cymbalta

1205402 tn?1268220272 Hello again, I didn't realize you were in Canada. I am not sure if the NFA has a provider search for Canada- I think it's only for US residents. I apologize for the confusion. I would do what you can to try to begin the Cymbalta as well. It is an approved treatment for FMS here in the states, so chances are that your doctor already has it in his/her mind that you may have FMS.
Avatar f tn I just ordered more Cymbalta from Canada who in turn orders it from India. I always get the generic duloxetine from them but this time I also got duvanta.
881463 tn?1245345649 your advice on Cymbalta. I think I am inclined to proceed with Cymbalta for 2 months. I was curious however about your thoughts of Lexapro, as I read it does not promote weight gain and seems to be well tolerated. Pristiq I read about but it is not available in Canada as of yet. I will finally let go of the cancer fears based on what you and my doctor have said and of course the numerous tests I have had.e.
Avatar f tn I have been on Cymbalta for over a year by a world renowned Psychiatrist after being on a worthless drug called Imipramine. I have totally seen a change in myself and the side effects have been minimal. If weren't for the cost especially after losing insurance I still love it!! I pay 140.00 per month so make sure you shop around if your insurance doesn't help. It is a fairly need drug but specifically for GAD sufferers. Good luck to you!
460185 tn?1326077772 OMG - now I know why I hate taking meds. Cymbalta was approved recently in Canada but I wanted to know how "real" people have experienced it. The only anti-depressant I was able to take was Prozac and after awhile it was no longer effective. Every other anti-depressant has had negative side-effects. Also don't think meds alone help - I need talk therapy at least if I took meds. Maybe I'll just stay depressed. Thank you for responding.
217229 tn?1192762404 and Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd. are pleased to inform you of the launch and availability of CYMBALTA™ (duloxetine hydrochloride). CYMBALTA is a selective serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) for oral administration. Please note important information on the safety of CYMBALTA.
553995 tn?1332018840 Hi, do you live in the US or Canada? I live in Canada. I take Tramadol for long term pain. Tramacet for break through pain. My main FM med is Topiramate (an anti-seizure medication). I take Trazadone for sleeping along with Elavil at night to aid with sleep and pain. I have a lot of problems with IBS so I take meds for that also. There that is my med file. I also am on Thyroid medication.
Avatar f tn I am in the same boat as you are Cookie. Please if u find a cure let me know. Im on cymbalta and my insurance dont pay for it anymore and it is sooo expensive. Anyone out there that got advice please HELP!!
Avatar n tn Some people have tapered off by opening the capsules and removing half and buying those gel capsules to fill the balance that you are taking out to use the next time since the lowest dose I have heard of is 20mg but I know in Canada we dont have that and 30mg is the lowest. the thing with Cymbalta is it worked really well with my anxiety but was causing a lot of other bad symptoms that is the reason I came off it.
Avatar f tn There are other meds available. Neurontin works for some, also Cymbalta. Lidocane patches are useful as well. If you are looking for alternative treatments there is some information in our Health Pages (on the upper right hand side of this page) that may be effective. I wish you the best and feel better soon.
Avatar m tn the oxy contin and now call it oxy neo here in canada i have been on for about 3 years now the pain management clinic advised my doctor to put me on the fentanyl and cymbalta with the ox i think it may be a little much after all the reading up i have done on it with the fentanyl being so stong
712568 tn?1268104907 Does anyone know anything about Cymbalta? I have been on this for a week, and been doing some reasearch on it, and its fairly new in Canada... and cant find much. This is a new med, they have put me on instead of the trazadone.
Avatar f tn In my previous post I mentioned that I just began taking ERFA thyroid from Canada 3 weeks ago. I'm only on 1/2 grain daily. I know this is a starter dose and I know it is pretty early in the game to expect spectacular results. Here is my problem. I am currently taking Wellbutrin (now for about 3 months)...it is not relieving my depression symptoms in the least. Talked to my doctor (psychiatrist) this afternoon and explained the situation to him.
2107676 tn?1388973859 Then I was taking a small dose of the old one every other day, then every few days then off. I went from cymbalta to zoloft. Cymbalta is not an anti depreesant you want to miss doses of. I would get stomach cramps, shakiness and head zaps. I only quit taking it because its too expensive for me and my doc can give me samples of the zoloft. You should be ok. The cymbalta is way different than lyrica and I think you will like it.
712568 tn?1268104907 Also, do you know anything about Cymbalta? I have been trying to do some reasearch online, but in Canada there is not a lot of information. My doctor has put me on this medication for the past month. He gave me some samples, and took me off of Trazadone. I don't feel like I need a anti-depressant. I think my "depression" is just situational. That I have been fighting with these symptoms for over a year now, and cant seem to get anywhere. HMPH! Thanks for your insight...
Avatar f tn Did the benzo's help? Were you taking them as-needed, or on a schedule?
1203197 tn?1265555829 I take Cymbalta, abilify, and trazadone. I am extremely overweight and have sleep apnea. I find it increasingly dificult to focus and function in my daily life. I was taking seroquel for a year and I think that it did much more harme than good. I could not get off of it without help. that is why I am taking trazadone to get me off the seroquel. I no longer take the seroquel.
Avatar m tn Hi, My doctor wants to put me on cymbalta for nerve pain that I have been having from an injury I have from 2005. It's nerve pain from a fall I took. He says it will help to calm down the nerves and signals from my brain to help with the pain. The prescription is for 30mg, 1 tab a day then increase to 2 tabs and recheck with him in a month. I'm alittle scared to take this, as I have never had to go on this kind of medicene and I'm afraid what the side effects might do.
Avatar m tn Only took Cymbalta for 3 months but had side effects of being off balance lightheaded feeling like I am walking in a boat now I being taken off the drug and having nightmares the sweats headaches anyone had this experience with this drug?
400867 tn?1371753094 So I took my first Cymbalta today. Other than Paxil, nothing else has worked for me (Lexapro and Effexor). Anyone have any good experiences with Cymbalta? Just wondering what I'm in for this time... Thanks!!
