Avatar m tn ve had the same itching behind my knees and random itching on my thighs, legs and sometimes my buttocks could those random itchings be a form of eczema? how can i suppress it? and do you think a strict diet will prevent it from itching as bad? Avatar m tn dandruff, eczema, and tinnitus. Each of these show signs of some underlying allergies. There are skin allergy tests, blood (RAST) tests, and elimination tests. The latter can take many many months as you eliminate foods from your diet and body products from your regimen to see if there's a reduction in symptoms - most people are patient enough to do this, but is the least expensive. Good luck!
Avatar f tn It started with a spot on my scalp that may have been normal dandruff, or it may have been fungal. Who knows, but it's been a long road since. It has always flaked and when I would scratch, tons of dandruff came off. Over the years, the size of the spot has gotten bigger and bigger and obsessive scratching has taken over my life. To me, I've always scratched until dandruff stopped falling. I felt better once it was all off of me, so to speak. Of course, guilt and shame often followed.

Avatar f tn I suffer so bad from eczema so when i fall pregnant i end up getting it ten times worse due to hormone changes the only thing i can suggest is get a good moisturiser keep using it, it should get a little easier and a good tea tree or dandruff shampoo as these have good cooling down properties which should help itching good luck
Avatar f tn It sounds like you have dandruff- which the selsun blue shampoo should help, but sometimes it can be resistant to anti-dandruff shampoos for various reasons. You could try some other brands (such as head and shoulders) or you could try some home remedies- lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. If that doesn't work, you may want to head back to your doctor to see if the flakes are indications of another medical condition- it could be something like eczema.
1641357 tn?1470495393 I'm almost positive that I have eczema on my face. It's itchy, dry, red, scaly patches on my face mostly cheeks and forehead, but also around the edges of my mouth and sideburn areas. Along my hairline and my head. I've always had a problem with dandruff and i'm thinking it's moreso eczema now than dandruff. While I was pregnant it all went away (which i LOVED!) but now it's back and my face is super red and hurts and I can't stop scratching it!
Avatar f tn IDK perhaps some kind of eczema or psoriasis..if you have a good md perhaps they can help otherwise dermatologist are excellent a these things.. good luck. oh and perhaps look up a natural remedy it may give relief until you get to a doc... i think i read about recommendations of some sort of tea bag..green tea or camomile for rashes?
Avatar f tn Whether or not it is eczema, see the dermatologist to find out what it is. I don't think it came from the vinegar.
