cymbalta

1205402 tn?1268220272 Hello again, I didn't realize you were in Canada. I am not sure if the NFA has a provider search for Canada- I think it's only for US residents. I apologize for the confusion. I would do what you can to try to begin the Cymbalta as well. It is an approved treatment for FMS here in the states, so chances are that your doctor already has it in his/her mind that you may have FMS.
Avatar f tn I just ordered more Cymbalta from Canada who in turn orders it from India. I always get the generic duloxetine from them but this time I also got duvanta.
Avatar f tn I've been on it since April. Out of all I've tried it's the most effective for me. Granted medications work differently for everyone. The one thing I realized this morning on my drive to work is that I haven't felt this good in years. My anxiety is at an all time low, my mood is at an all time high. What stood out is that it's only been the last 1-2 months that I've felt this way. They say medication takes 4-6 weeks to kick in.
Avatar m tn Duloxetine failed the US approval for stress urinary incontinence amidst the concerns about liver toxicity and suicidal events; however, it was approved for this indication in Europe and Canada. Duloxetine alleviates pain associated with diabetic neuropathy and fibromyalgia; however, its efficacy relative to the established treatments, such as anticonvulsants and tricyclic antidepressants, has not been established.
Avatar m tn Ok. So I'm taking Cymbalta. I know it's incredibly stupid what I did, but I was determined. I tried for literally 3 hours to reach an orgasm by masturbating, but couldn't. The Cymbalta isn't in it's activation stage, so I'm told that it could go away? Don't know. My penis is always pushing in. Like when you get an erection... IDK, it's hard to explain. There's no pain.
Avatar f tn Also, when a treatment gets approved in the States, it takes some time for it to be approved in Canada as we are behind the U.S.
Avatar f tn Does anyone have any names of docs in Canada who deal with AD. We were vacationing in Australia, both got bit by jellyfish. I had AD for 3 months and it went away. He still has it after 2 years. He was healthy, young 35 yr old with no health issues. It's crazy, I could make a movie out of our experience. Any help is appreciated.
217229 tn?1192762404 CYMBALTA was initially approved in the United States for treatment of MDD in August 2004. Subsequently, CYMBALTA has been marketed in 59 countries worldwide. During the first 3 years of post-market experience worldwide, it is estimated that over 9.5 million patients have been treated with CYMBALTA, accounting for over 3.1 million patient-years of therapy. Take care of yourself and let us know of any news. All the best to you. You always make me smile!
460185 tn?1326077772 OMG - now I know why I hate taking meds. Cymbalta was approved recently in Canada but I wanted to know how "real" people have experienced it. The only anti-depressant I was able to take was Prozac and after awhile it was no longer effective. Every other anti-depressant has had negative side-effects. Also don't think meds alone help - I need talk therapy at least if I took meds. Maybe I'll just stay depressed. Thank you for responding.
553995 tn?1332018840 Hi, do you live in the US or Canada? I live in Canada. I take Tramadol for long term pain. Tramacet for break through pain. My main FM med is Topiramate (an anti-seizure medication). I take Trazadone for sleeping along with Elavil at night to aid with sleep and pain. I have a lot of problems with IBS so I take meds for that also. There that is my med file. I also am on Thyroid medication.
Avatar f tn It sounds like a problem with your inner ear, actually. It could be caused by a lesion on one of the cranial nerves ennervating the inner ear, or it could be something else entirely. But I think I know the sensation of pressure you're talking about. It makes my head feel a little balloon-like. I agree with redflame - go and get another neuro. I know it's difficult when you're in Canada, but maybe you can see a different one in Halifax.
Avatar f tn I have been on all of those pills. When it comes to ssri's I have been through sooooo many of them. Zoloft didn't work, Wellbutrin made me shake so much I could hardly put my make-up on, cymbalta made my anxiety go through the roof, prozac made me too hyper and anxious, paxil worked then stopped, Anafranil was for my OCD but didn't work, even when I tried it intervenously. I also had combonations of these pills. I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. All I can say is THANK GOD FOR LUVOX...
Avatar f tn Thanks for the response I wil ask my PMP next time I see him if these meds are available in Canada yet. Does anyone know what has been safe to use during pregnancy? We have been trying to conceive our second and are afraid that this might make symptoms worse. Does anyone know?
Avatar n tn Some people have tapered off by opening the capsules and removing half and buying those gel capsules to fill the balance that you are taking out to use the next time since the lowest dose I have heard of is 20mg but I know in Canada we dont have that and 30mg is the lowest. the thing with Cymbalta is it worked really well with my anxiety but was causing a lot of other bad symptoms that is the reason I came off it.
712568 tn?1268104907 I have been on this for a week, and been doing some reasearch on it, and its fairly new in Canada... and cant find much. This is a new med, they have put me on instead of the trazadone.
Avatar m tn the oxy contin and now call it oxy neo here in canada i have been on for about 3 years now the pain management clinic advised my doctor to put me on the fentanyl and cymbalta with the ox i think it may be a little much after all the reading up i have done on it with the fentanyl being so stong
Avatar f tn All antidepressants have the black box warning of suicidal thoughts and actions. In the cymbalta anti depressant trials, 9 attempted suicides and 4 actual suicides occurred in healthy, non depressed people who volunteered to make extra money. The case of 19 year old student Traci Johnson, healthy with no mental health issues who hanged herself in the cymbalta trials, was big news. When this story broke, clinical trial volunteers dropped 20%.
2107676 tn?1388973859 most ppl who take the cymbalta really like it and stay in it for a while. The really good thing abt it is its made to help with pain as well. So for ppl who need an anti depressant and r in pain can take this and it really helps them.
Avatar f tn Cymbalta can be stimulating because it in part targets norepinephrine, which can increase anxiety in some people (though it reduces it in others). Remeron, on the other hand, is very sedating for many people, and could increase the activity of your fibromyalgia.
712568 tn?1268104907 Also, do you know anything about Cymbalta? I have been trying to do some reasearch online, but in Canada there is not a lot of information. My doctor has put me on this medication for the past month. He gave me some samples, and took me off of Trazadone. I don't feel like I need a anti-depressant. I think my "depression" is just situational. That I have been fighting with these symptoms for over a year now, and cant seem to get anywhere. HMPH! Thanks for your insight...
