Whole grains are mostly carbs. All are listed on everyone's list of what you should eat. Red meat is great protein, and on everyone's list of what not to eat if health is what you're after. Avatar m tn 3 months ago i was drinking in a party. as soon as i had 1 peg, I had short breath, heart beat was too high that i can feel it like anything, mouth and eyes turned red like tomato, after 2 minutes my right arm started paining and it continued for approx 15 minutes. then after 2 weeks i again had one peg just to see my body's response i again had a peg and the response was same. after that i stopped drinking.

I am having terrible bloating and cannot eat any large meal, also can't do fiber, gluten or carbs. Any suggestions. Avatar f tn Although I will say that this pregnancy I have had an adversion to veggies (which used to be my main staple since I typically eat little meat of any). I try to have at least a smoothie everyday with a large serving of kale and whatever fruits I have on hand. The remained of the time I eat all organic and whole foods- limited processed foods such as; brown rice, brown rice pasta, whole grain pancakes, bean burritos, tomato sandwich on whole grain bread... etc.
Avatar f tn t want carbs in the evening typically, unless you worked out late and need them. Soup is typically high in sodium and to go to bed with high sodium is a no go also. Soup in general (even during the day usually has a lot of hidden sodium). If I have late night cravings I usually go for a veggie. (Cucumber, carrots, etc) something with crunch can trick your brain. Also trt drinking water. Sometimes it can be that you're bored. Also hot tea is one of my go to things at night.

If you buy the brown rice or wholegrain rice ones, they are a lot less dense then bread but will give you some carbohydrates for energy and they are very light. If you chop up some lettuce or tomato before you go and prepare it, they'll be really quick to eat :) Some wholegrain bars are ok too... but you have to be careful and read the labels because some of them aren't that healthy.

The complex carbs are the ones that provide fiber to keep you feeling fuller longer. Also be sure to get plenty of protein with every meal. Eggs and whole grains are excellent sources of protein, as is dairy.
Avatar n tn There is NO ideal carb count. Each of us is different. How many carbs you can handle without having your BG go too high (140 in the USA) is different than it is for me (I eat under 50gr a day). Google "eat to your meter" that will tell you haw many carbs YOU can eat.
