Avatar n tn That's your colostrum coming in:) it's perfectly normal to leak before labor for awhile. Don't try and express it just keep dry by using nursing pads. Colostrum is the pre-milk your baby gets right after birth until your milk comes in. It's basically a more condensed version of milk as your newborn can't eat a ton at first but needs all the benefits of milk.
Avatar f tn It's not necessary "bad" but I'd suggest limiting your intake. The reason is because most Thai tea are made from black tea. Out of all the teas, black and red tea has the most caffeine content. On top of that, Thai teas have a lot of sugar in them. It's made from condensed milk + evaporated milk. So it's fatty + sugar + caffeine in one cup. It's tasty I know!
1399033 tn?1449587779 All you need is a can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 packet of lemon-lime koolaid, pie crust and a container of cool whip... Well, the other day I went to get everything for it.. I got everything but the cool whip. Didn't even notice it until 2 days later lol... Then as I was looking for the condensed milk cause I couldn't find it, I noticed a bag next to the fridge and when I looked in it, Dh had done dropped the can on our tile in the kitchen and it was busted. I had NO idea.
535822 tn?1443976780 the other recipe in this book also Hawaiin says use condensed milk instead of regular milk ...this is a favorite in The UK and can be eaten hot with cream as a dessert or cold .like a cake ...
Avatar f tn I've never heard of it inducing laboR either. I think it's a strange craving, but I see no harm.
Avatar n tn So curious, upon waking one day, I drank a 20oz coke with slightly less carbs given in a glucose test(I think 65). I checked, and sure enough, had similar normal readings like in the glucose tolerance test. My Dr. Said its likely just because I stress about testing, its effecting food digestion, and the stress hormones are raising blood sugars more when I'm trying to digest a carb load.
594189 tn?1386916607 Smart carbs tend to be whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables. Basically things high in fiber are smart carbs. I thinking that milk is a protein? Going with Skim or 1% is good. I have much to learn myself yet but I do know that I have been basically following the Canadian Food Guide which highly promotes whole grains.
Avatar f tn 3 servings of dairy/day has been shown to help with weight loss. Try to stay with low/no fat varieties. Milk is actually quite low in carbs and it's an excellent course of protein, calcium and vitamin B12. Other dairy products, such as fat free yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, etc are all good for you.
Avatar f tn My meal plan is breakfast I get 30 grams of carbs with no fruit and a snack 2 hours later containing 15 grams of carbs lunch and dinner I get 45 grams of carbs with a snack two hours after each meal. Snacks could be crackers with cheese or apples with peanut butter, just really watch your carb intake.
Avatar n tn t make it to school well - that is a home fruit I had heard nuts like almonds and walnuts were high in good carbs, so we have been adding those. I had also heard that chocolate milk was good, she doesn't like chocolate so I added strawberry. We will fill an empty water bottle with it to take to school.
Avatar f tn Lactose free milk is the same as regular milk. I'm lactose intolerant but don't have diabetes. I drink whole Lactose milk.
Avatar f tn Try eating things lime walnuts with condensed milk. Pepperidge farm cookies and have a cup of black tea mixed with milk. This creates fatter milk. That's what you need to make baby more content. Because sounds like your milk is not as fatty. Watery more...that's why baby isn't satisfied. I am pregnant with 6th. Blessings...
Avatar m tn Higher fat versions, and even cream will have less impact on blood sugars. I use cream in my coffee rather than milk as fat has little impact on blood sugars.
Avatar n tn Not much could be found on Carnation sugar free instant breakfast. Contains about 27 grams of carbs. If your blood sugars elevate with almond or hemp milk find something else to eat such as oatmeal. Lunch: Read the flour tortilla nutrition label carefully. Foods made with white flour will elevate your blood sugars. And, some tortillas contain high amounts of sugar to enhance the flavor. Eggs and Fritos are OK.
Avatar m tn s milk, as goats have a similar digestive system to humans, while cows are pretty weird in how they eat. But you might not like the taste. Most milk advocates would say drink only raw whole unhomogenized milk or, if you must have pasteurized, sill try to find unhomogenized -- but that's getting pretty far into it if, again, this is just an occasional treat.
Avatar n tn I get a super foods mix of greens from costco, and more so lately just frozen spinach, banana and water as the base and occasionally add in pineapple, ginger, mango, etc. Cucumber goes undetected in there as well. My 4 year old eats them too. But i figure just in one smoothie there's 5 or more servings Bc the greens are so condensed. What else are you thinking? I try to avoid dairy and I think she simpler it is to make the more likely I'll have it. How do you make them?
7058746 tn?1393435420 That sounds about right but your dietician will go over the exact amount of carbs you can intake with each meal. In my case, I'm required to eat a total of 180 carbs a day/30 carbs each feeding (eat up to 6x a day-breakfast, lunch, dinner with snacks after each). I have to check my sugar before my first meal and then every two hours after breakfast, lunch and dinner. I mainly drink water (all day) and milk (breakfast/lunch only).
Avatar n tn My teenage daughter is a type 1, and her nutritionist said milk was great, as long as she counted the carbs and covered it with insulin. She drinks milk with dinner regularly. Milk is a great food, especially lowfat/fat-free milk. Are you covering your son's milk with insulin? As long as you cover the carbs in the milk with insulin, he should be able to drink it. It's much better for a diabetic than juice or soda.
Avatar f tn ) This pregnancy I would say anything with salt on it , and sweets .
Avatar f tn Thanks traciv:) I would like to start drinking more milk now, that's why I asked. It's good to know that you can also drink 1%.
Tbd You could basically eat any type of food you just want to watch your carbs my doctor told me 45 carbs for a meal and 15-20 carbs for a snack and try an limit your milk if you can and eat the servings
Avatar n tn Bull up on things like protein and veggies as they have little to no carbs. Cheese is low in carbs as well. Try to avoid milk, pasta, breads, and juices. Fresh fruit is okay, but avoid it in the morning. I had it with my first and was able to manage it with diet alone the whole pregnancy. Good luck!
