positive test for the anti-HBc indicates a probable past exposure to hepatitis. end of letter Lastly, I would like to know, if you have been exposed to hepatitis in the past and your test is negative, can you still have some symptoms, ie muscle and joint aches.
Avatar n tn 274)and said she needed to lower my meds to 175 mcg. After about 3 weeks on this dose, I noticed an increase in my fatigue, depression, and other symptoms. At 6 weeks, I was retested and found that my TSH hadn't changed and so I was lowered again to 150 mcg. The symptoms worsened and so I (for the first time ever) began researching online and through books to find out what I can do.
Avatar f tn I live at ease with my mother, my father has been present in all years of my life and occasionally comes to visit me every day or week, I have a High School Diploma, and I do not work or go to college yet. I am probably the closest thing to your average teen boy. Sometimes I do get depressed and anxious about the meaning of life, and trying to examine its purpose, however I usually dismiss this idea and just continue living, trying to make the best of my situation.
Avatar n tn s not recognising this even when I have it on a test sheet, plainly shown! They say the ACT Stimulating test rules out needs for treating my form of adrenal problem. How can this be true if I have such proof of the hormone for hypo causing it to do this? and you have to have cortisol levels that help with thyroid hormones. If Dr. Lupo reads this one I hope he can respond also.
Avatar m tn If you want more information to figure out how to go about this, you could consider getting a bit more blood work done. Opt for a free testosterone test with SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) test. A cortisol test can help shed light on stress & adrenal health. Also, testing estradiol (E2) can indicate how your body is converting testosterone &/or excreting estrogen/estradiol. (By the way, if you drink alcohol, this effects your estrogen [& by extension, testosterone] levels.
Avatar m tn Saw that Tammy and reached out again sending a message via Yahoo with similar codependent messages that she sent on Thursday - this time asking if she could bring the devil with her to London. Still very selfish actions, but I was feeling weak and just didn't want this behavior to continue, and felt I could talk to her, so I called her. It actually ended up being a fairly good and honest conversation.
Avatar n tn I have noticed over the last 6 months that my goitre is now pressing on my wind pipe and I feel like I have a lump in my throat at all times as well as extreme fatigue and slight depression, being cold etc. Does my TSH Test mean there is definately nothing wrong with my thyroid or should I be asking for some other tests? Also I read recently that if you have a goitre you should be on some type of thyroid medication is that true?
Avatar n tn I am seeing a doctor right now but just started test..What should I have him test me for? Also please done mention stress or depression. Any person being this sick every day would be depressed. please look beyond that.
Avatar m tn I know what I am suggesting is crazy talk, I am currently on anti-depressants for anxiety and low level depression, but I would really appreciate if you could put my mind at rest, If I was indeed pregnant I would be delivering about right now, so you can imagine my anxiety levels, I keep on imaging twinges in my stomach etc. I keep on reading these stories that women don't realise they are pregnant, never register on a pregnancy and blood test.
Avatar f tn I have had just about every test anyone could think of and in two months will be getting my second MRI. I have seen cardiologist, ENT, 3 neurologist, an neuro otolaryngologist, a psychiatrist, a physiotherapist, 3 chiroprators, and a naturopath. My own GP says he is sorry, but he does not know what else to do. I am dizzy, tired and weak most days of the week and I have young children.
1971551 tn?1325926011 The antibody tests you need to get are Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPOab) and Thyroglobulin Antibodies (TGab) to test for Hashi's; and Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulin to test for Graves. While it's rare, some people do have antibodies for both. Babies must have an adequate amount of thyroid hormones to insure proper growth and development. If your daughter does not take her medication and get her levels stabilized, she may do great harm to her baby.
Avatar m tn I will just go and speak to my doctor, maybe tmr and try to do a stool test..... I am sorry but I am not taht strong to go and test....
Avatar n tn I'm wondering if I might have a thyroid problem. My blood test (TSH)last November was 2.3. One big annoying problem I have is a feeling of something in my throat. I'm emotional, tired, and down-right don't feel like myself. I'm on medication for acid reflex (doctors think that's the throat problem). I also have had a cough for over two years since I had an infection (sinus). I'm just wondering what is the correct number for TSH? I'm going to my GYN in two weeks.
