I have three choices. Add buspar(trying this first), switch to Cymbalta or increase my Klonopin. I originally started out at 2mgs of Klonopin many years ago, so I haven't built tolerance quickly. I actually lowered my dose a few years back. What Is considered a large dose? I don't like taking benzos, but I wanna live my best life. Welcome all opinions!
Could anyone tell me if they have gotten Duvanta-30 as a generic for cymbalta? Due to the money crunch we have had to look to the canadian drug companys for my husbands meds that he takes, and when I ordered the cymbalta that is what they sent, and when I questioned it they said it was the same... So a little feed back would be great.

Do not go onto any dose of Cymbalta w/o investigating it thoroughly. Thr is no exit strategy for Cymbalta and its half-life is only 12hrs; IOW, u cld be on Cymbalta 20mg for the rest of yr life b/c u cn't functn w/o it. Most of the ppl who hv tried to wean thmslvs off Cymbalta face awful serotonin w/drawal symptoms. It is not unusual tht Cymbalta patients hv broken the 20mg capsule and eliminated 1-2 pebbles (out of abt 50 in each capsule) per wk. it's a complete nightmare.
Yes I already filed a complaint to the Ohio Dept but it takes 40 days!!! At least that's what it says. I went to my family doc this last thurs and told him what happened and was actually crying because of the pain and he said YOUR DEPRESSED LOL. If the insurance wants to play games we will play games. He wrote a script for Cymbalta and said tell the Pharmacy it's going through me. If there is a problem to call be for pre approval. He said that he will deal with my insurance.
I have gained from May to December of last year. I have been taking cymbalta for a year. I attributed the gain to a stressful project that I let keep me from exercising. But, I watch what I eat and really eat a balanced diet. Yet, I can't lose the weight! I started walking a mile 3 times a week and took alli as well. Have not lost an ounce.
I was on Celebrex 200 mg daily, my pain clinic dr also wants to add Cymbalta 30 mg for 7 days then 60 mg. My husband and I want to have children but are not activly trying at this point, it happens when it happens. I just want pain to stop or at least elevate more. SHould I take both together. My OB said it should be ok, My neuro dr said give it a try but pain clinic dr said don't. What should I do? I have taken it for 3 days now. I also have PCOS.
is it ok to gradually taper off of cymbalta and slowly add in small amount of zoloft.....i am currently on 30 mg of cymbalta, down from original 60 mg for quite a few years.....my neurologist wants me to compl etely stop the cymbalta and start on 50 mg of zoloft, which i do not want to do because of the horrible cymbalta withdrawal, which i am already experiencing at 30mg.....
ve tried both Cymbalta and Savella for my fibro - Cymbalta did nothing for my pain at all - Savella made me HORRENDOUSLY jumpy, irritable, heart racing, loose stools, etc. I will NEVER touch it again. I've heard of it helping some people, but I've heard more negative reports on it than the good. Mine was definitely one of the negative experiences.
Cymbalta actually worked for me after I had a major back surgery...i had alot of nerve damage in my sciatic and the cymbalta helped me while they were doing procedures to ease the nerve pain such as epidurals and rfas...however getting off of it was not the easiest thing I ever had to do...my dr lowered the dose and got me off of it safely but I was still going through some moderate withdrawals like shaking and nausea but they only lasted a few weeks and I was fine afterward...
I just had a blood test and the Dr. said it might be from the cymbalta that it is showing hep in the blood. Is there any one out there that would know what kind I would get from that and then would it be contagious. Thanks.....
