Breast milk on the go

Common Questions and Answers about Breast milk on the go

breast

Avatar f tn Your breast milk is actually the BEST thing you can put on your nipples to heal it. Take a warm compress or hot damp wash cloth and put it on your breasts for 5 minutes before breast feeding, use a nipple shield to protect the damaged tissue, after feeding squeeze a few drops out and rub it on your nipples and let it AIR DRY! Don't wipe of your milk after feedings.
10256164 tn?1408981241 Omg girl! Breastfeeding is the way to go! Helps with immunity and development. Also breast milk produces more of any nutrients the baby is missing when he/she is born to ensure baby is getting nutrients. Did you know there is no lactose in our breast milk as there is in cows? which means naturally we are not even suppose to have anything lactose! A lot of people don't know these things. I would do some research and I guarantee you will not want to formula feed. I hope you breast feed!!

Avatar f tn I can't wait! I've been craving sushi and moscato.

6709254 tn?1389303349 I also sometimes use the medela bottles that go with my pump, but when I do I use the dr. Brown nipples on them.
7520331 tn?1395101988 Buy a couple Milkies I can only find them on amazon but I love them. Will never go without them. A milkie is kinda like a nursing pad but they are reusable. When you sit down to nurse or pump especially the first couple of weeks both of your boobs let down milk at the same time... sometimes a lot. The milkie doesn't soak up the milk it collects it so you can save it with your breast milk that you store for bottle feeding.
5612058 tn?1373576034 t able to produce enough milk for my son. They had me start him on a bottle in the hospital 12 hours after he was born because they said I didn't have enough for him. Mind you I still both breast and bottle for the month because I really wanted to breast feed but I just never was able to produce enough for him.
Avatar n tn The breast with the inverted nipple is twice as small as the other breast and supplies no milk except to leak when my daughter feeds on the other side. I have tried to pump and get my daughter to suck but even when she latches on and ***** nothing comes out. My lactation specialist is stumped and so am I bc I really want to breast feed my daughter but this cant work on one breast plus she cries so much. He doctors say her weight gain is good but could I be the reason why she cries so much?
1098714 tn?1330578593 i am planning to breast feed, and pump to have milk on-hand for my husband (or family member or friend) to feed the baby with in a bottle. i am not too keen on breast-feeding in public settings, so will have breast milk on-hand when on-the-go, but if the baby needs it and i haven't prepared, i will suck it up and do it.. i found a cute nursing bib that is reversible and doesn't scream "i'm nursing!" - so will have that on-hand when away from home.
541150 tn?1306033843 On the breast, he controls the flow. On the bottle, the milk just pours out. The hole on the Nuk is on top, so the flow is a little more controlled. It won't keep dripping into his mouth even if he isn't su.cking. Also, just wanted to let you know that it IS possible to maintain a supply while pumping, as long as you have good pumping habits and a good pump. I had to exclusively pump and had no issues maintaining supply.

Avatar f tn I plan on saving money on milk by using breast milk. Not breast feeding but breast pumping.
11367320 tn?1421799959 I Put It In The Fridge For Later On Till I Go To See Her But I Was Wondering For How Long Is Breast Milk Good (When U Put It in The Fridge) To Feed Your Baby?
986603 tn?1248972899 I would first of all say that you are awfully young to be on the pill. But that is just me ... If the discharge happened before you started the pill then I would see a doctor about it. I honestly don't know much about what pubescent girls go through during puberty, so I do not know if this is normal or not. If it happened after the pill then definitely see a doctor.
Avatar f tn I will pump a little and go back to sleep- this way I have milk in the freezer and am still ready to feed the baby when she wakes.
Avatar n tn Alot of people are saying that right now since im starting to produce my milk that my husband should be sucking on my boobs that it helps with the producing of milk. Is it true or not?
Avatar f tn I would not recommend pumping before your milk supply comes after the baby is born it could cause you to go into preterm labor. I'm having my second and after my first I never stopped lactating even when I stopped breastfeeding. I still would leak collosum (don't know if that is spelled right) especially when he would cry.
Avatar n tn Almost everyone is allergic to cow's milk. That's why mammals breast feed. When you don't or can't breast feed, one thing missing is the immune system building colostrum found in early breast milk. No formula is healthy -- they are just the best we can do sometimes.
