Avatar f tn So this might be a rivita ryebread with a piece of ham and salad; then 2 hours later some seeds to snack on eg. pumpkin/sunflower seeds/nuts etc. Eat plenty of protein, complex carbs, vegetables/fruits/salads etc. You must eat something last thing at night within an hour of going to bed and must eat something within 30 mins of waking up. I am no longer falling asleep and the muscle pain is starting to lessen.
Avatar m tn t forget seeds -- sunflower, pumpkin -- hemp seeds are said to have a better protein profile than even soy. But for the raw thing, I'm not in favor of that, just my opinion. A lot of very healthy foods are not digestible raw and people are eating them that way. Raw kale salad is very popular these days, for example, but kale has way too much complex fiber for humans to get much from it raw but gas. Same with broccoli.
Avatar f tn Yes! And no! Lol. Sunflower seeds help tremendously but I hate them. And you have two options...either a very DRY mouth or a mouth full of spit. Sunflower seeds makes your mouth dry. And i usually don't drink or eat anything after eating them until its meal time. Candy makes the saliva easier to deal with. That's about all. One lady told me to put coffee beans under my tongue but i despise coffee so that was a no go for me. Sorry but there are only temporary fixes....hope I helped.
Avatar f tn I am addicted to eating raw oatmeal mixed with almonds or sunflower seeds ,etc. yeah, I know, its supposed to be good for you, not to this extent. I comsume approximately a half box a day, once i get started it seems that i can't stop, even if it causes indigestion or diarrhea. I have had a cocaine addition in the past (15 years ago), as well as an alcohol addiction that lasted almost 20 yrs. Ive been clean from that for 2 years. Has any one else ever heard of such a thing?

Tbd Shelled and salted pumpkin seeds, shelled and salted sunflower seeds. Nuts are good, just need to watch the quantity consumed. Make sure you check the packaging, because some bean products, lentil chips, etc. that you would think are high in fiber, actually don't have enough fiber to justify consuming them.

For weight loss it is important to have a combination of aerobic and strength training. Include green leafy vegetables, fruits and less of spaghetti, potato etc. I suggest you eat frequent small meals and drink plenty of water .I hope it helps. Take care and regards!

They looked like sunflower seeds, although I have not ate any of those nor anything near that lately. I figured it may be pinworms...but tonight, I was using the restroom and notices a very tiny amount of blood in my stool. Could this be from the pinworms or should I be more worried?
Avatar f tn Snacks should be about 15-30 carbs, breakfast 30 carbs, lunch 30-45 carbs and dinner 45 carbs. I have been managing it pretty well by not eating a lot of carbs. Stay away from refined sugars. Dont eat cold cereal because thats processed and it turns straight to sugar. A dietician will give you more info.
