Avatar f tn So 12w today and this morning just sitting there I started getting this weird, slightly uncomfortable but not painful feeling in my boob... it was like just below the nipple it felt like I was being poked with a safety pin. My mom says this is milk duds growing and forming I'm just wondering gas anyone else felt this?
266539 tn?1281402152 So I decided any excuss to eat my favorite milk duds was enough for me so I tired the new ones and they are not at all the same. The chocolate covering doesnt even taste like chocolate and it tastes oily and I am very sad by this. I would much rather pay more for the good ol chocolate than pay the same for gross chocolate. There are 4 candies that they left the same; Hersey Chocolate Bar, Almond Joy, Recese (sp?), and Kisses.
Avatar f tn Perfectly normal hunnie it's you're milk duds starting to fill up my nipples are in agony at 21 weeks !!
Avatar n tn It's not bad to ignore unhealthy food cravings. You don't want to load up on fast food all the time. I'm not one to talk though lol because this pregnancy I've definitely overindulged in unhealthy foods. I've had a lot of milk duds and ice cream and sausage mcmuffins. Fortunately I've only gained 9 lbs so far and I'm 30 weeks and 3 days lol, I don't how my body's managed that.
Avatar n tn My little girl had me craving milk duds for the last 3 weeks. It felt like I could never get enough. I did put on a few extra pounds but it was fun to feel her get excited and move around more after I ate them.
Avatar f tn My meal plan is breakfast I get 30 grams of carbs with no fruit and a snack 2 hours later containing 15 grams of carbs lunch and dinner I get 45 grams of carbs with a snack two hours after each meal. Snacks could be crackers with cheese or apples with peanut butter, just really watch your carb intake.
Avatar f tn Lactose free milk is the same as regular milk. I'm lactose intolerant but don't have diabetes. I drink whole Lactose milk.
Avatar f tn 3 servings of dairy/day has been shown to help with weight loss. Try to stay with low/no fat varieties. Milk is actually quite low in carbs and it's an excellent course of protein, calcium and vitamin B12. Other dairy products, such as fat free yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, etc are all good for you.
Avatar f tn Why bother? I don't like Milk Duds anymore, so I don't eat them. We change. Take a vacation from wine and maybe it will come back, but it's only a beverage you've made into something more. Try tequila. I'm not being snide here, this is just a common thing in life for it to change, including our tastes in what we consume.
Avatar m tn What kind of milk do you mean? Cows milk, soy, almond. I would suggested you read the labels for carbs and check with either your primary or endo to see if the number of carbs are okay for you to ingest?
1901568 tn?1339091941 For my hubby ill get him a card and write how much he means to me. Then I buy all his favorite treats or snacks lol like milk duds and beef jerky as a reminder that I do know what he likes and it makes it more personal.
Avatar m tn Full fat dairy is considered healthier by many than modified products, while others advocate non- or low-fat. For health purposes, avoiding dairy would be the best thing, as most people don't tolerate it very well but don't always notice that until later in life, but if this is just an occasional treat and you don't notice increased inflammation or mucous then go for it.
Tbd You could basically eat any type of food you just want to watch your carbs my doctor told me 45 carbs for a meal and 15-20 carbs for a snack and try an limit your milk if you can and eat the servings
7058746 tn?1393435420 That sounds about right but your dietician will go over the exact amount of carbs you can intake with each meal. In my case, I'm required to eat a total of 180 carbs a day/30 carbs each feeding (eat up to 6x a day-breakfast, lunch, dinner with snacks after each). I have to check my sugar before my first meal and then every two hours after breakfast, lunch and dinner. I mainly drink water (all day) and milk (breakfast/lunch only).
1855476 tn?1356739693 Are you eliminating processed carbs like pasta, bread, rice, etc? Are you only getting your carbs from vegetables and fruits? I would recommend making sure you aren't getting your carbs from anything processed (ie bottled sauces, drinks, breading, etc). If you are eating a lot of fruit, that can be a culprit as fruit is loaded with sugar and sugar equals carbs. Reduce the amount of fruit you are eating or find a type of fruit that it lower in carbs.
Avatar n tn My teenage daughter is a type 1, and her nutritionist said milk was great, as long as she counted the carbs and covered it with insulin. She drinks milk with dinner regularly. Milk is a great food, especially lowfat/fat-free milk. Are you covering your son's milk with insulin? As long as you cover the carbs in the milk with insulin, he should be able to drink it. It's much better for a diabetic than juice or soda.
Avatar f tn Hello ladies:) I'm currently drinking 2% milk. Is there a correct type of milk we should be taking when we're pregnant?
Avatar n tn Bull up on things like protein and veggies as they have little to no carbs. Cheese is low in carbs as well. Try to avoid milk, pasta, breads, and juices. Fresh fruit is okay, but avoid it in the morning. I had it with my first and was able to manage it with diet alone the whole pregnancy. Good luck!
Avatar n tn It is better to kill the virus and eat a little carbs than to eat no carbs and have the virus levels high. Polyphenols are very powerful against hepatitis B. Lactoferrin is also known to kill hepatitis B virus and it is abundant in milk. I never used to eat cereal or drink milk in the past. I introduced them into my diet and I am seeing benefits. I think you are focused too much on sugar and carbs. Everything should be done in moderation.
Avatar f tn Does you count other carbs in breakfast cereals when counting for carbs? Very confused with a 7yr old diabetic diagnosed 8 months ago.
Avatar f tn I am 13 weeks my son is 7 months and I find I have to eat more carbs dying the day to keep my self from losing weight. I am 6 lbs lighter then when I got pregnant now but baby in side and out side are in good and healthy. And my milk supply is good now. Before I started eating more carbs my milk supply wasn't so good. I also need a ton more water. I have a glass of water everytime I go pee, 10-15 time a day and about 5 times a night.
532657 tn?1213131909 Preworkout Shake Start with 1 1/2 scoops of protein powder (about 30 grams) and 12 ounces of nonfat milk instead of water. This yields roughly 240 calories, 40 grams of protein, 16 grams of carbs, and 3 grams of fat. Toss in some fruit for flavor, or a tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter for a creamier shake. These will boost calories, carbs, and fat, but they're good for your overall diet Buzz the concoction in a blender. Add ice if you like your shakes thicker.
Avatar n tn Most cereals (the crunchy with-milk kind, not oatmeal) have a high gylcemic index meaning that their carbs are absorbed very quickly by the body. In my experience, cereals are absorbed too quickly to be properly conterbalanced by insulin. I avoid these types of cereals except in hypoglycemic situations. J.
Avatar f tn Choose good fats (olive oil, avocado, grass fed butter, linseed oil, chia seeds), protein (fish, eggs, canned/dried beans, nuts, seeds, chicken, red meat, some cheese) and veg (anything, just choose more veg than fruit) over carbs. And when eating carbs make sure they're wholegrain. That's what I focus my meal plans around. That way any extra snacks or indulgences full of sugar or white flour don't throw my diet into carb overload.
