Cymbalta liquid

Common Questions and Answers about Cymbalta liquid

572651 tn?1531002957 I'm wondering if any of you have experience with Cymbalta or Lyrica.... Why was it prescribed - what symptom was it supposed to work for? how long did it take for it to begin working with your pain? Did you have any problems with side effects? Anything else you can add?
5265383 tn?1483811956 gov/pmc/articles/PMC3962576/ I've chosen a liquid formulation for taper up. Trying not to be too optimistic -- it seems to work in a certain subset of people very well, and not so much in others. An informal poll at Patients Like Me suggested about half and half. I have an awful time with other pain meds and am hoping this will work so I can lose amitriptyline (as I have lost gaba, lyrica, nortriptyline, cymbalta, etc.) Argh.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I'm a 25 year old woman who was diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy about 7 months ago. I have difficulty swallowing pills and have been given liquid Neurontin to help relieve the symptoms. I have also been given vitamins B6 and B12, as I was a little defficient with those. The Neurontin really isn't helping much and I am in a lot of pain.
Avatar m tn Cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen and laser are the main treatment modalities. Although there are many skin creams like hydroquinone and salicylic acid, but their use needs prescription .I would recommend a dermatologist’s consultation for this. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar n tn Hello. I am currently on Cymbalta. After I had my daughter i was having alot of body pain (also going through PPD) and noone could figure out why, so they put me on cymbalta. I have been on AD for about 10 years for mainly anxiety. I really want to switch my cymbalta to something the SSRI group, because my insurance doesn't cover Cymbalta well and it's expensive! One problem. I tend to get BAD withdrals from just going down on antidepressants. More physical than anything.
Avatar f tn Possim, that's great news! I hope the liquid oxy helps you. Personally I think the oxy is probably stronger than morphine, so what i would do is stay with that for now and then when your tolerance goes up, which eventually it will, just a fact of life, you would have the option to switch to the liquid morphine for a while. Many doctors do this so they don't have to keep increasing the dosages too high.
Avatar n tn I have systemic sclerosis and have chronic gastric ulcers (no H-pyloric) and food bezoars for 10 years. I am supposed to be on liquid diet (I am not) and have gastroparesis and have gained 40 pounds in past two years. I have hypothyroidism for 33 years and empty sella syndrome. Because my TSH is always messed up docs keeping reducing levothyroxine dramatically, 2 years ago I was in a coma due to hypothyroidism and UTI which went to brain.
Avatar m tn I had the same reaction to the with Cymbalta and Amitryptaline. I went off then and started taking SAMe n St. John's Wort. It has been amazing! I feel like a human again. I am happy, energetic, feel more involved, less stressed n my anxiety has been so minimal that I can go in public without anyone by my side, which I NEVER could do without a panic attack. I also started taking GABA and 5-HTP which helps me sleep better at night.
1216121 tn?1267135109 i am having really bad headaches that were thought to be mingraines at first but now i have them all over my head, my head feels heavy like its filled with liquid it even feels like warm air or liquid is comming out of my ears. when i go to bed wherevever i lay y head the pain goes to that side, and i woke up with what feels like my whole head is swollan, and numb and when i stood up my legas where weak like i was walking but kinda limping with the right side leg.
Avatar f tn I started out on something called tramadol and over the years have been on fentynal path , opana 40mg with norco for break through pain along with lyrica, cymbalta, methotrexate, plaquinil, prednisone, and a few others. Several months ago I asked to come off of these medications as I feel I no longer am in touch with my body. I did well with all but lyrica, cymbalta and MS Contin . So I managed to get to 15 mg of MS Contin with 4 norco per day and the pain was tolerable.
5265383 tn?1483811956 For me it worked well enough that I have not had to do the Cymbalta, etc., thing, which is good because I'm averse to those unless absolutely necessary. Too many side effects. I hope the dose is OK for you too. I'm taking 4.5mg - I don't know if there are other doses being used out there - and I have found that I can even take opioids in a pinch while on it - because that dose really IS so low.
18283265 tn?1463781632 It has also been suggested to me to switch from paxil to cymbalta, as cymbalta will help with all the aches and pains more than the paxil. But I am literally TERRIFIED to change meds as I have had such difficult experiences in the past. I do have klonopin that I can take as needed, but I'm so afraid of addiction to another med that I have taken like one in the past two years. I practice lots of meditation, yoga, and other therapeutic practices.
897400 tn?1303332748 5 mg of Naltrexone. I am thinking that the oral liquid delivery is most practical since adjustments may need to be made to find the right dose for an individual. I will be using it to treat depression rather than as a deterrent to alcohol or opiate use. From what I've read, even in low doses it prevents the euphoric feeling that alcohol or opiate use produces.
Avatar f tn I am 23 and have been suffering from intense migraines for about 12 years. Seizuresfor about 3 years, but this isn't about the seizures.
Avatar f tn Working taking care of my kids + other peoples kids as well! When I went to get my latest box of Cymbalta, I was buying my husbands Aspirin as well. Thank fully I dont really need any other medications and am in good health.
Avatar n tn So I liffted my shirt and gently squeezed my nipple. Clear liquid came out very easily each time I would squeeze my nipple. I tried squeezing my right nipple but nothing happened (no liquid or anything came out). I stopped breastfeeding my daughter when she was 3 1/2 months old (back in mid-July 2010) and dried up quickly and have not had any leakage since that I have noticed.
Avatar f tn It may also be helping quite a bit with my over-active bladder, WITHOUT causing retention (this could be a fluke though -- I might have been improving in this area already). I highly recommend the liquid form to start. If I had stayed at the standard dosing schedule I was given (1.5, 3 then 4.5 Mg/day) it would not have worked for me -- it's very specifc to each person. My "sweet spot" is 3.6-3.7 Mg/day. It took some (very frustrating!) time to figure this out.
559187 tn?1330786456 She asked a few questions and then asked about any neww meds I'm taking right now and I told her the only new drug is Cymbalta, which is helping me tremendously. She wants me to come in tomorrow for a quick exam and some blood work. This is kind of a step backwards as I have been feeling so good lately. But I knew something wasn't right when I started having nausea last Saturday and stomach pain that is going into my back for no apparent good reason.
182493 tn?1348056515 I am going to take 5HTP,L-Glutamine,DLPA,L-Tyrosine and I found a great Sublingual Liquid B-Complex.I will take a dose somewhere in between what it says on bottle and what you are taking.(the aminos upset my stomach a little)lol You are a very special person. It is wonderful how you are always here to help everyone.God bless you.
Avatar n tn She has been on Lexapro and Cymbalta with no noticeable success. She has an unsteady gait, but her cognitive abilities are still fully intact. She experienced a TIA several months ago. The symptoms preceded the incident by 6 to 9 months, so I am not inclined to think the personality changed is definitely associated with the stroke. My mother thinks she saw a story on Dateline, 20/20 or 60 minutes about elderly individuals experiencing the same problems.

