Avatar f tn I do have a history of endometriosis and hemorhhagic cyst. My question is can you get ovarian cyst while you are breastfeeding and ha my cycles are not yet back. I am having severe back pain , legs pain ,nausea on and off, fatigue and bloated.
Avatar m tn Yeah, from what I understand...the symptoms of Ovarian Cancer are pretty much spot-on to just having a cyst. I was also told that having cysts doesn't increase your chances of developing Ovarian Cancer. The best to you, dear!
Avatar f tn Is it possible you missed a pill? Sometimes even if you double up the next day, you can still have breakthrough bleeding depending on how sensitive your body is.
1832630 tn?1318056776 Hi again. Well your ultrasound clearly states "Multiseptated Rt ovarian cyst still evident". How can the gynocologist say you don't have an ovarian cyst when clearly you do? Strange. Ovarian cysts can also affect bowel and bladder.
Avatar f tn Well technically while you are on the pill you aren't supposed to have an ovulation week, though some people do. Birth control pills adjust the hormone levels to a) prevent ovulation and b) prevent the lining of the uterus from thickening and thus making conditions hard for an embryo to implant. It IS possible to get pregnant on the pill, but since they are proven 99% effective, it's not often. The rate of effectiveness also depends on the individual.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone. I'm very much a 'worrier' so sorry if my questions make your eyes roll :) I'm a 25 year old female with no children who is overweight (5'5, 200lbs). I have a family history of cysts and PCOS but no cancer. When I was about 20, I had a functional ovarian cyst diagnosed via internal ultrasound (not sure how big it was).
1324051 tn?1275414812 My sister's doc put her on the pill when she had a big ovarian cyst that wasn't draining or resolving, so it is done often enough I guess. What I can't remember is if he had her suppress her periods. It took three months to fix itself, but the other option would have been to drain it with a needle, and she was satisfied with the milder approach.
Avatar f tn Hi Jada, and welcome to the fourm. You can definately have a cyst while on birth contorl pills. Sometimes the doctor will put you on BCP's to see if it will help keep you from developing cysts, but you can still develope them while taking the pill. I would ask your doctor for a transvaginal ultrasound. It will help the doctors tell what is going on. Please call your doctor tomorrow and see if you can get an appointment. I would suggest calling your gyn for the advice on what to do.
Avatar f tn I am on birth control to help regulate my period (Camila progestin- only) so I can start TTC in the next couple of months. I looked up this pill and it said the pill can cause ovarian cysts. Should I ask to be switched? Thanks for answering!
388376 tn?1302011418 OHHHHH cysts i LOVE them :P I am also on b/c but not to shrink the cyst to prevent pregnancy after surgery to remove the cyst mine was HUGE though 10 cm.
Avatar n tn Has anyone ever been on the pill for many years and been diagnosed with pcos WHILE on the pill? And has any developed cysts while on the pill? I've been reading that the pill should prevent women from developing functional cysts, or that it's rare to develop a functional cyst because you shouldn't ovulate while on the pill. I know you can ovulate on the pill, but it shouldn't be a recurring thing.
389774 tn?1306441672 Jesslee is right, use condoms if your gonna have sex, along with your pill. if you get pregnant while on the pill it will NOT cause any harm to the baby. and you'll find out if your pregnant because you will not get your period when your on the week with sugar pills.
Avatar f tn I was on clomid CD 5-9. I started on 50 mg the 1st month and every month after did 100mg., which was 5 cycles total. I didn't get pregnant on it, was not monitored-just did some OPK's and I believe I did get a positive on those, I don't believe there are any risks for you or baby, it can cause ovarian cysts though, it gave me mild hot flashes and some wicked cramping around ovulation time, and I've heard it can cause multiples but I don't believe it's real common.
893889 tn?1294276977 you can get pregnant with cyst. im 23 and i tried my best not to get pregnant in the past. now that im ready it seem s almost impossible to concieve. my mom always told me never come between life and its courses. just use condoms if anything. because once u try to concieve and supposing it dont happen right away u will be very hurt. and begin to blame urself. so take it easy and condoms as are useful as pills.
Avatar n tn What started initially as a small complex Ovarian Cysts now on scan the Dr. says is getting bigger and has put her on birth control pill. How does one get Ovarian Cysts. Please help.
1697367 tn?1306700619 The egg like stuff almost sounds like ovulation. Even though you are just starting the pill, it can take your body 3 months to adjust to it. So it may have possibly been ovulation?
Avatar f tn t need to be on the pill to help prevent ovarian cysts. Well, I have stopped the pill again, about year after my second surgery. I have been feeling a lot of pain again on my right ovary. I am wondering if I have developed another cyst/follicle. It has only been about two weeks after stopping the pill. I am not sure if it is scar tissue that causes the pain, or maybe the pain is due to the fact that I am ovulating again. Or, like I said, maybe I have another cyst.
374593 tn?1257879950 m not sure what to do about early bleeding, I would call you Re in the morning. Hopefully those nasty cysts are behind you and you move on.
Avatar f tn Have you been to the doctor as of yet? I'm not sure these are symptoms of just a cyst, sweetie. Let us know what the doctor says!
Avatar f tn If you have sex the day before your period arrive, the chances of you getting pregnant are low. That means you ovulated already and the unfertilize egg will be flushed out with your menstrual blood.
Avatar n tn t want to scare you but if the cyst has not resolved itself within a couple of cycles, and especially since it is larger, I really think you need to deal with having it removed. You want this done while you can still have a laporascope (at 10 cm they generally move to a laporatomy) and they cannot be sure it is benign until it is removed and biopsied. Losing that kind of weight does not sound right. Most people gain with cysts. Please update us.