Avatar m tn I am on some medications like abilify, lamictal, strattera, and cymbalta. I also take vitamin supplements like a multivitamin, a time release b-complex, and vitamin D. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder (mixed state), Social Anxiety Disorder, OCD, and I have been diagnosed with an ULCER. There is a burning in my stomach that used to go away, but now is ever-present and is growing.
Avatar f tn When i first got sick last year, the doctor said i was depressed and gave me cymbalta....i didnt get better and he finally tested my blood. I know my tsh is .81 and thats good. I was jsut wondering why I am starting to feel just like I did last year. It is ruining my life. Thank goodness i work part time. I would surely loose my job. 3064509 tn?1340679243 I am on OxyNeo and Tramadol for pain plus Cymbalta, Cyclobenzaprine and Temazepam. I know that these meds can cause constipation, but my major concern is the large size and round shape of most of my bowel movements. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. I have recently moved and just found a new GP, so there hasn't been an opportunity to get a referral to a specialist yet. Thank you for your time.
Avatar n tn I also have a problem with dryness, in my mouth, down there...etc... every lubricant we've tried feels like burning liquid fire! I cant tolerate intercourse for more than a minute or two, but the friction makes me feel like innards on fire and like I'm really dry, even tho I am lubricated. This is causing me anxiety over not even wanting to try, avoiding going to bed with hubby, anything, as I either just have no desire or I am afraid of the pain and failure.
Avatar n tn About 6 weeks afterwards I experienced some semen like discharge after unrinating - felt like semen, was sticky like it and looked identical to it and there was no odor. At the time I had just started taking Effexor and then Cymbalta as I was very, very anxious (I was and am married). I never got tested and I only experienced this semen like discharge a 1/2 dozen times or so over the next month, and to date (3 years later) I haven't experienced any symptoms that have concerned me.
Avatar n tn I take cymbalta and lyrica for nerve pain. (am not getting relief I used to) Is this part of the neuropathy? Last blood labs potassium was high, then normal. AIC's at 6.0 or UNDER for last 7 years. What's happening? I'm 47 and I'm falling apart! I used to take 60mg of cymbalta daily and my doc cut it down to once a day. I would like to go back to twice. My neurolgist doesn't have a problem with it, just my GP.
Avatar f tn Still, like you I was desperate for help and actually had Cymbalta on my shelf as a last resort. tho I hated to think about taking yet MORE meds. Oddly enough, I puked my guts out for three days last July - and it disappeared over night - leading me to believe that detoxing plays a role, at least in some small part. Several of the comments above are beneficial - I went to weekly massages for a time out of desperation - I figured I was saving the money on Cymbalta anyway.
